Anyone up? Harry & Meghan Royal Wedding Watch thread

How could you have missed the HAT even if you didn't see Oprah? :lmao:

I remember thinking that the poor person sitting behind her will miss the whole ceremony as they can't see around the hat. :crazy2:
Hopefully the person behind her was wearing a hat that had a nice long hat pin in it!

Which ones are still available? I think my choices are getting slim.
I told my daughter she's too young for the Queen's grandsons and too old for her great grandsons. She told me there's a nice eligible prince in Sweden. princess:

A friend who knew how much I loved the flowers in the chapel told me that she heard a report that the flowers were taken down and distributed to patients at a hospital. Makes me happy to know they weren't simply tossed.

Yes, I saw a segment on the news. They donated the flowers to a local hospice center. They showed pictures of the patients and staff with the flowers. Meghans bouquet went on the Grave of the Unknown Warrior.

Ben Mulroney, father of the twin page boys and one of the bridesmaids, was sharing a bit on his morning show here yesterday - he hosts. He said he asked his son what was so exciting when he walked in the church - ie. the infamous picture behind Meghan.

He answered that he had never heard a trumpet before.

So a musical instrument made him full of joy. Oh to be young! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Do you know what the ODDS are of Meghan Markle to be the one to land Prince Harry?
Your entire post was excellent, but I had to laugh at this part...because SERIOUSLY PEOPLE!

When I was little, my mom kept telling me she wanted me to marry Prince William someday. Now I know why that didn't actually happen - I didn't read Diana's biography OR support the correct charities! It all makes sense now! :rotfl2:

Reading Diana's biography has nada to do with marrying a prince, obviously - as you already know. So you didn't miss your boat. Nor did millions who probably read it. ;)

It was merely mentioned because Meghan speaks like she knew little of Harry, and of the goings and comings of the Royal Family. Tying in some of us having a gut feeling that there is some disingenuity in her personality when she talks, besides these stories. That's all. Are we right? Who knows? Maybe not.

It has nada to do with a prince for me. Or marrying one, yeah what are the chances? Slim to none. Or gaining fortune in any way. And I think she's beautiful, successful and of course has given back to many. And hope they're very happy in life.

It's not as big of a deal as people are making this out to be.

I was shocked the moment I saw her by how completely average her outfit was.

Apparently, she had a dress all ready to go and then realized that although it was off-white, it would appear white. And she scrapped it, the night before.

So Stella McCartney had to put something together in mere hours. With her body type (not meant in any derogatory way), I'm sure that was something!

What a few of us were surprised about is that Oprah didn't pack a back-up dress. :goodvibes Once again, only because she doesn't have the body type to simply walk in anywhere at the last minute.

Fortunately for all involved, Oprah was seated in the third and last row of the sideways seats near the altar. No one was behind her. The women on the right don't seemed too impressed with American Royalty.

Oh my, crisis averted. So convenient that the emergency resulted in one of Oprah's favorite things -- media coverage about herself.

The irony being that if you walk into a large percentage of restaurants in our metro area early on a Sunday afternoon you will see dozens of women wearing nearly identical dresses, out to breakfast or lunch after church. That's what surprised me when I first saw it, it's been a standard Sunday wardrobe look for decades now.

:thumbsup2

Apparently the invitation said day dress. So maybe that translates to Sunday best here. Unsure.

Women don't support women, especially when the woman has done well for herself and managed to snag a prince.

Apparently, Meghan's net worth of 5 million is not wealthy and she would be in a desperate state once her show ended since she only got roles based on her father's connection as a lighting director.

I was surprised to learn lightning directors had such power in Hollywood. Who knew?

She shouldn't have worn a white dress since she was previously divorced (white dresses are reserved for first weddings of virgins based on Queen Victoria wearing one at her wedding so now all women for the rest of time have to follow suit).

Harry has gotten off scot free in this thread while Meghan is fake, calculating, a social climber, wannabe getting her claws into this perfect yet naive prince. Poor Harry.

Not really. Harry is an idiot who is unworthy of love. The only reason he got a second look is because he is a prince. I mean, people were able to recognize after watching her a few minutes on TV that she is a cold, calculating phony. He's such a moron!
