So those of you finding the good fares, are these directly through the airline? I find cheap ($600) through kayak/airfare.com, but much more expensive through the airline.

Got my good fares from Kayak and from FlyEurope1800. Flights from Orlando to Manchester in UK. All less than £300 per person.

Also booked one flight from IcelandAir from Boston to Manchester - really cheap ( less than £250 )

Thanks for suggestions for air fare. Regardless how we book we have to arrive day of cruise. In 2010 we did same and although not our preference it's what we have to do. In 2010 our flight was late arriving (got to port at 11:30 instead of 8:30 am). We didn't feel we were safe with time to see Barcelona. This time we hope we arrive first thing in morning.

Is it possible to check luggage, get our KTTW cards, get off ship and "easily" take taxi to sagrada and or las ramblas?

On a totally different note...who do I contact for Facebook group? Thank you!!!

How is everyone doing on booking their airfare? We have a one way booked for our return from San Juan back to Newark, NJ on the 21st - ( we will be staying 1 night in PR after the cruise.) We got those tickets for $200 each. Not the BEST bargain - but not too bad.

Our outbound to BCN is another story - trying to get a non-stop from JFK or EWR to BCN on Sept 3rd in the evening - but prices for 1 ways are $3000 per ticket -when booking with the airline!!!!!!

I am seeing some tickets for $550 - $700 per person for that flight - but it would mean booking through webjet . com and airfare . com

Does anyone have any experience with them? or do you have any suggestions????

Thanks,
Sherri

Hi Sherri,

Saw your question and looked at the site Momondo.com
There are flight around $ 500-600 pp.
But you have to book with an agency. Direct with the airlines is very expensive.
I saw several you can do without problems. But I think you have to do with a change. I don't see direct flights.
We used Exploretrip for our way back in 2011. And Expedia for our hotels and flights in 2012 and 2013.
Try also the ones the others already mentioned. And click always on select to see what the real price will be.

We are searching for our flight home.
I think we go back on the same day we arrive in San Juan. The flight with Condor is the cheapest one and goes direct to Frankfurt and then we can go by train to Arnhem. And the only fly on saterday. I wish the fly on sunday or monday so we could spent one/two days on Porto Rico.
And I don't book it with Condor, but also with a agency, because it is much cheaper. Only had to find which one it would be.

Does anyone have experience with 1800 Fly Europe? I'm finding a fabulous price to London from Baltimore, going there a couple days pre cruise, and I'm wondering if it's too good to be true. I checked British Airways and they do indeed have a flight leaving at that exact time, but it's about $1000 more direct from BA.

they are great, have used them twice now and never had any problems :)

I have booked with them for the WBTA ... some great prices. I was a bit worried as they seem to good to be true. But I booked them in the end. :thumbsup2

Hi Dena! We were living in Okinawa before moving to Florida (18 years ago! :scared: ). We absolutely loved it there!

That's funny, we lived in Florida for 18 years before moving to Okinawa!!! We love it here too. Where in Florida do you live? Where in Okinawa did you live?

We had the same issue. I wanted to stay in Puerto Rico for a few days longer too, but couldn't find a hotel that was cheap enough to convince hubby ;) So we booked exactly that Condor flight on Sat 20th back to FRA. We booked directly with Condor for €339.99 pp. We couldn't get a cheaper rate, even through travel agency. They said to us, that the price on the Condor website was some sort of offer, they can't beat.

As with several others, that have mentioned, we had great luck with Air Lingus out of Chicago, thru Dublin and Barcelona for only $672 a person.

I just booked DH and I on the TA this morning! At the beginning of my call, there was only one inside stateroom left, the middle of the call it was booked and the cruise was sold out, by the end of the call, there was a cancelation for a Deluxe Oceanview. It was meant to be!

208 days and counting!

Very cool! :cool1:

I book our cruise this morning and what's the first thing I do? Check the Dis-Boards to find the group for this sailing. I see a vacation planning obsession in my future.

There are so many posts to read through, I should be good through the end of the week, eh?

We would love to be added to the roll call.

We don't have our stateroom number yet, but sailing is Erinn (me) and Bill from the Madison, WI area.

I would love to sign up for the drink tasting groups, mixology etc, but don't have enough posts to pm the organizers.

Welcome aboard. all i did to boost my post was send 10 posts each counting down to when I could pm people. ( " 10 posts until I can pm", 9 posts etc...)

Pam - a few people used 1800 Fly Europe for the WBTA 2011 with good results and I have seen on this blog that some people have used them this time too so I wouldn't have any hesitation if the prices are so good.

Good luck with your booking and see you soon.....

We're in the Orlando area now. We were in base housing a couple doors down from the Butler Officers' Club on Camp Foster while we were in Okinawa.
