Most famous person from your High School

You must be from Canada! :rotfl2:

I was just coming here to say that my school was in a WHL town. Of COURSE I went to school with soon-to-be famous people. At least two of the players I went to school with went pro. Kelly Buchburger used to sit behind me in Grade 11 Algebra. He went on to play with the Oilers while 99 was still with the team and earned a Stanley Cup ring that year. (I think it was his first year??? I'm too lazy to fact-check it now.) Theoron Fleury was also on that team. He was a year behind me, but I used to see him when he was leaving chemistry class. He played with the Calgary Flames among others (like the NY Rangers and the Chicago Blackhawks). There could definitely have been other famous players, but those are the ones that I know of off of the top of my head. The guy who was principal at the time is now a current Member of Parliament. (Not sure if that is considered famous or not.)

It was a big (for our part of Canada) high school. I hope that lots of people went on to do great things!

My mom babysat Clark Gillies (New York Islanders) when he was young (obviously). We used to play Friday night pick-up softball at a hamlet (it was too small to be a town) near where we lived and one of the adults that used to come had played with the St. Louis Cardinals "back in the day."

I'm sure every Canadian has a hockey related story like that.

Yes I think he graduated from DHS in 90 and I had all ready left a couple years before.

Most Infamous was a guy who I went to DHS with, Juan Edwards, he ended up killing a girl who either was about to testify again his brother or had and the guy from Yorktown who showed Juan his Mercedes, both girl and guy from Yorktown found dead on Crawford Road.
DHS 93 .. small world

No one famous from my high school.

My friend went to high school with Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan) from Once Upon a Time as well as the creator of Glee.

Boyz 2 Men, at the High School For Creative and Performing Arts in Philly. They were a few years behind me so I didn't know them personally but they used to stand in the hall and harmonize.

I don't know of anyone famous from my high school, a small Catholic all-girls HS. The high school where my kids went has several professional athletes as alumni - Neil Walker of the Mets, Brandon Saad of the Blackhawks, and Meghan Klingenberg of the US women's soccer team. There was an astronaut several years before that, Stephen Frick, and a broadway producer Jeff Calhoun (not sure how famous he is but the school seems proud of him.)

Oops, almost forgot Jackie Evanko (at kids' high school also)

....Bruce Elia was a BIG-TIME high school football player

...who, after Ohio State, went on to play a couple of seasons with the San Fransisco 49ers.

....another famous person who attended our high school:

latest

...was Joe Pantoliano of Goonies, Risky Business, The Matrix, La Bamba, The Fugitive, and The Sopranos fame. Not surprisingly, he was president of the drama club, and basically starred in every school production. Oh, and BTW, he had some head of hair and was considered A BABE back-in-the-day.

I had to google as no one around my class was famous. Here's what I have, I know ... BIG TIME STARS!

I would've never recognized solely by his name, but I do know who the Gin Blossoms are. Their music hit it big when I was at ASU. They were our much loved home town band.

I never knew all these people went to my high school. These are just a few:

Francis Ford Coppola - director
David Baltimore - Noble prize winner
Amy Bloom - author
Andy Kaufman - comedian/actor
Kenneth Cole - designer
Sarah Hughes - Olympic gold medalist in skating
