Is 3rd floor Fiji a good building, facing the GF? I know the Luau is over there but ends around 10 and we haven't the children.

Checking in tomorrow....

Right behind you! We are currently enroute from Ontario as of 3 am this morning. Approaching Lexington, Kentucky now. My brother checked in two days ago and asked where our room was located. We are assigned adjoining room in Fiji, third floor marina view! :yay: Our room is 3316. I'm like a kid at Christmas waiting for her parents' okay to starting opening presents! 2 weeks at the Poly !!!!!! Soooooo excited!!!!!!!!! party:

Have a great trip! Did you end up not requesting Samoa?

I did. But I snuck a second request in there in my Touring Plans fax notes. My brother arrived a few days ago. I imagine if we both couldn't be put together in Samoa, they assigned us adjoining rooms in Fiji. I'm happy happy happy with Fiji, as I had deliberated long and hard about which one I wanted to be in. I am not the least bit disappointed! :flower1:

I had 2 nights booked with Lagoon view (DVC) and 1 night standard for my stay this September. When my waitlist came through they automatically connected the two separate reservations under one - not sure if that is because it was a DVC waitlist or in general but I think you can just call and have them link the two and you should be okay.....

Which one did you have waitlisted?
Our first part (5 nights) is through DVC rental points and it's for a standard view studio room, then I would book a standard view villa (studio) through Disney for the remaining 2 nights.

The Oasis pool should open well before the Lava pool. The Oasis is an unguarded pool versus the themed Lava pool which has the slide. Presently, the hours for the Oasis opening is 7:00 a.m.--I know that changes seasonally and since it has not been open that long, it is hard to know what the hours will be at the various seasons.

Thanks for the info!
I'd be delighted with a 7am opening for the Oasis pool; even 8am would be fine. I was getting concerned that we could be looking at a 10am open in October so you've really reassured me :)

Make sure you post some pics of your room view :)

I am going absolutely stir crazy! Jonesing hard for Disney and literally nothing to do. Trip is 24 days away...too soon to pack (without looking like a lunatic, though our "Disney Box", which is our version of an Owner's Locker, is always packed and ready to go). Nothing to do but stare at the clock, that I swear is ticking backwards, and try to watch our favorite vlogs. Our magic bands should be here any day, I've already started a thread about the wackiness of how they are shipped. HELP! What do I DO????
Not too soon to pack, I'm packed and will probably unpack and repack 3 times before we go, We arrive Sept 11.... :o

I posted on another thread, but didn't get a response. Can someone tell me about the Mickey tye-dying that happens at the Poly? Thanks!

I'm curious where this is held at the Poly?

We did this at Caribbean Beach Resort. It's an extra fee. Basically the cast members have all the supplies and directions and help you make a tie dye mickey shirt. They wrap it up with instructions and you wash it out, dry it etc when you return home. Children, teens, adults....all ages participated when we did it this past spring.

We are checking into a Poly Studio Villa Standard for the first time in 26 days! Was a pretty last minute trip, because I found a great deal and begged DH, lol, and we can't wait to try it out!!!!! We are driving in, and only have 4 park days (3 nights at the poly). I tried after the fact to add a day on the front end to the reservation and wasn't able to, so I booked one night at the Beach Club. I'm ok with that (now), because we will be arriving early morning and won't have go in the parks that day, so the kids can play at Stormalong Bay Monday, then move to Poly for the remainder of the week!

Just trying to figure out which longhouse to request (if any).

With 3 kids (4, 7, 9), and limited time, room priority is probably easy access to monorail/transportation. But for those of you that have been there...is there REALLY that much different in walking distance since they are all adjacent anyway? I'm at a loss as which to request.

We really can't wait. We took the kids to Disneyland last year just to switch it up....but really missed the familiarity of Disney World. Glad we experienced the original, but it just wasn't comparable for us and we can't wait to get back to Florida next month. We've never stayed at the Poly!

Have a standard room booked at the Poly. Are there any bad views? Just want to know before I arrive. Thanks

Any suggestions on theme park view buildings? From the touring plan site it looks like our only options are Tuvalu and Aotearoa. But from the way Aotearoa is situated it doesn't look like there is too much of a theme park view...what's the best call here?

The pool activities people just told me they do it on Fridays on the pool deck near the marina side.
