2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: August 31, 2017 - November 13, 2017

What are some of the different wines that everyone is interested in trying?

These are on my Yes or Maybe list
Jam Jar Sweet Shiraz
Neige Premiere “Apple Ice Wine”, Québec
Banfi Rosa Regale (sparkling red)
RL Buller Fine Muscat
Redstone Meadery Black Raspberry Mead
Florida Orange Groves Mango Mama Wine
Florida Orange Groves Sparkling Pineapple Wine
Bunratty Meade Honey Wine
Meiomi Rosé
Caposaldo Peach Moscato Sweet Sparkling Wine
Coloudem Blue, Silver, or Rose Sparking Wine
Bleu Spectrum: Blanc de Bleu Cuvée Mousseux with Boba Pearls (added because it looked good in the blogs)

I mostly like the sweet stuff. I can't have too much Champagne, Red or White (mostly Red) though so I will probably just due some flights where I can I'm ok if they are small.

If you love sweet wines then you will love Jam Jar Sweet Shiraz

I am reading that the lines for the food and wine can be quite long. I was interested in snacking around the world in place of meals. Will this be a major time suck if I'm also wanting to visit World Showcase? How bad will it be?

@JerseyJanice disney food blog just sent an email with the best of the fest recommendations and they are saying the apple margarita has a jalapeño kick. Maybe you will like that one after all!

Awesome! I did plan on trying both margarita offerings. I loved the jalapeño so much. My sister-in-law is crazy for them.

When I read Spicy Apple, I imagined an apple-tini with Fireball in it so I wasn't too jazzed to try it, but jalapeño is a whole other ball of wax.

I just hope one or both of them are on the rocks.

It really depends on when you're in the park...

Weekends are nuts but weekdays...early in the day are, IMO, THE best time to go :)

As Tink10 said it depends on time of day and day of week. I've never stood in line for the booths longer than 10 min. and usually it's just a minute or two. I tend to get something and either stand at a table or sit at a bench and eat it or walk around while I'm eating, hop into a country and look around, rinse and repeat. I eat all my meals over a course of 5 or 6 days at F&W except breakfast.

FWIW...THE worst lines, to me, always seem to be in Canada, France & Hops & Barley, so Michelle06, if you intend to eat in either, get to them as early as you can.

Because we spend weekdays @ F&W, we've never had long waits, so early is better and don't be discouraged if a line looks long. They go fast. ;)

Kind of silly question: do the mini gift cards (with the wrist cord, not the lanyard/medallion/sleeve ones) ever sell out before the end of F&W? We're catching the very end of the festival in November.

Not silly at all!

We've been early, mid & late F&W and have not seen them sell out. :)

I can't imagine Disney ever turning away $$$

I hope this helps :)

We have this problem every time we go with getting the passports. We almost always go the last week of F&W and they never have any passports left. Hoping to get my parents to snag some for us when they go in October.

They usually still have plenty of Passports at the info booth in the Festival center through the end of the festival. You might have to ask for them but I've never seen them not have some available except maybe the last day or 2. Trying to get them at any of the booths the last week is another story. A lot of people never venture into the Festival Center if they aren't attending any events or deminars being held in there so it doesn't get as much traffic as you would think. A lot of people don't even know where it is.

If anyone wants a cookbook....They seem to sell out just about every year I've been

Phew! The gift cards+tags are too cute, plus they're functional souvenirs, so I don't want to miss out or find myself stalking them on eBay

...but this also means I don't *need* to book a last minute getaway for F&W :faint:

Thanks all :)

The photo I saw was definitely on the rocks! I wasn't thrilled about the apple choice but I think I will give it a shot. Maybe TOMORROW! :hyper:

First Timer here!! We are a multi-generational group of 14! Ages ranging from 4-68! One adult in a wheelchair, another adult with developmental disabilities. We have one day in Epcot while we are there, with half the group reluctant to go at all because they didn't enjoy that park a few years ago...As it stands we have an ADR for Spice Road table, truthfully I made that hoping just to break up the walking some, because that was one of their big complaints! Plan to do Remy's Scavenger Hunt for the kiddos! And I have a FP for Frozen for late in the day 4:30-5:30. (thinking we will start in WS btwn 11-12, and work around to Morocco for lunch, then work the rest of the way around doing Scavenger Hunt, checking out scenery, etc) The reluctant crew ARE NOT foodies, and do not try new things!?!

So questions: Should we keep the ADR, or would it be better to graze around the world...Are the characters still out and around WS throughout the day? Any advice for making their day more special, with DH and I still being able to try out some dishes and drinks!?! What are the DO NOT MISSes. It's only my 3rd time to epcot and once was over 20 years ago, so general EPCOT tips would be helpful too! Thanks

If your crew isn't into new flavors I would ditch Spice Road Table. You could always snack at the booths and if your crew isn't interested in trying those new dishes, you could send the more traditional eaters to the quick service in the America pavilion. We are also usually able to get a table in there fairly easily and we can sit for a while and rest. Also check out the Craft Beer booth inside the Odyssey - nice air conditioning! I would recommend the films as well, especially Impressions de France as nice ways to cool off and sit down. China and Canada don't have seats I don't think but still cool and quiet. Plus you can follow it up with an ice cream cone in France and that's usually universally loved! Hope you have a great time!
