No one really knows how Disney determines who receives these pin codes. There are sent either by email or by snail mail by Disney Destinations. Many people have never gotten one, including me.

So when I called a short time ago the rep told me that pins are attached to addresses? Is that correct, only addresses? or do I search everyone's name?

I have been told that, yet I have had other cms ask me if there is any other name they can check. One of the great mysteries of the pin code I guess. Lol

Yeah, the one last week when I asked about one in my husband's name after checking mine said it was by address. But the week before asked for anyone else's name?... So confused.

Hi guys! I posted this in our December facebook group too, so apologies to anyone reading it twice.

We finally have a free dining pin!!! I have been checking weekly with no luck, and for some idiotic reason it did NOT occur to me to check under my inlaws (who are traveling with us). Sure enough, my mother in law has one!

So, I have my travel agent working on applying this right now (well, first checking availability of our rooms/resort, etc).

Here's my problem. Free dining starts 12/15 and we check in 12/14. That's fine - I'll having her do a one night room only, and then start our package with dining 12/15. We won't do a park on check in day (we can't right?), and we will pay out of pocket for dining that day.

But, and this may have been discussed and I missed it, Monday is my ADR day. Is there any way I can still do the +10 ... or will I have wait until Tuesday since the package will now not start until the 15th? The CM I asked at Disney who told me about the pin said to call and try .. he said they would try to override/connect the two reservations, but he wasn't sure if it would work. Does anyone know if it can be done? Part of me was tempted to wait until Tuesday to apply free dining so that reservations are made, but I can't risk it not be available.

In 2010, we had a 2 day ADR and then an 8 day one for free dining. I was told that I could only make ADRs for 2 days on my original ADR day, because of that being the length of my stay. I tried to make them all anyway, online, and had no trouble at all.

And you can get your tickets the day early according to Chesire's sticky all about tickets.

We got a 40% PIN off last year and are looking for that again!

WE have booked the Contemporary for the second week in December. I get a pin every year, but we usually stay at the Dolphin or Swan. The cast member who made my registrations said that I could just call in the pin number and they would adjust my room rate. Is that correct?

If you receive a PIN that covers your dates, you can call to see if it can be applied to your existing reservation. If there is no availability for the resort or room type you have booked, you will have to switch to one that is available under the offer in order to use it.

I'm staying with my family of 5 the same dates. We are staying at POR but one day I would LOVE to stay at Poly...that would require a lot of saving and begging my husband though. : )

I'm booked there for the same dates too. : ) I have not booked air yet though, I'm worried I might need to be flexible due to FD, if it goes public.

I booked our airfare for Nov 30th as soon as the rates were released. The price has really gone up for that date since then.

Well I broke down and called today. I didn't get the friendliest cm ever, but he did check for me. No luck. : (
I asked if he had heard any rumors of free dining, pin codes or public and he gave me the "we don't know until the day it's released line. Boo. It's funny that some cm's seem to know a lot mire than others. : (
I'm goin to try to hold out until July 1.

Free dining availability goes by the arrival date. The last free dining arrival date with the current pin is 12/22.

I called last night and I have no pin attached. So I said to them cm "don't you have any free dining pin you can just add for me" she replied with " if I did I would" boo hoo!
