Got shot down again at a completely different Best Buy trying to buy GC with GC. I'm giving up and going straight to Disney through the BB website, ship-to-store with an add-on.

What's the best portal to use for BB these days that credits for GC purchases?

Just left my Target. No trouble using my gift cards to buy Disney gift cards, so I just unloaded them, just in case they cut that off. Also, I bought some Disney gift cards using my Red Card, and it still took off the 5%, so all hope is not lost

That sucks! I rolled $450 in bb gc to ebay gc in store yesterday but I'm in the St. Louis area. I also rolled $300 in Walgreens gc to ebay yesterday but I used two different Walgreens.

Does Sam's Club always have the Disney Cards on sale or should I jump on them while they are currently on sale? I would rather wait until the end of September to purchase but if the sale isn't likely to last then I better get them now.

My Sam's club always has the $150 pack ( 3 $50 cards) for about $142. I haven't looked but I know some people have bought $500 cards there for a similar 5% discount.

The $500 cards at Sam's are a slightly higher discount off than the $150s - but barely. I believe the $500s are online-only and the $150s in-store and online.

Be aware that Sam's took well over 2 weeks to ship the GCs to me.

I was actually coming here to ask a q about the Disney GC's at Sam's. DH and I saw them in our store this weekend. We were considering buying the $500 one for $475 for our December trip. However, can you use a GC for hotel bills instead of our credit card? Our hotel package will be paid in full before leaving, obviously. But we usually like to charge purchases and such to the room, and if we can use the Disney GC and save even a little bit of money that would be great.

Yes, you can use gift cards for purchases charged back to your room. Each hotel level has a threshold when they charge your credit card. I think it might be $500 (value), $1,000 (moderate) and $1,500 (deluxe) but I always forget the numbers so double check. Either way, I usually stop halfway through my trip to settle the current balance and again the last evening.

I have had ebates credit but it's not been consistent, 100% of the time. My online orders keep getting cancelled (for Disney) and ebay is not available for shipping or pick-up anymore for me. I have to go in to the store to churn with BB.

So the real question for me is then, will they refund my $1500 worth of Target gift cards since they altered their policy AFTER I had already bought the gift cards????

I have an open ticket with them now.

Yes they changed their policy, NO, I could not get cash back, but, I could use the Target GCs at any store. I went last night bought $500 worth.

There is no 5% discount when using a gift card in store. It just means you can still cash out target gc to Disney (people were concerned they'd be stuck with them). The extra 5% discount is dead now that online orders for gc cannot be paid for with target GC. You only get 5% off Disney gc when purchased with a target red card in store.

You can't do this anymore. You used to be able to do it online-only (never in-store), but Target has apparently changed their policy very recently to prevent online gift card purchases using Target gift cards as payment.

@Michael2013 - I have bought the $150 pack at Sams a couple of times, the price seems to sty the same, but sometimes they offer free shipping so you can go through a portal to get another 1% or so. The deal right now is if you have a Chase Freedom card, this quarter has 5% cash back on restaurants and club stores, so it made sense to pick some up this quarter to get about 9% off total.

Question for @JKalai - The last trade-in deal you posted was for GS -> BB. Does it ever work out to buy from BB and sell to GS? Or does BB usually give the most for trade-ins?

I've had luck (so far) with BB online when I also order a tack-on item like a micro-USB cable. Which cuts into my profits, but if I can make it back with portal rebates, I'm ok with it.

I've been a little behind in keeping up with this thread. I just want to make sure that I'm current on all of the changes. Could someone confirm or clarify the following for me?

• BB- can no longer buy a GC with a BB GC? Regional or new company policy?
• Target - 5% off with REDCard payment still working both online and in-store. Can no longer pay for any GCs (physical nor electronic) with a Target GC online. Still works in the stores.
• GS - dead. No GC purchases with a GC
• Walgreen's - regional? Can still purchase a GC with a GC?
• Fuel Perks - Can still get fuel perks with GC purchases
• Sam's - Is it still possible to use Walmart GCs to buy Disney GCs there?
• eBay - PPDG is not being as wonky as in the past? There's a new limit on GCs - is that on the amount of ebay GCs you can spend or on the amount of GCs you can purchase?
