***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Ordered more shirts from teepublic last night. :rolleyes1
I HAD to get DH the Gizmo Duck shirt I saw...it's his favorite character and there's never anything in the parks with him on it.
I also got us semi-matching Best Day Ever shirts (in different colors with the castle.)
Still have to order my SDFP MB's from Disney store online, and decide if I'm going to get the Vera mini-hipster. I really want to make sure whichever crossbody bag I bring is lightweight and the strap won't irritate me.

Oh, and yesterday I was at Walmart and moseyed over to the Christmas stuff. There was a woman looking in the same aisle as me, and at the same time we both noticed Mickey ear headbands with little Santa hats on them. We got to talking, and turns out she's going to Disney on Dec 9, and is saying at Pop! She told me I would love AoA, especially the Little Mermaid rooms. That made me feel a little better. :)
I need to stop shopping for this trip! But I'm soooooo tempted to go back to Teepublic :rolleyes1

I know this is a typo, but I could not keep from reading it literally and thinking "I wonder what kind of books she tips?"

I read somewhere $1/person/night. I actually didn't know about tipping housekeeping until researching this trip. Ooops.
I was wondering that too. LOL! As for tips, $1/person/night is an absolute bargain compared to a cruise ship (but then again, cruise ship tips are supposed to be for wait staff and bartenders as well as housekeeping).

On another frustrating note, for some reason I'm not getting any alerts for this thread. I have to manually check it :(

Speaking of shopping, I think I finally have my Etsy and Amazon orders figured out.

Here's the Etsy stuff. Omg, I just fell in love with the hot chocolate earrings and the ornament necklace made on a Scrabble letter (I'm a big word nerd too, lol)

I'm debating if I'll do the This Girl Runs on Coffee and Pixie Dust shirt too, or if I should save the $20. I do really like it though! Eek.

Amazon is easier, since it's the sling bag, which is a necessity, and one shirt. Christmas Vacation is one of my all time fave Christmas movies, lol

Ok experts.
Does anyone else bring breakfast food for the hotel? I have done the cereal cups before, but I don't think they are enough for my son anymore. We are flying, but with southwest so I have an entire suitcase to pack stuff in. Any suggestions?
Staying in POFQ, so no kitchen

We always do. You will have a fridge, correct? We stop at the Target on the way from the airport and get bagels/cream cheese, yogurt, fruit, nuts, oatmeal (take it to the dining hall for hot water or use the coffee pot), granola bars, muffins

I do this. You can bring granola/cereal/protein bars, durable fruit like bananas or apples. You can bring instant oatmeal pouches and use the coffee maker in the room to make hot water for them.

Has anyone used Amazon prime now to the resort? Is that even possible

Thank you for the suggestion, we are taking magical express from airport. Unless the bus wants to make a pit stop

You can also order from Garden Grocer but they have a $40 minimum (I believe). I was going to do an order but I am unsure. We are big fans of fresh fruit and veg and although I know the parks have them I'm debating just ordering and having them on hand vs running around trying to find a fruit stand.

Ahh, that would be funny though! We used Garden Grocer on our trip in April because our flight got in late. I was VERY happy with that.
We always rent a minivan from the airport because I hate being at the mercy of buses, lol!

We used GG for the first time this past April and I was very happy with them. I was nervous that the fruit they brought would be old/bruised/over ripe but it was just fine :)

Woohoo! I just got a Touring Plans alert for Cinderella's Royal Table and booked lunch for me and my DD on 12/5! I know it's crazy, but I can send my DH and DS back to the hotel for a nap and she and I can eat lunch in the castle. I can't believe how much I wanted to each lunch there. It will cost me a pretty penny because it'll be out of pocket, but I'm so excited!!!

Is this foolish? I know, wrong group to ask, right? We're already having dinner at Akershus for her birthday which I'm not cancelling. I guess for now I have this booked and I can always cancel it later.

I wish my DD would eat at the castle with me...I'm the only one interested...she's a Minnie Mouse girl through and through, so it's Minnie's Holiday Dine for us.....CRT sounds like FUN--do it!
