Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT Information & Questions

we were in room 3020 on Moorea the first week of the restart of fireworks (june 26th through july 3rd) and had a lagoon view....we could barely hear any music and im not really sure where it was comig from

Maybe the ferry landing at TTC--it is piped in there as well.

has Disney confirmed this? The article is just an assumption based off the discontinuation of bus service. They could expect Poly guests to walk to the TTC to get to Epcot via monorail.

No. DIsney has not put out any offcial press releases confirming that Epcot monorial will begin July 18, or that monorail-loop bus service to Epcot is ending and when, or any official update on the Poly monorail reopening. It's all based on outsiders quoting "sources".

We can remain hopeful though!

I just looked at “ breakfast “ and assumed that any available time would show up. There are no breakfast times showing for any date that I chose.
You have to look for specific times. I just did my ADRs on Monday and had no problems grabbing Kona and then having to move it to earlier in our trip. Pick a time that you'd prefer to eat at and you should get about a 30 minute range before and after of what is available. You may run into the same issue when doing any of your ADRs and searching by meal type and not picking a specific time.

We have our first Poly stay booked starting on 9/15. The 60 day dining window is about to open and I am looking to book a reservation at the Kona Cafe. I tried to search for breakfast reservations for September 14th, the latest date available to book, and there aren’t any breakfast times available. I then started searching random dates and was never able to see an available breakfast time. Is Kona currently open for breakfast? I have to make my reservation on Sunday and I didn’t want to get up at 6 am if I didn’t have to.
TIA!

Just noting, 60 days from a 9/15 check in is tomorrow (Saturday). :-)

Does anyone know what days they are doing the Movies under the Stars at the Polynesian? last year it was Wed, Thu, Fri...has that changed?

Rooms with standard views are in Rarotonga, Aotearoa, Fiji, and Niue. I believe that's all of them. I prefer Rarotonga the most, but they all have nice views. Fiji has standard views looking towards the Grand Floridian. I think the other side of the building is pool/marina view. Niue is right beside Samoa, but is only two floors. The bottom floor has a patio and the second floor does not have balconies. If you want a balcony and an upper floor, I would not put in a request for Niue although I do like the location of this longhouse. The other three longhouses only have balconies on the third floors. I always request Rarotonga, third floor. Hope that helps!
Thank you for this insight!!

Lots of movement and construction vehicles and personnel here now. Still very enjoyable. Anything I should check on for anyone before we check out tomorrow?
