We booked with a TA and she put in a request for connecting rooms on top floor for us. We plan to go to the parks first thing in the morning can we go ahead and do online check in? I know our request are just that and not guaranteed but didn't know if better chance of getting the connecting rooms with the TA request than ours? Do we have to go to the check in to activate anything on our bands before going to the park if our room isn't ready? We will have the dining plan. Thanks for your help. I guess I am just worried because we will be at the park at 8 am and don't want to get there and have issues.

I would do online checkin but don’t put anything in the room request section. If your TA called it will already be noted and if you put anything there it could confuse things. You don’t have to go to the front desk to do anything to your magic bands. If there are issues they can resolve them at the park. It is unlikely you will have issues but Disney is notoriously glitchy and people sometimes have unexpected problems. Most of the time everything works like it is supposed to.

Our first time at Pop. We got free dining with 2 standard rooms. I am trying to get at least one preferred room for my parents. One showed up today, but when I had it online to upgrade it was quickly gone. If we end up with standard where are the best ones for closeness to bus and main building?

We had room 0435 in building 10 and I feel like it was about as close as you could get to the buses in a Standard room. It was such a quick walk and we enjoyed having that short of a walk at night.

Building 9, in the 80s section, is mostly standard rooms and many of them are pretty close to Classic Hall and to the bus stop (just a quick walk across the '90s parking lot!) I most recently stayed in a renovated room in the '90s building (building 8) and I didn't feel like it was a far walk at all.

When making your room requests, one of the typical options is "close to transportation" so be sure to put that as your top (or only) choice when making those requests! I've never felt that a preferred room at Pop is worth the additional charge per night... Pop's campus is pretty compact in the grand scheme of things!

We loved our room location in Building 4 of the 60's section (rooms 4450 & 51). The rooms were on the 4th floor with a lake view. They were near the center of the building so only a few steps from the stairs and elevators. It was a very quick walk from our room to the pool, food court and bus stops. It was a very quiet location as well. Ironically, when we stayed in those rooms they were considered a preferred room location and we got a free upgrade to that room category when we checked in (back in the days before online check-in). A year or 2 later they became standard rooms...and I think that's one of those "best kept secrets" about Pop -- that those lake view rooms are standard rooms and some of them are closer to the food court and bus stops than some of the preferred rooms are.

Our son and his wife were in a standard room in the 70's section and said it was a very quick walk to everything. I think any room in the 70's is going to be a good location.

We've also stayed in building 9 of the 80's (rooms 9450 & 51) and found that to be an ok location. It was a quick walk to the bus stops when we cut through the parking lot, but the walk to the food court felt long.

Our least favorite location -- by far -- was building 2 of the 50's section. That felt like a major hike to *everything* except the car (we drive to Disney but we use Disney transportation while we're there). Of course, that trip was the one immediately following the one where we were in the 60's building and had an awesome room location so that may have jaded our opinion. :D

We too stayed in building 10 and loved the location - felt it was close to the food court and to the buses (cut through the parking lot, not through main building). Our room faced the parking lot but the view was of a lot of trees, so we liked that too!

We also cute through the parking lot to get to the buses an it was a quick walk! Our room faced the trees and the rubix cubes.

Question: Are rooms closer to the parking lot noisy? Which buildings should I request for a renovated standard room? We will b staying at Pop for 1 night (or 2 the most) in late July. Thank you!

Hello!

Can someone please tell me if the beverage area at Pop is 24 hours? It’s been a couple trips since we have stayed here, I know All Star Sports has become 24 hours so I’m wondering if Pop has changed? I don’t think it has but doesn’t hurt to ask.

I tried searching and couldn’t find an answer, thanks!

We were right next to a parking lot and didn’t hear any noises from there. We liked building 10

I don't think it is since the food area is open right into Everything Pop. I have a picture from before the W&D half in 2016 in front of Everything Pop and the gate door was down and it's dark in the back.

Since the gift shop is open into the food court area, there would be no way to secure the gift shop if they allowed access to the beverages. Each time we returned late via bus we noticed it was dark in there.

Unless it changed from my memory, All Star Sports Food Court and Gift Shop are completely separate and not open to each other.

Ah yes.. I forgot about the gift shop being attached. Sports is separated.

Well that answers that, thanks for all the responses!

We also hoarded the bottles and I’m sure that’s why they got rid of them. I can’t stand the smell of the products now. That sea smell just doesn’t agree with me.

I agree we just got back from a stay at AoA over Easter week. My mom was like here get your soaps. I was like, no thanks. No way I'm using that stinky green mess at home. I was so disappointed. I purposely didn't bring my own. Maybe that's why they switched? Lol.

I have no idea but our 9 yo niece luckily brought her own to use because she said it was nasty lol.

What are you guy's experiences with getting passholder rates during free dining periods at Pop? My TA had a goof and we lost the Enchanted Room Discount. She is covering the difference, but I'd really like to find a passholder rate if possible.
