Our last Uber was $27 Dolphin to MCO but an Uber Black (larger car) would be more. Last trip we bypassed one Uber by using URs to book one night at a Disney resort, got MagicBands and DME then transferred to Dolphin (Disney will transfer your luggage no charge)
Thank you! I think I will show the teens the options and let them decide. :)

I'll add that I'm considering doing a night at a Disney resort then moving to the Dolphin like @CyndiLouWho mentioned. I need Fri thru Mon and am debating if I want to use SPG or more Dolphin nights or UR for Disney. I booked Mon to Sun before the points had gone up. They'll transfer your bags for you though, as long as you dont need them before 5 or 6pmish. Or you can move them yourself, I think uber is easiest for that

Do you Uber? How hard is it with 4 people/4 suitcases?
We ubered in FL, 4 adults with 4 large suitcases. Always used UberXL. A normal Uber can be a Prius or equally little car, would NOT have held us and our luggage. (Ubered MCO to WDW, WDW to off-site hotel, off-site hotel to Universal, Universal to MCO, we had mostly mini-vans with one suburban.)

Does anyone use Plastiq to pay private school tuition? Any issues? Ours is currently autodraft from our checking.

How long does it take from request to business receiving the check? Anything I should be aware of? This is a small school so will I need to set up the payee first?

My CSP is a year old next month. Any reason to not PC to a CF now?

Also, DH has has his CIP only since April 5. Can I go ahead and PC to cic? I have a CIP linked to my plastiq for the mortgage, so I want to PC his, instead of mine. I suppose the alternative is to wait a few months and get him a CIC via app. I just need to research to make sure there aren't any other chase biz cards he'd (I'd) rather have instead.

...trying to make a 18 month app plan here. :)
You may need to actually wait the full 12 months before you can PC the CSP (or do a regular Sapphire step-around). Doesn’t hurt to try just giving you a warning :)

I would wait on the CIP downgrade at least a few more days. CIU is rumored to come out soon. We will also soon see if CIC bonus will decrease... I would say you’d want to apply for CIC in 2-3months rather than downgrade to it. Why not earn a bonus :)

I use it for preschool tuition. I can't remember the shortest amount of time for them to receive, but a calendar will pop up when you set it up and show you the earliest date. It is probably 10 days or something.

No issues at all.

Hmmm...BWI is our home airport and we’ve never tried using our PP there. Maybe in June since we need to be there extra early for our flight to Punta Cana. Definitely not doing what we did at Christmas and barely made our flight.

I’m 45mins-1hr from BWI. Reagan is down the road, but I will drive for free food. lol.

I’m paranoid and I am always super early for my flights. It would be nice to relax in a lounge.

BWI is our home airport too. DH is the paranoid one about getting there early, while I like to not leave too much excess wait time, but now with the CSR :ssst:, we may be able to avoid that battle

I was thinking about the bonus too. Just always worry about hitting chase too hard. Here are his stats.

I'd think he is fine. His total chase CL is prob around $100k, though, so I'd have to get him to call and decrease some CLs.

You can just SM Chase and ask them to decrease the limits. I recently did that with mine since I’m thinking about a CIC or a CIU and I had to move credit around when I got the SW Plus and Marriott. I was right around $100k also but nowhere near 40-50% of income. I also have the SW Premier and Plus I’ll be closing in late summer so that will free up some further room.

Oh I forgot he has both SW to close soon too. That will fix the CL thing. He isn’t near 50% either, but I figure they may not want to extend much more than the $100k.

Agree with the above!

Just a word of warning as well, which would not apply to teenagers as they don't earn enough, there are income caps for Roth IRAs. If you are a single individual, making 120,000 or more a year, you are only eligible to contribute a prorated amount into a Roth IRA and there are also income caps for couples as well, otherwise there can be tax penalties associated with the contribution.

Google backdoor Roth IRA. DH and I are outside Roth limits but have used this loophole of contributing to traditional IRA and rolling into Roth. We use Vanguard but any brokerage will do. Our tax accountant was very impressed with us the year we started, I’m pretty sure we have her using this loophole as well.

Sorry if this was already posted. I’m still so many posts behind!

you shouldnt have any problems using plastiq to pay for your private school tuition. few things you should check first, does the school take credit cards directly?
im assuming you checked, just thought i throw it out there.

I think @Lain pays for his kid's tuition through plastiq, should work fine. As for how long it would take, for checks, it usually 9-10 days for me. If the business is registered with plastiq, then u might be able to send them payment within a few days. It is ACH to them rather than mailing a check to them.

I'm reading the fine print on the SW business card application and it says that this card shall be used only for business purposes and not personal, family or household purposes. Is that the case? For those of you who have gotten a business card have you used it only for "business?"

Just adding on to this . . . Best Buy sells Ticketmaster gift cards, so you can get BB rewards/Swagbucks + whatever other promos are going on at the time (Amex offers?). I bought most of mine at Kroger during the 4x promo. It was very easy to apply them on the Ticketmaster site.

Jealous of Hamilton! We couldn't get tickets. Evan Hansen was sold out too! :-(
Points with a crew wrote about the Hamilton presale that occurred on Friday. Ticketmaster had a lottery and my email was randomly selected to purchase tickets. I’m stoked that I was able to get them at face value.

We used a regular uber from MCO to Universal for 4 of us - 2 adults and 2 older teens. I was really worried when this tiny car pulled up, but we managed us 4 plus our 4 carryon roller bags. It was a little squeeze but we made it. Larger suitcases would not have fit.

We maxed our suitcases to the biggest airlines allowed (which I swear gets smaller each trip I take!)

I got almost all the way through the CIP app about 6 months ago when I read that statement and decided not to go through with it. I think everyone justifies it by saying everything is a "business" expense. Is your business out of the home? Then yes utilities are an expense. Do you make calls then yes your phone is an expense. Do you take "clients" out to eat? Then yes restaurants are an expense. Etc etc etc I think I have convinced myself it is OK. I plan on going through with the app very soon.

Looking at your stats...I think by July you will be beyond OK, lol. Don’t count the EX biz so you will have opened 2 cards in a YEAR! :)
