Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Staying at the Yacht Club for the first time in November - so very excited!!! We will be arriving by car, can anyone tell me if it is easy to work out where we need to park and if it is easy to carry our suitcases etc from there? Thanks

It's been a few years since parking at BC/YC - but, we get to do it again in September!! The parking lot is easy to find. There should be guest check-in spots up towards the front of the lot, and then after finishing that process you will move your car to a regular parking spot.

As far as luggage is concerned - you can pull up to the front entrance and unload the luggage there before moving to a check-in spot or you can unload it at the check-in spot and bring it to the entrance yourself.

Minnie Vans have also been seen at Wilderness Lodge. I initially read that it was only being tested at BC/YC/BWI.

Any idea how long they are testing? We will be there next week

Great thanks - so if we want to use the check in spots and then regular parking is it sign posted do you know? Do we just head to regular parking and see the check in spots or do we head for the front entrance and see the check in spots?

Sorry hope that question was not too confusing - also understand if you can't remember, I would be grateful if you checked when you were there in September :)

Sorry, I'll have to pay attention in September and I can report back on the process of checking in with a car. I can't recall the details from years ago.

She said it was free whilst in testing. Hoping to ride it later, I will try and get more information then.

Oooh please do! :) This service has really piqued my interest. Me and DF used Uber a few times last trip but couldn't imagine paying $20 for an on-site-only service unless it had some Disney magic around it.

One of my favourite vloggers mentioned their first ever experience of Uber was amazing - they had someone pick them up that had a mini fridge full of bottled waters in back for them to have and take to stay hydrated. Then, on their return trip, they had someone pull up in a tricked-out ride who basically flew them back to the resort at a speed that would rival Mission Space. ( :offtopic: lol)

So I guess what I'm trying to say is that I hope they formalise this service a bit like the former example rather than risking the mixed bag you could get with Ubers.

It's nice that they've started this in our neck of the woods, too. I wonder if Disney have noted a larger proportion of guests taking Ubers from Yacht & Beach?

Does anyone know yet if that $20 is one way or round trip :confused3 I'm really hoping it is somehow round trip because $40 for both ways is a bit steep :rolleyes1

So exciting!! We stayed at BC last year, and YC should be the same. You can pull up to the front entrance and bell services will help you with your luggage. After that it is easy to work out where you will have to park as it is well marked.

We were planning on ubering to typhoon lagoon vs. the long bus ride. We'll have to see if the Minnie vans are a worthwhile option instead. We were planning on bussing back since we were going to stop at Disney springs and have dinner. Will be interesting how this service pans out.
