We are gonna stop at Epcot first because it’ll be my fourth time and I can get the coasters. So hopefully the wind will die down by the time we head home. Dh will drop me off and stay in the car with the cats lol

Don't forget to bring his AP in and I think they will give you his set.

Yes, I added 1 ticket, hit next until it asked for personal info, then backspace 2x, add another, rinse and repeat.

I have the confirmation email, screenshot of purchase page, screenshot of ticket terms and conditions, and I logged in to double check and all 4 tickets are showing in my account, so I *think* I'm ok.
That’s great to hear and sounds like you are. When you get your tickets, be sure to tag me. Good luck! You planning on cancelling?

@Andysol you could conceivably book x3 park tickets, cancel and take the voucher. Then rebook at hotel/tranfer only package, add on the last ticket (and you could do a child since you can put 4 people in the room), and book at the cheapest room rate possible. Cancel that and you have the last ticket at double redemption value, with a smaller voucher left for the room reimbursement. Still not sure if insurance is needed in any of these steps since the tickets say they are nonrefundable you SHOULD be able to cancel in 24 hours.

Hi guys, I've been MIA and I apologize. Life is moving so fast all the time! Agh!

DH is leaving next week for annual training. He's spending 3 weeks at a Fairfield Inn by Marriott. I'd like to capitalize as best I can on this, though I believe he has to use his government credit card. We're loyal to Hilton, but don't really have to be. DH has the Hilton Honors Amex Aspire (newly renamed I believe). Should I status match with Marriott? I'd really like for him to earn points on this. We've also been debating upgrading DH to HHonors Amex Aspire card, but haven't bit the bullet yet. (The $450 fee is a deterrent).

DH has 3 recently opened cards in the last two years. I don't remember them off the top of my head though. He has used 3/5 of his Chase slots though I believe.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

And my MIL certainly doesn't mistreat her pets either and they're very spoiled. But like they just recently had to put down their 13 year old corgi. They never neutered him because they wanted to breed him even though the dog was nowhere near breed standard. The one time they attempted to breed him was a fail. Yet they still never neutered him. So what happens? He ends up getting prostate cancer and they have to put him down. Now, I understand that the dog was 13 and lived a long life... but I've neutered all of my pets and never had one get prostate cancer.
I never thought about prostate cancer. That is also an issue I don't agree with.. they don't spay and neuter always. Of the three right now, only one is spayed. A previous dog wasn't neutered until the spayed one came into the household, because she was not spayed originally. That was all before my time and that male has passed away. But maybe 3ish years ago this female got a uterine infection and almost died, per the vet. Now she is spayed  Now the younger two dogs are not spayed/neutered. They are from the same parents, different litters. It is so awful when she goes into heat. There aren't really plans to breed, but I think that is part of the reason they aren't yet... like a secret hope. When I worked at a vet clinic I saw several unsprayed but never bred females come in with prolapsed uteruses over the course of a year. I've just never dealt with an unneutered male so never thought too hard about it, other than being a big proponent of spaying and neutering!

Ugh! Nothing drives me crazier than people who don't spay or neuter! Especially having to deal with that with a female dog. MIL originally didn't neuter any of her three male dogs, but finally did neuter two of them. And they were terrible about marking everywhere, so why would you even want to not neuter them?!

If he has to use the gov credit card, he still can get points for the stay on this Marriott account. But I think that's all that he can get. I've yet to figured out how to work the system when the school foots the bill outside of earning the stay/nights/points. Now when they let me pay and I get reimbursed, game on, LOL

Ok now, Folks - BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!

I was approved for a Chase Business card at 7/24!!!!!!!! (Using 'offers for you' and the starred offers on my account)

And just to give you an idea of how happy I am, here are my stats:
(all personal - I also have several business cards not shown)

NFCU Flagship 3/19
Amex Gold 11/18
AmEx Brilliant 8/18
Chase Freedom 7/18
Amtrak BOA 7/18
Chase Marriott 12/17
Chase Hyatt 9/17 - I know this is dropping off but not gone from my report yet. I won't be 4/24 until next July.

My new card is the Chase Ink Business Unlimited or CIU for short.

Yesterday after many months of 'offers' that only included car loans, mortgages, bank bonuses, I noticed 2 offers for business credit cards. I was so excited as I haven't had an MSR to meet since March!

So, after asking a question or two and not really considering everything I plowed ahead and applied for CIP 80k/5k. I was instantly denied.

Immediately I applied for CIU, my other offer, $500/3 months and got the 2 week message. Went to bed early last night after calling the status line 5 times until about 6pm.

Woke up and forgot about my app until I read @PolyRob 's 30 day wait....so I checked my business account with Chase and there was my new card with the fabulous credit line of $4000!

This brings me to my next analysis and advice to others: I took no time to do any credit line reducing and there I am at something close to 80% of income with Chase. No wonder they didn't give me a CIP! Back before retirement, I was way less than 50% but my finances are different now. I get a pension or two or three and have assets in the form of retirement accounts. I just added up the pension money and applied with that figure which I actually live on right now but which doesn't represent my true financial picture. People without pensions would be drawing from their retirement accounts, and I ignored that possible 'income' on my app (and they don't ask).

So, I will be reducing those credit lines before I apply for any other card. Business or personal. And I will 'up' my income to a true picture when I apply again for the CIP next year or sooner if they give me another shot at it.

But, this morning I can't wait for that little piece of plastic to arrive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And last but not least thanks to @SouthFayetteFan and @Lain for the validation and encouragement yesterday when I stumbled on my gold mine!
Congrats party: That’s great

DH is also required to use his government visa. Yesterday he checked into a Marriott and they requested a PIN for his government visa. He was like ***, I have never been asked that before. Tried calling Citi, couldn't get through, so he ended up putting $500+ on his personal card. The hotel said they had several other government people there and all had the same problem and apologized. He texted me to let me know and I am like YAY!!!! LOL Please don't ever request the PIN and maybe this will happen again sometime.

As for status match, I have no idea how to do it, but I found this on TPG (hangs head in shame). I am not sure if it goes both ways?

While Hilton doesn’t state which statuses will match up where, TPGreaders have previously reported that IHG Platinum and Marriott Platinum matched to Diamond while Choice Diamond and Best Western Diamond matched to Gold.

For those that have done repositioning flights within Europe, what carriers have you used that didn’t charge a fortune for checked bags? Ryan Air is cheap but it’s showing $100 for checked bags.

We are hoping to bridge the tickets to DVC AP, but if not we will just "rough it" with 7 day base tickets for that trip. I plan on cancelling the travel portion and use the voucher in the future. I've only paid $44 OOP, so I'm happy with the redemption even if we can't upgrade. That just slashed costs for that Disney trip to only food & entertainment (SW flights and DVC points covered already).

I would call and ask for a status match. If they can’t, they may offer a Challenge- stay so many days and get a status that way. That’s what I’ve seen via google search when I was matching whatever I could for our summer vacation.

It cracks me up what gets censored and what doesn't. lol I guess text lingo for what the fudge gets bleeped.
