Tonight's story on The Points Guy Meme is somewhat unique and calls for a different kind of introduction. This, as you may recognize, is TPG, still a shill, waiting for you. We invite you, if you dare, to take a look because in tonight's episode you are the target. And this comment travels directly to . . . The TPG Meme Zone.

I use the app daily! It is the only way to keep myself honest. I just figured out what I can eat for my snack tonight.

Today I was a day ahead and knew last night that my snack would be Goldfish. (I am a salty/crunchy snack person usually). They were delicious...

Exactly! My teeth feel kind of gross right now though. I can feel the sugar sitting on them.

I hate that. I frequently have to go brush my teeth afterwards just to get that coating off.

Me too! Nothing like planning a day's worth of food during breakfast so you can splurge or whatever. Plus lunch can really mess up dinner.

I am trying to pretty much eat a "meal" one time a day because limiting all my meals to 400 calories each just isn't working for me.

I do, too. Except when I travel because it's just too hard then. It definitely keeps me on track when I'm using it though.

Taking my son to DL next week and not even gonna try!!

Surprisingly, I have never gained weight at WDW. I don’t skimp, eat whatever I want but the walking definitely counteracts my intake. Plus we don’t do sit down meals most of the time. Maybe one or two sit down meals and the rest are quick serve or snacks, especially at F&W/F&G. We like to snack our way around Epcot.
We had a 17 day trip to China about 10 years ago. Ate everything in sight but walked like crazy, lost 20#. I think it was the walking plus the stress and jet lag.

There was a time when I'd actually lose weight on a DL trip. Those days, sadly, are gone....

So, Amex folks: I am meeting an MSR. If I add a couple GCs (probably Xbox, Steam, or maybe iTunes or something of that nature... maybe fast/casual restaurants) as part of normal grocery procedures (which is totally normal for me, especially at this time of year, but Amex won't know that because I'm brand new to them), are they going to freak out and is the RAT going to get me?

as long as it doesnt end in a whole # or ends with a .95, you should be fine.

I have bought $500 Visa gift cards combined with other groceries while meeting MSR on an Amex card before and the bonus posted fine. I mean, the cashier was definitely judging me but besides that, no problems. I believe the big pitfalls with Amex MSRs and gift cards are drugstores and office supply stores since they supply L3 data to Amex that breaks down line-by-line what you purchased. I believe most grocery stores don't supply L3 data - at least, HEB doesn't!

Disregard. I can't get the return flight on the day I wanted anyway!

Also in churning milestones, just closed my first "churn" card! I opened the Barclay AA Biz last Oct, made 1 purchase and paid the $95 fee, got 60k points. Despite good intentions never used the card again. Sent SM yesterday to close it out before they even think about charging the AF and got the reply back today that it's closed out. When I sign in I get a message that my account is restricted so I think it's actually closed!

This is pretty historic since I tend to collect cards rather than actually churn them :) Here's hoping Barcray doesn't hold a grudge if I ever decide to venture there again!

I just closed my JB biz a little over a week ago. Also received confirmation from them. Not sure if I'll ever apply for any Barclay biz card again based on the stories I've read about them.

My sister has had a couple cattle dogs. One blue, one red. The blue one was epic, just an awesome dog, followed her everywhere, obsessive with the fetching, great guard dog (especially when my sister’s ex stalked her) The red was a rescue from a hoarder situation and sadly she was just nuts. Food aggressive, other dog aggressive, plus had some weird immune system thing where she would run intermittent fevers of 104-105.
I used to always call them cattle dogs but have gotten into the habit of red heelers because BIL/his SO will correct you  I'm just like... it's the same... lol

My great grandma had one when I was young that she rescued from the Humane Society. It bit me right around the eye when I was 3 :scared: He was kind of a strange, one person dog. I can still see the scar from it by my eye in the right light. He also bit me on the wrist when I was 6 or so. That's about the only dog that's really scared me, as far as I can recall. She used to babysit me when I was young and I'd play downstairs and he'd lie at the bottom of the stairs and not let me up. That was what happened with my wrist; he was guarding the stairs and I wanted to go up so I reached out my palm slowly to be sniffed... like a peace offering... and got bit instead. I promise I wasn't just being an overenthusiastic child who scared the dog, I was always respectful with animals. All of the versions of the story about being bit by my eye were that that was pretty much unprovoked 🤷‍♀️
