Disney Gift Card Deals

Definitely was a letdown. Hoping gift card granny has them for higher rate soon!! Wondering if they are low now because everyone is doing the eBay deals? ?!!

So I'm guessing the terms and conditions of the 20% off coupon won't be revealed until the actual coupon is released?

Overall, Target's Black Friday ad was a letdown in my opinion.

I honestly cannot remember when we knew the details of the coupon. Maybe someone else will remember and post.

Yeah, I was not too impressed with Target's ad either. The last few years I really feel most of the best deals are offered in late Oct/early Nov. I've just not seen much on BF that wows me.

OP - like I said before, I actually had to PURCHASE a target GC using my other target GCs in order to "combine them". I had to do that because Target online limits how many GCs you can use for a purchase (I think 4?). When I purchased the target GC I had the card# emailed to me. It came within an hour. Then I was able to use THAT GC# to purchase my Disney GCs. An extra step, but worth it in the long run!!

This is what I ended up doing since I could not get my gift cards to combine. Thanks!

Does anyone know if you can purchase Target gift cards with a Staples Gift Card? I got an e-mail showing a $200 Staples e-card for $170 on ebay.

You could buy Ebay gift cards at Staples, and then convert those to Target gc's. But you might not be able to purchase a gift card with a gift card at Staples.

If you have an Amex, I just read where there is an Amex offer today - Spend $100, get $20 back at Staples. That would be a better deal. Bummer that I don't have that offer on any of my cards.

Fine print from the black friday flyer re: 20% off coupon:

"Your $75 purchase must be made in a single transaction in stores on 11/27/15 between 12:01 am local time and store close, or online 11/27/15 starting at midnight PST until 11:59 am PST.

Qualifying online guests will receive coupon via email on 11/26/15. Target reserves the right to cancel coupon if the online order is cancelled. The $75 qualifier will be calculated after other discounts. Prescriptions, optical, clinic purchases, tax and shipping and handling fees do not count towards the $75 qualifier. Limit one 20% off coupon per guest to be used in a single transaction."

I did see in the fine print that you cannot purchase other gift cards with a Staples Gift Card.

I don't see anything about gift/entertainment cards being excluded! Fingers crossed!

Do you think there is any chance Target will update/add to their BF ad? I vaguely remember last year someone's BF ad was really boring and there were alot of complaints and then more was added to it in the following days. I want to say it was Kohls?

I seriously don't know how you guys remember dates of sales, when ads came out, etc. But I like it :thumbsup2

Much easier way to do it: Use your phone, go to the Target mobile website and select mobile gift card. You'll set-up a phone only account using your phone number and a PIN. You enter one gift card. After it is upload, hit "combine" and add the rest of your cards on the combine page. When you're done you'll have all the cards added to the first card. You can use the hard card in the store, its bar code on your phone, or use the numbers at the Target website. I was able to combine $500 easily the other day, all in $5-$10 increments.

On a related note, its probably been posted here before, but I use a similar system to avoid the hassle of paying for your Disney trip in gift cards $50 at a time. Create a Disney Vacation Account. It's free and you get a $20 gift card for every $1000 you withdraw. Last year I paid for 3 cruises, all in $50 gift cards. I just uploaded the cards at the website, then used the DVA to pay for the cruises. I avoided my TAs daily 10 gift card limit and paid for it all at once, got $60 back from Disney, and had any refunds from the cruise go to my DVA instead of back to individual cards. They have a $100 reward limit per account, so I set-up a new account when I got close. You can even add the DVA gift cards to your DVA account!

Are you saying you only get up to $100 from DVA in rewards for the spend $1000 get $20? Because that's not accurate, it's $500.

I've received more than $100 in bonus gift cards from my purchases with the DVA. This is from their website as well.

You'll be eligible for a $20 Disney Gift Card for every $1000 you spend on qualified vacation purchases with your Disney Vacation Account prior to December 31, 2017 (date subject to extension), up to a total $500 in Disney Gift Card(s) per household.

There's no $100 reward limit, I just got $180 on a single card, single trip.

Staples doesn't usually allow the purchase of third-party gift cards with their gift card

This method is not working for several of us which is why some of us are having to just buy a bigger Target gift card with our smaller ones. I wish the combine thing worked for me.

Their system allows it, but their policy does not. The chances of finding a cashier that doesn't notice is dwindling.

I haven't been able to get the mobile app to work for me either. Instead, I was able to combine 16 $50 gift cards into one $800 gift card last night in the Target store. I just went up to guest services and they did it easily for me. I go to Target at least once a week, so it was no big deal for me to get it done there.

So, I guess the mobile app was updated recently and it no longer combines gift cards - just shows you your gift cards and bar codes and lets you add gift cards. However, if you go to your phone's Internet browser and go to target (which takes you to target mobile site) and then click on the top left button that's 3 little lines and click on my mobile gift cards - this will take you to the screen we all were use to seeing in the app. Then you can log-in with your mobile number and pin and add / combine gift cards.

I think others have mentioned this but maybe it wasn't clear since we all just use to go through the app, so I'm hoping this helps people with combining.
