Canadian Buffoon's Hi Low Vacation - South Central Musings

Ok since I think the quiz is still open I'll hazard some guesses. I will come back to comment on Edmonton and Jasper.

1.
What time do we get up?

7:30 am

2. Do we go in a gift shop? Yes, you do.

3. We watch a movie.
In a theater? On the TV? On the iPad? On TV

4. Elk. We see more.
In town or out? In town - I recall our time in Jasper (that should read our - as in my family trip not our time). That's how rumours start!

5. Haven't asked this for a while.
Do I get asked for directions?
Of course I do.
How many times? 2

6. How do I get revenge
on that elk?

Next time you get to be in the car and beep your horn.

7. Are these chapters too long? No not at all.

Did you see it?
I hope not!
Because I didn't do one this round.

But... for bonus points.
How hard did you try to find
something anyway??? I didn't - I assumed the contest had closed. I usually read then go back to find if I haven't noticed them along the way.

Did I tell you that you were amazing? I'm amazed that you keep going with the TRs when you are so busy!

::yes:: Yup! Still open.
And standing by... :)

Well, ya done good this time!

Did I tell you that you were amazing? I'm amazed that you keep going with the TRs when you are so busy!

You know how I do it?

No. Really. Do you know?
If you find out, tell me.
I'd love to know.

Always go with your gut.

Except when you shouldn't.

Noted.

 Maybe I should've just posted:
"Did you see it?"

I've actually thought of doing that.
But I took pity on my readers.

I also forgot to mention how AMAZING you are (at giving bonus points)!

I let her pick her pastry,
and unfortunately she picked the Danish.

You see you need to present this differently. "Honey I had to search so hard to find you your favourite muffin!"

This, like most men feel, is my favourite activity.
I love wandering the mall.

I live for this.

I'm in your camp. Shopping is done when it's a necessity not a leisure activity.

I would occasionally just relax
outside the store
(Did you know that mall benches
are made just for these occasions?)
and people watch.

That's funny we joked about this when we visited the Chinook shopping centre in Calgary. They had sets of really comfy chairs set out in the middle of the bay all filled with men. We said it was a great idea to have a husband parking bay!

Yay another poker chip and another Harley Store visited. Our local Harley store has just moved to a new 18,000 sq. ft. premises. I've not been yet but my brother says it is really good even if it's not as handy as the old one.

We arrived in Jasper at ten after five in the afternoon.
Or is that early evening by then?
Bonus points for giving me your opinion.

Early evening for me even though I'm usually still at work.

How cute is that?
Quite cute!

Admit it.
You want to stay there, don't you.
Actually... I'm kinda curious.
Some of you are going
"aaaaawwwww!!!"
Some of you are recoiling in horror.

Let me know where you stand
and I'll toss you a few bonus points.

You see that depends. As long as things are in good repair. You see we had a bad experience in a place called Hill's Health Ranch in Canada where everything was in a really bad state of repair. They even had stitched up a rip in the bed covers. If it was clean and good repair I would like it. A wee bit disappointing that there wasn't a wood burning stove but you can't have everything!

I WALKED INTO A GIFT SHOP!!

Do you know I don't think this is the first time you've done this. You really need to learn.

Yes I remember how close the elks came in Jasper. I was taking Hannah's photo outside our hotel when this guy appeared.

Just snorted coffee out my nose.

First off.... sorry about that.
Can I get you a Kleenex?
Or a mop?

Secondly...

:welcome: to the TR!

eta: not really but it did make me laugh!

I'm just gonna say this.
You know... elephant in the room and all...
(And really... how cool would that be?!?!?!)

But starting off with blatant lies
about the state of your proboscis
is not a very good starting point
for a DIS friendship.

Just sayin'...

:rolleyes1

This is one of the funnest, funniest TRs going and the supporting actors shine as much as the principal star.

Actually, they shine much more brightly
than I do.
Without them, this place would be dullsville.

You see you need to present this differently. "Honey I had to search so hard to find you your favourite muffin!"

1. Dang! That's good!
2. I would be in sooooooooo much trouble if I'd married you.

I'm in your camp. Shopping is done when it's a necessity not a leisure activity.

It's also tactical.
Plot the route to and from the target,
acquire said target as efficiently
and quickly as possible.
Effect an egress at the earliest opportunity.

That's funny we joked about this when we visited the Chinook shopping centre in Calgary. They had sets of really comfy chairs set out in the middle of the bay all filled with men. We said it was a great idea to have a husband parking bay!

See???? I told you!

Yay another poker chip and another Harley Store visited. Our local Harley store has just moved to a new 18,000 sq. ft. premises. I've not been yet but my brother says it is really good even if it's not as handy as the old one.

Reason #783 for visiting Scotland.

Early evening for me even though I'm usually still at work.

You're in the majority.

Quite cute!

I know, right?!

You see that depends. As long as things are in good repair. You see we had a bad experience in a place called Hill's Health Ranch in Canada where everything was in a really bad state of repair. They even had stitched up a rip in the bed covers. If it was clean and good repair I would like it.

Ugh. That sounds.... Gross.
I'll pass on that one, thanks.

This place was very well maintained.
We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

A wee bit disappointing that there wasn't a wood burning stove but you can't have everything!

Funny thing was... they had wood piled up outside.
Not sure why, though!

Do you know I don't think this is the first time you've done this. You really need to learn.

And yet... I never do.

Yes I remember how close the elks came in Jasper. I was taking Hannah's photo outside our hotel when this guy appeared.

I love her smile.
It says. "Kinda cool to be this close... and kinda hoping he doesn't kill me."

First off.... sorry about that.
Can I get you a Kleenex?
Or a mop?

Secondly...

:welcome: to the TR!

I'm writin' here! I'm writin' here!!

Sorry @MarieLightning and @Steppesister ,
your TRs are just gonna hafta wait.

The natives are getting restless.

One even dug up a cold dead corpse of a TR
in desperation.

Yikes! :scared:

I'm so overdue to spend some quality time here and get caught up!
I admit, maybe every few days I pop on, scroll down to make sure all is well (no back injuries or dog surgeries, etc.)
Late answers to your questions:
Just out of curiosity,
define "early".

The earliest I need to clock in is 2:00AM, which happens often. Otherwise my 8 hour day is 4:00AM- 12:30

Oh! You got to meet Liesa!
That's nice.

And I thought you read her TR!!
We met and took a picture by Mission Space. This was just after her missing phone fiasco on Test Track.
It was VERY nice. The three of us (including hubby) had a nice little chat. I still regret not getting to the ditch.

I know I probably won't catch up in points but I felt bad I missed the last guesses and I don't want to be a "quitter"

First of all I thought your accommodations was quite cute. I think it looks very comfy and would be a nice place to get some relaxing time.
1. You get up at 7:45
2. Yes, you're getting in to this Gift Shop thing
3. Movie on the TV
4. There's another Elk in town
5. Asked directions twice
6. What's for dinner? Elk of course
7. Chapters can never be too long
Sure.... Just wanted to say "Ha Ha, Made you look!"

1. Sure. Why not. It's a trend.
What time do we get up?
7:30

2. Do we go in a gift shop?
of course

3. We watch a movie.
In a theater? On the TV? On the iPad?
iPad

4. Elk. We see more.
In town or out?
Out

5. Haven't asked this for a while.
Do I get asked for directions?
Of course I do.
How many times?
I'll narrow it down.
Less than five times.
twice

6. How do I get revenge
on that elk?
Elk for dinner

7. Are these chapters too long?
Never!

Your cabin was meh to me. Although after staying in Buhl Mansion in Sharon, Pa nothing will ever be better!

Amazingly horrid. Yup. That's about right.

Pu-lease, who do you think you're kidding? :confused3

You should just sense these things!!

I've always told people I need to be hit over the head with a sledgehammer. Subtlety is not my strong suit.

I've seen maps. California is nothing but coast.

Well except for the deserts, mountains, and interior valleys. With the exception of your day in Long Beach, how much

You're right. Rude, obnoxious and horrid.

I always forget that last one.

I know you like to project this online appearance but we all know you are a sweetheart at heart.

Mmmm.... no. In addition to.

Curioser and curiouser.

Pure alcohol freezes at -173F.
But beer freezes anywhere from 30F - 21F.
Wine, FYI, from 23F - 13F.

Leave it to you to give me the sheer facts.

Got those too.
Need something to feed the bears.

Our bears seem to live off of trash can remnants.

Not to me, you're not.

Awww you are so sweet!

I don't have the cash for that!

Well maybe you could have brought a wider selection or suggested the sharing thing. :confused3

Please do! :)

So have you booked your airfare yet? How often did you want me to remind you? I can be very annoying (if you want me to). ..

Ha! I'm all caught up!

Yes yoh are. It will take me a while to catch up since a few folks have posted updates!

Sorry @MarieLightning and @Steppesister ,
your TRs are just gonna hafta wait.

I feel honored that I made the cut on TRs that you visited!
