I also wonder how many BGs they released today. What is the highest we know of so far?

I don’t know. But yes, I’m sure that’s probably the biggest reason. And they could have made boarding groups smaller as well.

After seeing BG’s gone around 8:30 ish the last few days, we decided to go with the first bus out of GF (which GF told us would be at 7:15). We arrived to bus stop at 7:04. HS bus did not arrive until 7:23 (Meanwhile, 3 AK busses came and went with nobody boarding during that time). There was a scooter load needed, and the bus driver not once, but TWICE had to back up and repark after parking too far from the curb for the ramp. Then another HS bus came right behind and had to wait for the bus driver to correct. Of course ended up tapping in about 9 minutes after BG’s gone All this to say, even now, don’t trust the bus system because we had a fluke bus issue on top of BG’s going earlier than the past few days.

Cruise ship day?? An influx of people who add a pre-cruise Disney trip. Seems to impact Wednesdays quite frequently. Or, Pop Warner Football teams that have been eliminated from the Superbowl?

Just waiting for the pre show now - nearly there. 45 min queue today. We did run round the previous two times so with the problems yesterday we cannot complain when some people haven’t rode once.

Haven’t seen any pop warner groups at all yet (in this park). I’m guessing it’s a combination of word getting out, bad day yesterday (so more reattenpts today) and probably limiting boarding groups more).

If you know you can’t get there super early, it’s probably best to avoid going the day after a lot of stoppages where lots of people were shut out of the ride.

DW doesn’t want a repeat of yesterday, so they’re probably being more stingy today with the number of boarding groups and/or the number of people in each boarding group.

My guess is it’s some combo of everything. Maybe fewer BGs, capacity for appeasement from yesterday, bigger crowds, etc. Every Disney blogger and their cousin has posted a “how to guide” over the last 2 days so the word will only continue to spread about the hyper-need to get there early.

Me again! Wanted to add- we’re talking with guest services in HS right now and are being told busses started running at 6:04 this morning. So, GF told us last night that first bus would be 7:15... but apparently was actually earlier than what they were able to provide the night before.
PS- we did consider Minnie Van or Lyft but we’re a party of 7 including a car seat so it seemed like a much bigger headache than being told the first bus would be 7:15 combined with previous days BG’s being gone later.

Sorry you got shut out, that really stinks.

Heed this story DIS readers who are planning on using WDW transportation - if you’re going to the trouble Of doing your research and reading this thread and you drag yourself out of bed at the crack of dawn, spend the $10-$15 on an Uber.

Does anyone know about the Skyliner time opening? We're staying CBR in January and we're planning on Skyliner getting to HS.

What I saw was Gondola opens one hour before park opens, including EMH but...people here are saying it's not that predictable. The advice I was given was to ride the bus instead or take an uber.

Great grid! The columns on number of boarding groups and how many get through the ride each day would be really helpful to track for planning purposes. Can you keep updating your grid and posting somewhere?

Just got out so over 1 hour 15 to ride. We came out from the right side today and left side didn’t even have empty vehicles leaving as the right did when we rode left.
