Right? I've had FD three of my last four trips and it's a lot of food. I mean, I don't tend to order dessert at lunch and dinner every day. Ha! I was able to get fruit a few times as a substitute, but I can't imagine paying for the dining plan would ever make sense for me (partly because I mostly eat a vegan diet, which tends to be a bit cheaper at Disney).

We did DxDDP earlier this month and actually lost weight compared to paying OOP for quick service!! Ate a lot more fresh and healthy food like fish, and, the portions are smaller at 2 Credit places

Nice! DxDDP is way outside of what I can do budget-wise, but hitting up a lot of the two-credit places for meals sounds pretty divine. I've loved pretty much all of the ones I've gone to so far.

We got free dining and had vouchers to spend at our TA so added the Dx on, had so many credits left we paid for our friends dinner too

So I'm booking ADRs for a friend that has to work an all night shift tonight. Her window opens tomorrow for the 21-27. I haven't kept up on the November board because we are going in September. We got our ADRs easily this year. How hard is November this year? I know I had a terrible time last November.

It's been OK. I had the first day of free dining and mostly got everything I wanted, but BOG was booked solid for about 183 days out last time I was able to check. When I got on, I was able to get a PPO breakfast, but the only dinner available was one at 9pm 184 days out. I didn't book it because the terms & conditions said that the characters aren't available during that time.

Only a couple days from our ADR date... still no park hours for Dec, which is stressing me out! Not the end of the world, but with so many unknowns, it would at least be nice to see those!

We are booked for Nov 26-Dec 3. Squee!!

If anyone has any thoughts on why the webpage shows Narcoossee's having zero availability for Thanksgiving (the entire day), please let me know! I plan to call in a few hours for definite clarification and maybe some pixie dust

Good morning! I've read a number of reports here the last few days of many restaurants showing zero availability for Thanksgiving, and not the really popular restaurants that book up the quickest. I don't know if it's that they haven't been loaded yet, which would be weird, or if it's just the stupid glitchy system Calling soon is a good idea; if you have time come back and let us know if that worked. I have to book Thanksgiving tomorrow so if you find out it IS the system and you can get what you want by calling, I'll know I can try the same thing if needed

Well I can tell you just from doing a general search in the last few minutes that there are 29 restaurants that are a part of Thanksgiving Feast dinner...they don't accept dining credits and have very limited availability. Narcoossee's is one of them, so I'm texting my mom currently and we are scrambling to figure out what we want to do. It's irritating for us since we are paying for the dining plan and then are given restrictions on when we can use it...at this rate maybe we would be better off paying OOP (this is just me being mad that things aren't going my way, of course we are sticking to the DDP).

Huh! Where did you find all that? If restaurants that normally accept the DDP are offering a Thanksgiving meal they should take the plan that day also-strange that they wouldn't. I know TiW is blacked out on Thanksgiving but never heard of the DDP being blacked out........ last year there were roughly 50 TS restaurants with some kind of Thanksgiving offering so I expect more to be added. Of course that doesn't help now lol!

I have cape may booked for Thanksgiving and it showed "dining plan not accepted" in the left hand corner...so I don't know. It confused me too...I mean I can understand if it is in part due to the free dining that they are offering during Thanksgiving so it's a way to get some money back in their pockets...but what about those of us who don't have that option since they are vacation club members? We don't get free dining, so we pay OOP, then have to pay additional just because it's a special thanksgiving day "feast"...I feel that is not even close to being fair.

OK...hold, scratch that...maybe because my eyes were barely open at 5:45am that I didn't read the "select" part of the not accepted statement...hahaha! I will still call then and verify, as well as find out if we are getting charged additional credits in this instance for the feast. Oh boy...sorry for that little hiccup

We will be there Nov.19th-Nov.26th made our dining reservations this morning.Will be celebrating husbands birthday,sons birthday and Thanksgiving.Myself ,husband,youngest son who will turn 13 while we are there and our youngest daughter 11.We will be staying at all star sports.

Funny, we're going 18-26 and my daughter will be turning 13 (11/21) when we're there. I'll also be celebrating my birthday that week too!

Hello November Disney Travelers!! I'm heading to WDW from 11/12/16-11/19/16 with my parents, brother and nephew(6). I think the week is a little more busy than i expected based on ADRs. We're doing a few new things on this trip mostly involving eating LOL: Going to Food & Wine in Epcot, Sci-Fi for lunch, H&V with Minnie Seasonal (i'm looking forward to that one!) and HDDR. We're also doing the Christmas Party - I just did some research on that and now i'm super excited for this party. I'm hoping my nephew will try out some new rides, he was a bit timid last time. He did say he MIGHT try 7dmt, but at least he does my favorite ride Splash Mountain. And my Dad and I are doing the Wild Africa Trek again, though i haven't booked this yet. So much to look forward to. The only things I didn't get that i wanted to was BOG dinner, but I did get lunch and I wanted to try and do H&V with Minnie as a Fantasmic package, but at least I'm going. Looking forward to discussing our trips here!

What day were you hoping to get the Minnie Fantasmic package on your trip? I have it for 11/16 for 6 people and have been thinking about cancelling because it's pretty early for dinner, and we have lunch booked at Akershus.

Thanks for considering! I was looking for thursday so 11/17 - there was one available when i looked, but it was at like 3:30ish and we were doing lunch at sci-fi too and just seemed early so i just kept my later non fastasmic reservation.

Understood! We're in the same boat. I got the Minnie's Dine + Fantasmic for ~4:30pm, but I got a regular reservation for Minnie's Dine at 5:55pm. I think I'm going to cancel the Fantasmic one because of the timing. We're going to get to DS around 3pm (park hopping from Epcot). So if we want to see shows like Beauty & the Beast, that early dinner reservation will really mess us up. I feel like I'm choosing between Fantasmic and other shows, and it's hard! But my son loves Beauty & the Beast, so I think I'm going to dump the Fantasmic dining ADR...
