Has anyone decorated their Magic Bands? Please show us the pictures!

We leave next week for our trip and so far I have only gotten one of the bands completely painted. I had both of them, but the paint on the little mermaid one cracked and all fell off after I put a matte coat of nail polish on it. Could I please get good ideas on what to use to seal the bands that will last through the week? I used acrylic craft paints on them. Thanks in advance!

People have been saying that the leather paints have been working well.

I've used both acrylic sealer and nail polish. I tend to prefer the nail polish but either should work if the wearers can take some care with the bands. Concerning is that the acrylic is coming off though. I'd clean up the band initially before applying the acrylic and I have done a nail polish base on the acrylic paint to give else to adhere to.

For those that have used nail polish...

Do you do a clear base coat first? How about a peelable one?
I found a some cute glitter nail polish on Etsy that has Mickey ears already in it. But not certain about what to use for a top coat (as a sealer).
Has anyone found certain brands to work better than others? Do some crack more than others?
What do you do about the holes in the band? Do you just paint over them? Do you avoid them? I was thinking of using a toothpick after painting to clear the holes. Would that work?

I have only ever used nail polish on all my decorated bands. I always keep my eyes peeled for a good base coat to use, I've found it difficult to find just a "base" coat. The one that I've used most often is see through but is an orange tint. It has never made a difference in the final outcome, thus I keep using it. I usually put one coat of base coat, decorate however I plan, then "seal" it with the same base coat paint. I usually end up doing 2 or 3 top or sealer coats, as I often use tattoos and want them to be well covered. As for the holes, I just paint right over them and generally they don't get clogged with paint, if they do, I use a toothpick just like you mentioned. I hope that helps!

I do exactly what Tod&CopperFan posts below.

Leaving for Disney next Sunday! I haven't decorated my DH's band yet but I got mine done today. Inspired by It's a Small World.

I'm going to be decorating my band this weekend. Wish me luck! Will post pictures if all works out.

Just finished my DH's band! He requested Star Wars and he loves the quote by Admiral Ackbar -"It's a Trap!" So I flipped the RFID puck upside down and utilized the Mickey Symbol! Took me a good while to design the tiny, tiny icon versions of each character but I think it was well worth it. He LOVES it!!
