What is your opinion on the United Kingdom?

shouldn't it be "Fooders", not "Foodies"?

Hotdogs are sandwiches.
This could be a thread on it's own. But you of course are correct.

Moving on...

You only eat at Palo and Remy because kids aren't allowed.

Aioli is just flavoured mayo.

White Claw is terrible.

In N Out is nothing special.

(This is starting to remind me of the Molson Canadian Rant...)

Sushi is gross.

Truffles And truffle oil taste like plastic.

Wine tastes like sock sweat.

Cilantro tastes like soap — and since at least 20% of the population has this genetic predisposition you should stop randomly putting it in my food.
Fresh cilantro tastes like soap for me. Made a dish with dried cilantro and it was awesome. As we preferred fresh usually, we bought some fresh cilantro and planned it for the next year's garden and our next meal tasted like soap to myself and one of our daughters.

Mushrooms taste like dirt.

Lobster is the cockroach of the sea.
Beets taste like dirt. Mushrooms taste like I need to and do put them in and on everything :rotfl2:

N.Y. Style Cheesecake RULES
I don't think that is a trigger. That I think is pretty common opinion and I will say I had low expectations that it would be as good as they say, but Junior's blew me away. So much that we have spent $170 on Junior's Cheesecakes delivered for several birthdays now.

NY pizza on the other hand, was a complete disappointment. It's not that I didn't like it, it was awesome but when I took that first bite, it was no different than the cheap mall pizza in our malls here. I love mall pizza, but I was expecting to be as blown away about the pizza as I was about the cheesecake. Ended up being blown away by the cheesecake and disappointed in the pizza.

Whoops, I've got a big one...

Chick-fil-a is WAY overrated. It's just a chicken sandwich and their waffle fries are awful as is their sauce.

I'm a big CFA fan, but I can definitely see that. Their chicken sandwiches are very good (especially the spicy) and more importantly consistently good - some other places have a better chicken sandwich but quality and service can not be up to par. The fries are only good when VERY fresh - if you go to the drive-thru just skip them unless you are eating them right away. They don't travel well at all! You can get a bag of waffle chips that are a good alternative. I don't put any sauces on my sandwich, bu I like to dip fries in the Polynesian or the Honey Roasted BBQ sauces.
