Ok now, Folks - BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!
I was approved for a Chase Business card at 7/24!!!!!!!! (Using 'offers for you' and the starred offers on my account)
And just to give you an idea of how happy I am, here are my stats:
(all personal - I also have several business cards not shown)
NFCU Flagship 3/19
Amex Gold 11/18
AmEx Brilliant 8/18
Chase Freedom 7/18
Amtrak BOA 7/18
Chase Marriott 12/17
Chase Hyatt 9/17 - I know this is dropping off but not gone from my report yet. I won't be 4/24 until next July.
My new card is the Chase Ink Business Unlimited or CIU for short.
Yesterday after many months of 'offers' that only included car loans, mortgages, bank bonuses, I noticed 2 offers for business credit cards. I was so excited as I haven't had an MSR to meet since March!
So, after asking a question or two and not really considering everything I plowed ahead and applied for CIP 80k/5k. I was instantly denied.
Immediately I applied for CIU, my other offer, $500/3 months and got the 2 week message. Went to bed early last night after calling the status line 5 times until about 6pm.
Woke up and forgot about my app until I read
@PolyRob 's 30 day wait....so I checked my business account with Chase and there was my new card with the fabulous credit line of $4000!
This brings me to my next analysis and advice to others: I took no time to do any credit line reducing and there I am at something close to 80% of income with Chase. No wonder they didn't give me a CIP! Back before retirement, I was way less than 50% but my finances are different now. I get a pension or two or three and have assets in the form of retirement accounts. I just added up the pension money and applied with that figure which I actually live on right now but which doesn't represent my true financial picture. People without pensions would be drawing from their retirement accounts, and I ignored that possible 'income' on my app (and they don't ask).
So, I will be reducing those credit lines before I apply for any other card. Business or personal. And I will 'up' my income to a true picture when I apply again for the CIP next year or sooner if they give me another shot at it.
But, this morning I can't wait for that little piece of plastic to arrive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And last but not least thanks to
@SouthFayetteFan and
@Lain for the validation and encouragement yesterday when I stumbled on my gold mine!
