Favorite Christmas cookies or treats?

Wondering what your favorite Christmas goodies are?

Some of my favorites are warm Gingerbread, homemade toffee and cheesecake.

What’s a hit in your house?

chocolate rum balls, so strong they make my eyes water.
Panettone, chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter blossoms, snickerdoodles & iced sugar cookies. Not terribly exciting or exotic, but I don't bake a lot, nor do I buy a lot of sweets so it's just a treat to have all that stuff in the house!

Personal favs of mine are Gingerbread, though I love ginger snaps/gingerbread year round. I really love Panettone, but I have to wait till the small ones come out since my husband isn't a fan (yay for Trader Joe's) and I used to enjoy Christmas pudding. It's been harder to find that though.

An old family Christmas cookie cutout recipe with nutmeg and cloves in the dough. These have always been the definitive "Christmas cookie" to me because these are what we always made and decorated rather than just regular sugar cookies.

Everything else is pretty basic. Chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal, chocolate crinkles. I love the smell of gingerbread and adore gingerbread themed decorations, but don't like the taste! Not a fan of molasses. So last year I decided to try making speculaas cookies, which are the type of cookies that cookie butter is made out of. All the delicious holiday spices without the molasses! They went over pretty well last year so it looks like it's going to become a new tradition.

We don't really do any other holiday treats other than cookies, now that I think about it. Oh, and fudge. (My mom makes the best fudge ever!)

Pralines and iced sugar cookies from scratch. Sometimes I add in butter cookies and iced chocolate drop cookies.

I have fond memories of one of my Grandmother's neighbors who would bring her a huge tin of homemade candy every year - peanut butter rolls, divinity, cream candy, bourbon balls.......I don't know how to make any of it but those were always my favorites.

I'm sick of all the things I usually make and trying to come up with some new ideas this year.

Homemade pies!
I do Pumpkin (that is actually good!), Pecan, and a mouthwatering Apple Pie with walnut streusel on top.
Sugar cookies, of course!!!
I don't make candy. But, last year, my sister made some delicious candies. Her Pralines were to die for!

We do so much baking. Hundreds of cookies. I love simple shortbread. I also do a Newfoundland cherry cake that is so good.

In addition to those two favourites, this year we did Toblerone shortbread, thumbprint cookies, sugar cookies, snowball (another Newfoundland treat), moose farts, Italian fig cookies, Oreo Bon bons (make those because I heard about them here), Italian ricotta cookies, melting moments, Smartie cookies.

everyone gets to pick a couple of their favorites
Chocolate covered cherry cookies, stir and drop sugar cookies, peanut butter blossoms, haystacks (but we call them spiders), gingerbread, gingersnaps, fudge, chocolate chip cheesecake bars and chocolate chip.

Just finished the last of them today.
Experimenting with gingerbread with no molasses.....the gingersnaps tasted the best.

I love the old-fashioned ribbon candy straws with the chocolate inside, and the chocolate star shaped cookies with white sprinkles.

I'm picky because I abhor mint and I'm not fond of chocolate but I count my mom's pumpkin pie as an Xmas treat and I always make a fluffy cotton cheesecake with apricots in it which I love. Gonna try a glazed one this year.

Fudge but I really only make/get that every few years.

A coworker brought some for our exchange today (bought at a bakery, not homemade) and I must say I am not impressed.
