Disney's BOARDWALK INN Information & Questions

Hey all. We are staying in a one bedroom villa. Would we be able to put a pack and play in the bathroom with the bath? Looking for a little private spot.

I'm trying to remember - I don't think there's a door for that area, if you want a door between the bedroom and the baby's area. The room with the shower has a door. There's a door between the living room and the bedroom/tub area.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

We were able to enjoy apps this evening. So yummy. Fish from Flying Fish and steak from Tratoria. Both wonderful. Soup was tomato basil and there was a basil pasta salad I could have eaten by the bucket.

Redgie s as wonderful as advertised. He gave us lots of pointers for our dinner at Flying Fish tomorrow night.

We came back from the parks to have a nice card left in the room welcoming us to our dinner there tomorrow. Nice and creepy at the same time. They always know where you are going and what you have planned

Really looking forward to the omelet and Bloody Mary bar tomorrow morning. Made sure we do not have early fast passes

We checked in on a Saturday and had the same appetizers - they were delicious. The omelettes were very good. Such a great place - I wish we were still there. Thanks for posting.

Absolutely wonderful pictures. Thank you for posting. Makes me want to go back sooner than next year.

You are so welcome. Me too - I miss it so much.
DisneyFansInNYC, I need a love button for your beautiful pictures :love:Thanks so much for posting :thanks:

You're welcome. I love looking at those pictures also. I would sit on the porch every morning and each night. So beautiful.

Just booked a rental through a DVC member here on the Dis for two bedroom, board
walk view for May 20-26!

Congratulations, @patty57, I'll log your dates in POST 1.

Hi folks! First post on these boards *ever* :wave2: after reading around the forums for maybe a couple of months and wanted to say hi.

I'll be checking in at BWI 9/4 with DH for six nights and it's our first time at a Disney-owned resort, so I'm pretty, pretty excited (on our Honeymoon and our 2nd Anniversary we stayed at the Swan). This is his 4th time at WDW and my 3rd (I grew up in the Los Angeles area and went to Disneyland once or twice a year when I was a child/teen).
It'll also be both of our first times doing Hoop Dee Doo Revue! And we're going to check out for the first time AKL, the FW area, and probably the WL area during our stay. And first time California Grill. Sadly, no MNSSHP; maybe next time. Stoked for Food & Wine! Epcot is our fave park! [insert Spaceship Earth emoji here]
I've read through (although perhaps not completely digested) this entire thread for information. Apologies for repeat questions! (Mostly I just wanted to say hi. Hi!)

1) I already submitted my TouringPlans room request (we paid for standard view and I was hoping for a 5th floor courtyard view, mostly with quiet as the priority). If I do online check-in in MDE now, will it mess up the fax? Or will it only mess up the TouringPlans fax info if I do online check-in *after* the fax goes through 5 days prior to the check-in date? Or maybe neither?
2) We're there for a week, and I'd like to order some simple necessities to be there when we get there (to save carry-on luggage room) - probably not refrigerated stuff; think water bottles, Quest bars. What's cheap and efficient to just order something like that to the resort? Amazon Prime is best maybe? (We have no car.)
3) Is walking to the gas station to get inexpensive snacks still a thing?

Thanks everyone! I love the Disboards! :ccat:

:welcome: @Miss Eglantine Price!

It's great that you came out of lurkdom and your very first post is here on our little thread. I'll add your trip to our BoardWalk Bulletin in POST 1.

Getting super-excited about our November stay! Getting closer to FP+ time. Please log in our dates: 10/31-11/4.

YIPPEE! Happy to log your dates, @sophie832.

Here are pictures of the Bloody Mary Bar from Sunday and of the Iced Coffee Area that was there each day. I love Iced Coffee - such a special treat.

Thank you for posting your great Inkeeper's Club photos, @DisneyFansInNYC. I'm going to add them to the CL chapter of the thread:)

This is for @nursemelis374 who asked about putting a pack & play near the tub. It's from DVCNews.com. It might be old, but I think it will help you visualize for your question.

It's kind of confusing. The right side is the kitchen and living room. The left side is the bedroom. So find the couch. Above the couch is a round table with two chairs. The dark line to the left of the couch and that table is the wall. See where the wall ends just above the round table? That's the doorway with the door. The door is the skinny black line. On the left, the big oval is the tub and the little oval is the sink. So while you may be able to fit a pack & play in front of the sink, there is no door blocking off that specific area. Maybe that doesn't matter to you if you put the baby down there and go hang out in the living room, because you could close the door near the round table. There is another sink in the shower area, so you could use the bathroom and wash your hands without having to disturb the baby. If, however, you want a door separating the baby from the bedroom, there wouldn't be one.

Where is the best place to change clothes on arrival day (assuming the room is not ready when you get there) or on departure day (if you have already checked out of your room)?

Ladies room near lobby?
Fitness center?

I would use the fitness center and store anything you need in the lockers.

Are there showers to use? We have a 9 pm flight home so just wondering if we could take a quick shower before leaving for the airport.

We are in a similar situation, only we want to put a single air mattress somewhere. I thought about the bathroom, the kitchen, or perhaps the entryway. Worst case scenario, it can go by the bed.

How did I not see this??? I love iced coffee, maybe I just thought it was decor? I'm so in love with the nespresso machine, I think I got tunnel vision in that little corner.

That is exactly what I thought. At first I thought it was for decor. It was across from the Nespresso machine. I too went straight to the Nespresso machine. :yay:

We just got back from a wonderful stay at the BWI. This was the views from the Club level deluxe room 4227. We had a boardwalk view and we were right above the Boardwalk Bakery. I could not get enough of this view. Truly breath-taking.

Wow! Great Pix! We're booked at the BWI 12/9-12/15/17. Finally booked the Deluxe room/Club level category. I requested room 4225 with Touring Plans..so I think that's right next to your room 4227. Great view! Did you find the balcony large enough for two to enjoy? I toyed with asking for a deluxe room on the 3rd floor, as those balconies are supposed to be HUUGGEEE.

The balcony is definitely not big at all but we sat two people just about everyday. Actually sometimes there would be 3 of us out there - with one of my kids sitting on the floor. As long as I could see that view - It didn't bother me. Here are some pictures of the balcony next door maybe you can get an idea how big they are. So our room was 4227 and the picture was of the room further from the lounge.
