October 2014

Just finalized all of our trip details! It will be my mom and I with my husband joining us at the beginning and end of the trip. We have had a very sad few years as a family and we are making up for it big time!! 7 weeks at WDW! Going from October 7 2014 to November 21 2014! Celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary, my mom's birthday and her continued fight against scleroderma and my birthday! 5 nights Beach Club club level, 1 night at the Dolphin, 9 nights Port Orleans Riverside, 6 nights Animal Kingdom Lodge Club level, 7 nights Grand Floridian Royal Palm Club and finishing up with 17 nights at Boardwalk Inn. We've saved our butts off to do this and it will be worth every penny!

Amazing!

We will all need a trip report from this trip. :thumbsup2

Sounds like you deserve every day of those seven weeks and then some! Have a wonderful trip.:goodvibes

72 days!

So exciting! We are looking forward to our trip! This year we are purchasing park hoppers to make the most of each day. The last few trips we purchased tickets for 1 park per day, really missed the hopper. Especially staying at BCV and BLT! The other part of our stay is at AKV!!! :cool1:

Newbie here (to the boards, not to Disney). My first solo trip is booked for October 16-20!
My birthday is the following week, so it'll be a little present to myself. Haven't been to the parks in the fall since I was a kid, so seeing the Halloween decorations is one of the things I'm most excited about. I'm staying at All-Star Sports this time around. Saving money for Food and Wine ;)

How'd everyone do with their FastPass+ reservations? This was my first time using the system, and it was a bit overwhelming at first but all went smoothly.

My FP+ window opens Friday night for our Halloween trip! How hard was it to get the times you wanted?

I couldn't get Seven Dwarfs ride any earlier than about 4:30pm on our arrival day. And I couldn't get any early times for Seven Dwarfs on our third day, so we aren't getting a fp for it that day. But everything else was fine. I wasn't trying for any Meet and Greets, parades or fireworks.

I had no problems reserving my FP+. The 'default' times were terrible, but I didn't have any problems going back into the reservations and changing them to times I wanted.

I didn't have any problems either. I have changed around times quite often already. Including for 7DMT. Way too many times in fact. It's like an addiction!

I'm wondering if the CMs still make a big deal if you are wearing birthday button. We were there Jan 2012 & I was wearing my birthday button and got lots of attention. This trip we are celebrating granddaughters' birthdays and hoping the will get LOTS of attention too. They are kind of expecting it

As the title states, I'm new to the DISboards, but I have been a lifelong Disney fan. However, this will be my first trip as an adult to Disneyworld. I am taking three of my four children (17, 6, and 1) along with my husband from 10/26/14 until 11/1/14. We are staying at POFQ. I am SO excited. On June first of this year, I decided that's it... it's time for my kids to savor the magic that is Disney. Plus, it's Disney, I will have a blast too. I worked three jobs this summer to make it happen. I look forward to reading all the hints and tips from everyone as to what I should bring etc. Sadly, I missed out on signing us up for Cinderellas royal table and such. All booked out. Has anyone ever done the bippity boppity boutique with their girls? I'm tempted to have my six year old get glammed up for Mickey's not so scary Halloween party. Are the costumes/dresses worth it? She wants to be Tiana, badly. Also, first haircut for the babelet, are they good with shy toddlers?

Thanks for any input in advance!
