This is absolutely untrue. Since the 1st of the year, I've bought over $5000 from PPDG and used an Ebay GC every time (including $400 yesterday). The problem comes from the volume of digital gift's you are attempting to buy, not the payment method. I do believe that they told you that though. It seems like they will say anything to get you off the phone. That, and at Paypal the right hand doesn't know what the left hand's doing.

When you say volume-I don't know if that's true either. I bought 2-$100 GS cards and on my next attempt, the following day, to try and buy $100 GS I was locked out (during last ebucks). Yesterday I couldn't even buy a $25 Ghiradelli card.

I had purchased Disney GCs at target.com a few months ago using some target GCs we had received as gifts and received 5% off. Today I went to purchase more and they are out of stock. Are you able to purchase Disney GCs in target stores using target GCs and still get the 5% off? I read a few recent pages on here where people were having issues with ebucks, but I'm not sure what that is?

Did you have to call or did it unlock overtime?

I called around 7:30/8:00 and was told by the rep that he had unlocked me. When I told him I was still unable to purchase, he said it must be something different (a separate fraud alert). He basically said there was nothing else he could do and that I should wait a day or two and see if it resolves itself. I was pleasantly surprised that it actually did resolve itself after a few hours.

It appears there is no longer any way (in-store or online) to get 5% off when paying for gift cards with Target gift cards.

By volume I meant large amounts as well as multiple attempts at smaller amounts within a short time frame. And again, this is from my own experiences coupled with various bits of info received from different Paypal reps and pieced together. But at the end of the day, inconsistency seems to be their mantra.

I don't think you can buy eBay with eBay any more (just recently changed). Let us know if it works.

I had read quite a few pages and saw that you couldn't purchase GCs at target.com with GCs. That's why I was originally asking about the stores. It seemed as of yesterday people were posting about being able to purchase GCs in stores using GCs at the self checkout. Thank you for spelling it out for me though.

Well, yesterday was so interesting... I cashed out some gc's for some other brand gc's I needed anyway,plus a few targets.... we shall see what happens in the future, but it's interesting! This thread is so long,and moves so fast! oh, and even if I stopped right now,I saved $911.00 from December- April - unbelievable fun!(I haven't stopped,FWIW)

FWIW, I discovered that Disney gift cards are now available for store pickup at BestBuy.com. My local store will let you pay for GC with GC, but in case your doesn't, this may be a good way to go.

I was also at my local BB, no EBay gc's to be found but they carry loadable Disney gc's, up to $500!

People were posting yesterday that their orders were getting canceled on BestBuy .com when they paid with a GC. But it might be worth a try if you don't mind getting stuck with BB GCs if it doesn't work.

Yep - that happened to me. But I was easily able to go into the store and buy a gc with a gc. Too bad obtaining a BB gift card is such a fiasco. Don't think I'll be messing with PPDG again.

Where did anyone say you can't buy gift cards with gift cards online? You can still do that. You just don't get the 5% RED card discount anymore.

I don't think you can buy eBay with eBay any more (just recently changed). Let us know if it works.

I tried it and was not able to.

I haven't had any problems with PPDG, very rarely used them. I had ebay gc 'sitting around', so I thought I would try the $100 for $95 ebay gc. No go with a gift card for a gift card. However Paypal was glitch-y for me just trying to log in. So who knows.
