Free Dining 2013

I am totally and utterly irritated and I don't know where else to vent. We booked our package with a TA a couple of months ago for 8/31 - 9/8. When Free Dining came out we had our TA change our reservation to a room only for 8/31 - 9/2 and then the package from 9/2 - 9/8.

I have not received a confirmation via email regarding our package details and the Disney website reflects two room reservations but the second reservation doesn't show any package details - tickets, dining plan, nothing. Asked the TA, she assures me it's correct via email right after booking.

Two weeks later and it's still not showing correctly on Disney's website. I call Disney and they will not give me any information about my reservation because it's owned by the TA. Um, the TA is not paying for any of this I am but they won't even confirm that the details of my reservation are correct and told me to contact my TA, again.

Seriously? I'm not asking for any changes. I'm asking for a confirmation that my package is correct. I'm getting very close to cancelling the entire thing and rebooking it on my own so I can get even basic information at this point. I have never encountered anything so completely ludicrous in all my life.

I can understand. After reading everyone's posts I just sent am email to my TA to get one. I hope it is sent because I will rebook everything.

That is the other crazy thing. I was already booked at AoA Finding Nemo, why would I change to Lion King for a RO discount?!!! And why would my TA call at 7am on May 6 for RO? Disney already verified she did this at 7:17 am.

Disney has to see this was their mistake, right?

I would think so! Hope all works out!!!

Update: It is now under official review by Disney and will have answer within 24 hrs.

AoA is sold out. A quick fix now option is to book Beach Club for about $100 more than our current pkg. should I do this or wait for review results?

Yes, Beach club is wonderful!!!

TA has called Disney and she is waiting for Disney to verify that it was their mistake. TA also said because it was applied during Disney Visa promo period she could not do online. Had to call Disney directly.

After reading the last five pages (you ppl have been busy this afternoon lol) I had a mini panic attack and called Disney to make sure my res showed dining at all let alone the FD pin I had attached. Thankfully it did but my Disney online account and the automated system when I called both didn't have anything about dining. I book everything myself and never use a TA bc I have control uses haha

Some of you stated that when you thought you had booked your Free Dining package, but had only a room only discount applied. THANK YOUfor sharing that!!! I went over my numbers and they did not add up. Guess what?
They only had me under a room only discount!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are in the process of fixing this as we speak!

I'm so glad that you doubled checked... and I'm so sorry yours is wrong too! you can't believe how relieved I am that I called to change to Movies from Sports since the food court is going to be closed during our visit. To take away my room discount, and not give me free dining... what did the CM think I was calling for??? Cause it wasn't just to chat at 6:20 a.m. - I get they are human, what I just don't understand... he recapped it to me over the phone.... good luck with your reservation... I personally believe that they should let you stay in the AOA room that you have booked and give you the free dining, especially since they can see that you called that morning. Good luck! No FD noted on my res on line either, but the invoice from Walt Disney Travel Company does when I click on the reservation on that e-mail. Was sure glad to see

How do you know if your free dining was added to the package for sure? Mine just said magic your way plus dining. Should it say free dining anywhere? I'm pretty sure the price is correct for having the dining free...just want to make sure.

You should be receiving a confirmation email with a link to all the details of your reservation. On there it will show something like "Free Table Service Meals" and "Free Dine Quick Sevice Meals"

Could someone please tell me what dates the food court will be closed at The All Star Sports. Part of my family will be staying there Sept 24th through Oct 1st. They may want to change if it is during their visit. Thank you for the info!

The CM I talked to yesterday confirmed that it would be the entire month of September..... but yes, these are the dates that I have seen posted. Some people don't use the food courts, but my family does... we have breakfast there almost every morning... and a dinner or two also. Taking a bus to another all star resort every morning before going to the parks sounds like a hassle to me....

I would wait for the review results if I were you. I know none of us here like waiting much, which is one of the reasons we get up so early to make these reservations in the first place. They need to make this right for you, not make you pay more money for your hotel. Beach Club is nice though. We stayed there in Oct. That 5 minute walk into EPCOT during Food and Wine was fantastic. Good luck.

I never received a confirmation email after adding free dining. I thought I would especially since it changed my room type too. It's been a few days also. I thought I'd have it by now.
