Tree Exchange organized wdwstar following the first swap from twinmomplus2 to donald@home
in 2003!

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING TO THE THREAD - LIST WAS CLOSED 10/26/12
********************************************************
The Dates of the tree exchange are November 17, 2012 to January 6, 2013.
This marks the first decade of sharing Holiday magic by passing a Christmas Tree among DVC Families!
Now is the time to let us know if you are going to be participating! The list of participants will close October 26, 2012.
1) Donors: Please post on this list if you are donating a tree, and if it is for a specific resort or usable anywhere. You need not be going to WDW to donate a tree. PM or email me your email address.
2) Families: Please post on this list the resort you are staying at along with your check in and check out dates. I'll assemble a list and then coordinate who gets what tree. Please also PM or email me with:
-the name that is listed on the reservation
- if you are also donating a tree
- the ages of any children in your party
- your email address
I'll try to make sure everyone gets a tree. If you are staying at multiple resorts, you will only be put on the list for one resort. If there are spots at the other resort(s) after the list is closed, we'll try to get you a tree there.
You may not have the tree for your whole stay, so the greatest number of familes can have trees. I'll do my best to fairly distribute the trees. In cases of multiple requests for the same day with not enough trees, families who resquest first and those with children get an edge (sometimes I need a "tie-breaker").
Remember it's all about sharing the Magic of Christmas, so we'll all do our best to make a special time in a special place just a bit more wonderful!
PM or email mrshiny at gmail.com with questions.
Merry Christmas!
Guidelines for participants:
DONORS:
The tree should be decorated, 2-1/2 to 3 feet (no bigger than 4 feet, please).
You'll send it to the resort to the attention of the first person and then it will be passed to other members and shipped back to you.
You should include some ornaments, lights, extension cord(s), a list of families (in addition to the one on the box), an envelope for shipping money donations, tape and a marker. Optionally you can include gifts for each family and a return shipping label (prepaid if you can).
If you have questions about donating a tree please send a PM me.
TREE FAMILIES:
Pick up the tree at Bell Services on the day of arrival after 11 am. There will be a envelope for donations in each tree box to help with shipping the trees to and from the resorts.
Please drop the tree off on the date of your departure at 11 am with Bell Services for the next family. Cross your name off the list on the outside of the tree box. Many families also add an ornament to the tree.
When dropping the tree off with Bell Services, please point out to the CM who the next family that will be picking up the tree. Also, get the name of the CM who you left the tree with.
Occasionally, a tree is misplaced by a CM. Please don't spend your vacation tracking down the tree. Allow Bell Services to look for you!
NOTE: THE DAY YOU PICK A TREE MAY NOT BE THE DAY YOU ARRIVE. THE DAY YOU DROP OFF A TREE MAY NOT BE THE DAY YOU CHECK OUT. This is to share the trees with the greatest number of families.
Happy Holidays to You and Your Family! Thank you for sharing a little Magic with us!
