What food is on everyone's top 10 list that you just hate?

No turkey shall ever have to die in vain so that I might have another smoked turkey leg! Horrible things..... Oh and the awful little "carrot cake" in a plastic box that seemed to be the only desert at most of the CS places

Another one I thought of is the French Onion Soup at Chef's de France. It seems like so many people rave about it, but I wonder how many people who've had French Onion Soup in the real France? DH tasted it and was immediately disappointed because it had so much bread, so little onion by comparison. He's eaten French Onion soup in France and liked it there, but NOT here. However, perhaps different parts of France make it differently.

Adding in the gingerbread shingles from GF at Christmas. I'd rather have ACTUAL shingles than eat another one of those foul things. The only food item I've ever bought that went right in the trash after one bite...well two bites if DH's counts. He hated it too.

This. I tried both the gingerbread from the Grand and the gingerbread from the Contemporary this holiday season- both were different and repulsive in their own, unique ways

Agree with this...BoG French Onion soup tastes like salt water. Yuck.

We like Tusker House breakfast, but lunch/dinner is a big ole no from us. Completely unimpressed. Love Boma, though.

Any cupcake from anywhere. I've yet to have a cupcake at Disney that was better than you can make at home with a box of Duncan Hines cake mix and chocolate frosting from a can. Disney cupcakes are more overrated than stuffed crust pizza.

Via Napoli pizza. It's pretty good when it's good, but can be bad. Terribly inconsistent.

Quite honestly, most of the food at WDW isn't what it used to be. Maybe it's that they're trying to feed more mouths than ever there. Maybe it's that they're going with cheaper suppliers and lower quality foods. I don't know. All I know is that it's gotten easier and easier to make less and less TS reservations with every trip. At least with QS we're expecting to get average to subpar quality.

If I'm being truthful, we hated the food there, too. I don't say it very often because people love it so much. It just wasn't for us at all.

I agree 100000000000% !! Seriously worst food I have ever had. We go for breakfast every visit and its my favorite restaurant. Love the characters dressed in their safari clothes, love the motif, great staff and the best part....its the only breakfast I have during the trip where Im not rolling out of there completely stuffed, so its more comfortable walking the parks the following 6 - 8 hours. But this place takes the #1 prize for nastiness. That breakfast hash is like eating someones vomit after they eat sausage and jungle juice. Why is everything so sweet (in a bad way). Sweet eggs, sweet meats, sweet breads ickkkkkkk.

Why do people even order the FO soup when the delicious lobster bisque is right there?!

Not a particular food but I am so over all of the sweet stuff they sell. I'm not a dessert/chocolate fan or anything like that at all and when it comes to the salty/non sweet snacks..you're kinda limited which gets annoying.

It is truly bad. The main reason for this is that BOG's soup is vegetarian, i.e. no beef broth. That kills it for me. It has no flavor at all.

that's a restaurant and not a specific food, i know....so i'll also say the cream cheese pretzel. i got this once and was SO EXCITED because i love cream cheese AND pretzels and then i bit in and.....the cream cheese was sweetened and disgusting. nobody mentioned that it was meant to be a SWEET snack!! this would be so so so good with regular cream cheese as a savory treat, imo.
It says "sweet cream cheese pretzel" on the menus. However, I do agree that it was disgusting. Just tossed it in the trash. I should've eaten my 5 dollar bill instead.

In my 40-plus years I never thought I'd ever taste a nasty-looking turkey leg, but DD decided to try one and it was delicious. I'm pretty certain it's really ham, but tasty nonetheless.

Other than the zucchini fries, everything we've ever had at Tony's has been disgusting. We've had plenty of "meh" stuff but nothing else we'd refuse to eat again.

It's the smoking that does it. Smoke a pork chop and it will tend to gain a ham like flavor.

So your aversion to it is a little worse than ours! Glad to find someone else that wasn't impressed. It just wasn't for us. DH didn't care for the different spices...etc. I've purposely stayed away from the restaurants at AKL because I'm worried our reaction will be the same. And from the sound of this thread, we don't need to head there for zebra domes any time soon anyway. :)

oh and for the record, i absolutely agree with the turkey legs being gross. i didn't list it because i haven't eaten it...and i haven't eaten it because it looks like an absolute abomination.

Hm. That's funny. Lunching Pad says sweet. Actually I didn't like it because it wasn't sweet enough (not to mention the sawdust topping). The last one I had in Epcot (but not America, it was a cart near Nemo) a couple years ago was quite sweet and fabulous. Wonder if they're changing them over to be not as sweet and just have them stuck in dry-tasteless-pretzel-purgatory?? At least we all agree it's disgusting LOL
