Sam’s Club vs Costco - Which do you prefer?

For Me......Sam’s Club
We’ve had a membership to both and I will always like Sam’s Club better.
Costco is nice, but it doesn’t have all the brands I like.

I voted Other. I've been to Costco with my sister a few times because she shops there regularly, but I don't have a membership to either place. I've tried to convince my family to get one to Costco (we don't have a Sam's Club nearby) because there are 5 of us counting the baby and I think it would pay to buy in bulk in the long run. So far, no luck.

I have membership to both. Sam's just recently with a groupon for membership.
Costco for almost 35 years.
I prefer Costco. Like the brand, like the store layout. Love the meat and produce.
Sam's is a mess for me to find things. They do have better choice of snacks and candies.

I voted other because we have a different one around here called BJ’s Wholesale Club. But it’s the same concept.

🤣 The “there are new posts” thing popped up as I was typing, and someone else just said the same thing!

Anyway, we have a membership, and I like it. It’s not terribly close, so we don’t go too often (but that’s probably good for my wallet, since they carry lots of things I don’t actually need.)

Don't think there are Sams Clubs here. I used to have a membership to Costco through my old employer. In all honesty didn’t buy a whole lot for personal use. Being a single person buying in bulk isn’t that practical.

My oldest goes with her boyfriend and I’ll have her get a few thing like trash bags, toothbrush heads, water filters, sponges and cat food come to mind. I still have batteries and lightbulbs I bought THREE years ago.

I had a membership at BJ’s club for about 7 years but let it expire several years ago.

When Costco first opened in my area I received an invitation for a free 30 day trial with some good coupons. I liked it but declined to join because I couldn’t justify paying membership fees at two different clubs.

I’ve never been to a Sam’s club.

We had a Sam's Club around here maybe 15/20 years ago. It lasted for 2 years and then it went under. I had a membership for a year and didn't like it. I guess nobody did. It was dead all the time.

I go to Costco a couple of times a year. It's slammed all the time.

Other. No Sam's Club in Canada and although my DH used to have a membership, it's not a place we went regularly and I haven't been in one for years now.

Another BJ’s shopper here. I’ve been a member for over 20 years. There is no Sam’s club. I’ve been to Costco a number of times with friends or family (going back to the 80’s when it was Price Club), but I much prefer BJ’s and its location is more convenient. There are 3 of them within 10 miles of my house.

We have both in my area. We gave up Sam's when the Costco opened. #1 reason was because it was on our side of town. We shop Costco often and I fill the gas tank there religiously. I think Costco's products may be a bit higher quality than Sam's. Everything Kirkland has been a great product!

I belong to all 3 - Each offers something different. I probably due BJ's the most since it is just down the block from where I live. I prefer Sam's for meat. Costco has a lot of their own Kirkland brands that I use.

I love costco. For those saying costco doesn't have as many snacks, if you have a Costco business center nearby you should check it out. You can use your regular Costco membership they have like 5 aisles of candy, several aisles of chips, and a whole lot more snack variety.

We love Costco . No Sam’s here.

Love all the seasonal things . Get my books and some clothes there too.

Sam's club for sure. We were long-term members of Costco & switched to Sam's about 18 months ago and I like is SO much more. The biggest thing I like is curbside pickup and Scan n'Go, which are SO much easier than standing in the long, long lines at our Costco.

Sam's also has free delivery for a ton of items on their website if you're a premiere member. That's been really helpful to me during the pandemic.

We belong to Sam's . We used belong to Costco but a couple of years ago I got a fee membership so I switched, I have a couple friends who belong to Costco so I go with them if I need something there.

Sam's, BJ's and Costco all have locations in our city. We had a membership to Sam's Club many years ago (when it was the only one here) and we have been to BJ's a couple of times with my parents.)

We prefer Costco... mainly because it's the most convenient to our house. We have found a lot of their stuff to be good. I'm sure the others have nice things, too, though. For us it seems to be mainly about convenience.

Closest Sam’s club is in a very bad neighborhood so we usually go to BJ’s because it is close. Stop at Costco on way home if I’m working in the office
