Had to get caught up again-took some time off for October trip...
those pearl carriages-sooo cool!! and yes-this definitely qualifies you as coolest aunt forever status!!
Ooooh I hope you had an awesome time!!
Thank you!! I hope so!
Ummm yeah there is a reason Space Mountain is in the dark. I no longer duck...but I also haven't ridden it in years. Waaaaay back in my CM days I once rode SM with the lights on for hours while the imagineers/maintenance were testing a new braking system. Did you know they (at least they used to) have a number CM's could call to be guinea pigs? 5 hours straight on SM and it is enough for a life time
I still ask how the brakes are around the second to last turn LOL! But Peoplemover is a ride I could spend hours on!!
LOL Wow 5 hours straight? You must know the track like the back of your hand.
I'd gladly stay on the PM for 5 hours!
Back in 2004 when we utilized rider swap-we were at Universal and a TM there hung with me while waiting for crowd to catch up at the Disaster ride (rider swap at uni has it ALL OVER disney)-he told me tons and tons of gossip (his wife worked on the morning walk through crew at The Great Movie Ride) for uni and Disney. Lets just say pranks are played, and the estates of people who are depicted in scenes are very very exacting in being... anatomically...correct in every way.
That is hilarious! CMs must have some great stories. I can imagine just having fun with my other CM friends after hours, LOL.
I am anxiously awaiting your dinner at 'Ohana post. We have not tried it yet, so I am looking forward to reading about your experience. I have reserved it for three years in a row but have ended up canceling two of those years. This is the third try, and I was determined to go through with it, but now I am debating keeping 'Ohana dinner after an AK day this time (Yak & Yeti would be lunch - we would order a light meal - salad or apps) or starting our AK day with an early lunch at Sanaa and then ending the AK day with Yak & Yeti. This would also be our last night, so I want it to be a good one. We prefer simple schedules and not crazy loud meals, so I'm leaning towards 'Ohana being a bad fit but on the other hand, DH would love all the meat and I'm craving a drink in a pineapple. Wish there was time for everything in one trip!
Here's my advice: GO TO OHANA. Forget all other meals. Eat light before, if anything. Thank me later.
Thanks so much for the pearl cage links. I am going to get the sterling silver ones for DD and I and give it to her either for Christmas or on our first Epcot day during our January trip.
Yay!! She will love it! The silver one is soooo pretty, I love mine! Maybe when my nieces are old enough to appreciate nicer jewelry instead of "tossing" it somewhere in the void of their rooms, I will get them the nicer pearl cages.
Love all the pics - as usual! Your family sounds like the most perfect travel group. I love that you all are completely fine with each other doing their own things at times but then coming together for meals and rides that you all enjoy.
Haha, they are pretty cool, but when you have 14 other people asking you what time is dinner, it can get a little taxing...I actually appreciated the times when I can do my own thing for a bit whether it be walking through the stores for a few minutes or just sitting with some coffee.
I felt like this several times on our trip... but I could never get away! Even if I headed for the bathroom someone had to come.
Haha yeah that was usually the case with us too!
Same here! No one else looks at anything. Did they all figure out how to get there? We had to tell people...
Luckily Chunkysis was with the twins so she could point them in the right direction and I think the twins sorta remembered where Toy Story was so at least I didn't get asked "Where's Toy Story?" Open a map people!
Thank you!! Hope to see you in two weeks! I just PM'ed you!
Pure bliss.
Indeed.
They didn't waste any time there.
Also can't wait for your O'hana post! We've gone several times and have
loved it, hope you had a great experience as well.
Haha nope those posters were up like the day after it closed!
Thanks...I think it's safe to say, we've never had a bad experience at 'Ohana...
Have a great time!! I will be in the World through 10/30 so if I see you, please excuse in advance my fan girl reaction.
OOOH that's cool! You are too sweet. We arrive on the 30th! We're heading to Epcot that afternoon then Ohana for dinner. If you're still around during the day let me know and we can meet up!
Love how seriously the hubs takes O'Hana. Clearly a pro!!
He has learned from experience. He refuses to eat anything before Ohana. Meanwhile I can munch on anything all day. It has not stopped me, but then again I can't polish off as much food as he can in one sitting.
Totally know what you mean about brief moments alone. Bliss! You have the patience of a saint to be coordinating for that big crew. Although they do seem pretty easy going and agreeable - not to mention photogenic!
Aww thanks! For the most part, they were all pretty cool with letting me "drive" and no one really had any adamant requests or anything like that. They were mostly there for the kids so the kids kinda dictated what we did most of the time
And yes my brief alone time was bliss!!
Have a great trip, sounds like a fun time! I love your sister's Tsum Tsum dress, she sure finds some cute ones!
Thank you!!
I need to read your update but I wanted to quickly say have a GREAT time on the cruise!!! If I don't remember to text you between now and Saturday when you leave I will most definitely text you before we get down there. Cannot wait to see you guys
YAY!! See you real soon!!! Text me when you arrive!!
What a great few weeks you have planned!
Thank you! I just PM'ed you with my number!
If I had such a large family and they were traveling with me I'm sure I'd feel the same way!
We all have our moments of bliss.
Kids say the darndest things!
Haha for sure!
When ToT became GotG, they were dismantling the ride before it officially closed.
It's all about the $$$ and getting things turned over as quickly as possible.
I can understand that. I have such a small appetite that I wouldn't eat all day so that I would be starving!
Haha I know what you mean, but I am the sort of person that needs to eat all the time, unlike Steve.
I'm with Sienna, it's a little creepy when a character who is supposed to be a preschooler is over 5 feet tall. . . LOL.
I get freaked out by Princess Sophia!!
I'll have to prep myself for your next update. I'll have to eat while I'm reading it since I always get so hungry with your food pictures. I'm looking forward to it, since I'll be headed to Ohana on my upcoming trip. It's definitely one of my most anticipated meals!
I hope you really enjoy it!! I'll see if I can get around to posting it tonight or tomorrow. That is when I'm not shoving things into a suitcase pretending to "pack"
I have to get this now. I have a Pearl from many visits back that I haven't done anything with.
Good idea!
Ww that sounds like a lot of great meets.
It is!! Love my DIS friends!
For sure.
