I have lots of thoughts and feelings...

Fantastic episode. I was right on with the runtime being in the upper 40s.

I will be honest, I’m kind of upset it was Luke. Loved seeing him and R2 though. I immediately knew it was Luke based on the hand and green saber. I was hoping it would be a different Jedi. This sets it up for Grogu to die in the trainings. Obviously he could escape but I’m not hopeful.

I wonder if the plan all along was for The Mandalorian to be a set of different stories from Mandalorians. We saw Din Djarin to start but now it’s the Fett story. Possibly we see stories from several different mandalorians going forward. I’m very intrigued.

Very well could be. Din’s story does seem pretty well wrapped up at the end of Series 2, and his character could move over to the Rangers series next season while Boba takes over the Mando series.

I’m regretting not watching this morning. Haven’t gotten hit with any spoilers yet. Was hoping to gauge how good it was from here but everything is spoiler tags lol

I’m pro spoiler, but even I would say avoid them like your life depends on it! Lol. Stay strong, it’s worth it!

I got an inkling when it was an X-Wing to show up. At first I thought it was it was Paul Sun-hyung Lee and he would have a fleet behind him. But then it's like, "One X-wing?" Hmmmm.

I'm not sure what they are doing for the shows, but does it really matter? If Boba Fett is now the star of The Mandalorian and Din Djarin is on Rangers, well, it's all really just one big show anyway. Like Paplatine, they apparently have plans on plans - count me in for the ride!

I agree with this. Slightly upset.

Very affected right now.

Is this the end?! Is season 3 Boba Fett's season?! I don't think I was ready to say goodbye to the Mandalorian. But that sure felt that an ending.

Some bullet point thoughts:

-knew Cara could take that shot

-I felt for sure that Fennec or Bo Katan's sidekick were dead. Looks like our only big casualty of the season was the Crest.

-was also wrong about Grogu going dark.

-was right that Bo Katan would be back. But geez....that didn't end well. I feel like she could have just explained herself a bit better, like I need to be the one who defeats him or the saber is worthless. Would have been good to toss out there and would have taken half a minute.

-Also, they should have known Gideon would be with the child. Mando basically sent a calling card that said we're on the way.

-dark saber looks pretty sweet

-I know I'll get s**t for this, but Marvel, pay attention. This is how you have a bad a** group of warrior women. You don't need to call special attention to it (cough cough end game) just let it happen naturally.

LUKE
-the second the X wing showed up my first thought was...Trapper Wolf?!

-but of course Luke. I know people will hate it but I was so happy. Luke deserved that moment of supreme *** kicking. Once again, I know people will disagree but I hated Luke in the new trilogy. So I was happy to see that.

-and R2!! He was probably letting Grogu know not to pull any tricks with him, that he'd already dealt with one of his kind

-also...there has to be more. Grogu isn't there when Kylo Ren has his fit and kills everyone. Grogu studied under Mando. Grogu would have b**** slapped Kylo Ren and ended it in 5 seconds.

-this really felt like an ending. Mando took his helmet off. They said goodbye. The Crest is gone.

-and the ending....hahaha giant Bib Fortuna. I hope the Boba show is only a season. Just not sure how much of that I want to watch.

-I give it 5 years tops until the CGI is good enough to make another feature film with the original cast (Han, Luke, Leia). That's what I want.

I am very excited, but also very sad that they tricked us and I think that was the end of the story.

Okay. Okay, for my sanity I'm going to pretend that Groju joins dark-side, meets up with Mando and is about to kill him, Mando takes off helmet, Groju recognizes him and they all live happily ever after. The end.

I would say you need to watch as soon as you get a hour of free time.

I cried during the credits, the farewell between Din and Grogu plus the score behind it was so emotional. I'm really sad that it felt like a series finale instead of a season finale. Boba should have his own show/limited series; let Mando season 3 expand on the conflict between Bo Katan and Din over the darksaber. I feel like they also need to cover the fallout with death watch now that Din has decided to remove his helmet on multiple occasions.

^ Went to quote you and the spoiler tag popped up. I only saw one name that wasn’t anything major for me, and not really a “spoiler” since I don’t know what it was in context to. But without Twitter, I can make it to 6 without worrying about spoilers, especially now that I know not to quote anyone with spoiler tags. What’s the runtime of the episode?
