I have to pay off my WDW trip soon and am trying to decide which card to use. I have CSR and CSP. DH has CIP. I am thinking CSR since it has both 3% travel category and built in trip insurance. Any other factors I am not considering?

It’s too late for GC, I want to pay it today cause I’m traveling till next week. I also have the Disney Visa, if that gives anything special. I think it gives you 6 months to pay it off with 0 interest maybe but I don’t know if that even applies to the final payoff amount or not. I don’t know if there’s any other reason to use Disney Visa. I’m thinking CIP or CSR for the 3% travel bonus?

swagbucks its a way to get free gift cards for lots of stores including visas or if you have paypal you can transfer your earnings to your account. I've been lucky to be able to get over $1000 this year from letting the videos run
Free GC sound good. I’m going to ha e to find a Swag Bucks 101 primer somewhere. Anybody have one handy?

i think so, im at around $1900... is that not enough?
maybe i need to go buy more... :D

:scared1: Wow! Just bought enough today to hold us for the year (mainly cloud storage costs or something technical like that that I don't really understand.)

As a tangent (and rant), I’ve come to really hate shopping for gift cards at my local Lowe’s store. I’ve been trying to use up the Amex 10% offers at Lowe’s on my wife’s and my Amex cards, doing $100 or $200 every now and then to stay under the radar, since I have until the end of November before the deal expires, and in the past two weeks, my closest store suddenly started requiring a manager or head cashier to authorize gift card purchases over $200, but that hasn’t stopped some overzealous cashiers from asking for approval on every gift card purchase. And then, I’ve had several cashiers start telling me I can’t use a credit card [to buy a gift card]: “Can’t buy credit with credit” (what? Didn’t know you could buy a “credit card,” not even trying to buy a prepaid card; no use explaining that I’m buying a third-party merchant’s gift card), or “That’s always been Lowe’s policy” (uh, no. Not as recently as last week or at your other stores), or “You can’t use a credit card to buy a gift card anywhere, Target, Walmart, Best Buy...” (uh yeah you can, and I do it all the time!), and the kicker, “it’s against the law!”

I ended up driving 10 miles down the freeway to another Lowe’s and finished off what has become a PITA offer with $500 in Amazon gift cards, which I’ve been stacking with the Amex MR 20% Amazon deal (thanks @wendow, since I checked here before seeing it on DoC and SD). No problems there.

So I can got to staples and grab amazon GC at 10% off (amex rebate) and then use 1 MR (for 20% discount) and the discounted amazon GC to purchase something on amazon?

I'm wondering the same thing. Amazon was picky with our order (only one of our AMEXs would work, and not the others, or our Chase cards). Didn't try a GC though.

i did that with the Best Buys AO, Spend $300 for $30 back...
sadly, its all gone and i need more Amazon GCs... You can buy a gift card with Amazon GCs so Amazon GCs are super easy to spend...

Yep.I don't need Disney gift cards right away, so I've been stocking up on discounted Amazon gift cards at Lowe's and Best Buy. Got 20% off by applying a single MR point to my purchases, and paid with cards purchased at 10-20% discount.

For those interested in Doing swagbucks, there are support links you can sign up through on DISchurners.

I don’t have a primer but I recommend the very helpful thread here on the budget forum with many of the same faces as this thread. I make about $1200 a year with SBs and I only do the easy/passive stuff.
