It's OFFICIAL! We are going.... Nov 11th - Nov 19th @ POR!!! Even though I've been completely planning everything and made reservations, I wasn't totally sure we were going. Well, DMIL told me today that it's a go...her treat! :woohoo: I love my DMIL and not just because she pays for Disney! We'll pay for all the tips (meal and mouse keeping), MVMCP tickets (which I can purchase now since I know we are going for sure) and souvenirs. I hope to be able to do something special to surprise DMIL, but I can't decide what. I thought about the fireworks cruise, but I'd love some other suggestions.

I think I'm finally content with our plans. Well, with the exception of waiting on BOG to open up ADR's!
11/23 arrive, MK, dinner @ Tonys Town Sqaure
11/24 Epcot, lunch @ Coral Reef, dinner @ Garden Grill
11/25 AK, dinner @ 'Ohana

11/30 DHS, dinner @ 50's Prime Time

:cheer2:That is so awesome!!! I love the fireworks cruise idea, we have one reserved as a special treat for my mom. But if you don't have your heart set on that, what about one of the in room gifts from the Disney florist? Would she like a surprise like that?

Is PhotoPass worth it? The regular one, not the +. We're probably not doing any character meals since my kids have decided they'd rather do meet-n-greets in the parks. We have 3 couples plus my 3 kids so I figure each couple could get pics and I could get lots of my kids meeting characters. Maybe a few of the 'magic' shots, too. Or do the PhotoPass CD's just sit in a drawer somewhere with the pics never printed? I have tons of pics from our last trip that still haven't made it into a photo album or scrapbook, and these are ones I didn't pay $120 for someone else to take.

no they arent but if you are interested in any of the ones that I have made, you can just click the link and add to cart and buy them. I think the Christmas one was $5 shipped or so. I love doing them

I think I might try one but it's good to know that as a backup I can buy one that you already made!

Just thought I would let you know that all the comments I see about CLP has me so intriqued by it and now planning my next trip to be in early Dec (next year) so I can get a chance to see that. Haven't even made my first trip yet and I am an addict:rotfl: Thanks!

Went through the Disney box today with the kids to take inventory :dance3: That always makes us excited!!! I need to buckle down and list all of the hundreds of projects I need to get done and start doing them!! Anyone else have "disney crafts" to do??

Me! :wave2: Me! :wave2: I love my Disney crafts. I am done with most of them, but have a couple more to do...mainly the tie dye shirts that I keep putting off. :rolleyes1

I hadn't thought about that! I'll have to check it out. :goodvibes

For us, it's completely worth it, especially if you plan on seeing lots of characters.

:rotfl: it gets worse I had my first trip in 2010 and when I got back I had like 500 posts and the rest are from THIS trip.... and I want to go again after this! :upsidedow

The fireworks cruise is awesome! We did it a few years ago for our anniversary. How about a spa visit for your DMIL? Is there something that she would never do for herself that she would really love? The Wishes dessert party? Harmony Barbershop will do adult's hair & sprinkle with pixie dust. Wild Africa Trek? or another tour???

I am in so much trouble, aren't I? :goodvibes

YES YOU ARE! :lmao:

I'm still thinking about adding a fire works cruise. :thumbsup2

I love all your choices! We've never done deluxe...heck, we even share our CS meals!:rotfl: But I think it would be so fun to go deluxe.

:cool1::cool1:Glad you're going for sure! What a great MIL!:goodvibes I like the idea of the spa treatment or the surprise in the room.

Yay!!!:cool1:

You'll  POR! Make sure to take the time to walk around there. It's so beautiful! Take the boat to Downtown Disney. So beautiful and relaxing! Think about getting a preferred room. If you're far from Riverside Mill and/or a bus stop, it can seem like an exhausting walk, esp. After along day at the parks. Oh, and the gift shop is fabulous!:)

I second the preferred room!:thumbsup2 We were very far away from the food court and gift shop and that was the least favorite part of our stay there. We were close to a bus stop, though and we did love the grounds and all. Have a wonderful trip!

THIS. We don't follow them to the letter either - the touring plan is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules. :upsidedow

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Love it!

Are there touring plans available online? Or did you make your own up?

You can subscribe to touringplans.com or you can go to your local library and check out the Unofficial Guide to WDW. There are touring plans in the back of the book.

There's no fun in being done! :lmao:

hiding all of the cuteness!

Love, love, love these two lines!!:rotfl:

I have news! :yay: I have changed our flights to November 28th to Dec 6th!! I still have to call Disney to change our reservations and we may not be able to get AoA, but still, I'm happy. We are even flying out of one airport and back into another one where we'll have to rent a car to get home (for the same cost as paying for airport parking). But the price was only $25 more than our original price of $396 for the two of us, so I'm so happy!

I realized that with my daughter having her baby toward the end of October, I want to be close by...and she lives 6 hours away. That was the main deciding factor. I decided if I could get reasonable airfare, I would go for it. I'll still check to see if we can get a return flight to our home airport. Also, the new arrival time for Orlando is 9:15PM. We always do the earliest possible arrival time, so we just added another night to make up for it. I'm really excited now about our trip and can't wait to experience the Osborne lights again, the unbelievable Christmas decorations and Candlelight Processional. I'll be competing with everyone else for ressies come Tuesday morning!:rolleyes1 Good luck to everyone...hope you get just what you want!:santa:

Now to go change my ticker!

Now to go change my ticker!

Speaking about competing Tuesday I was reading some posts about last year and went into panic mode again , people saying how they had to redial for 15 mins then hold for another 45 minutes only to find the restaurant of choice for the show time they wanted was not available. :scared1:

So I made 3 Alternate ADRs this am for my 1st, 2nd & 3rd CP Choices just in case I have to do some ADR shuffling when I see what is available on Tuesday when I finally get through on the phone.

Has anyone seen a list of the restaurants for this year???

From what I was reading Biergarten and R&C were not included in 2010 :confused3

I am really leaning toward the fireworks cruise, but I can't get it to work with my schedule. A spa treatment is out.l..she gave her a gift certificate for a massage once and she never used it. Years later she told that she doesn't like people touching her. I guess she didn't want to hurt my feelings, but I would have taken the massage! :rolleyes1 She's not really a sweet eater so the dessert party is out. The barbershop falls under the no touching...seriously, she gets her hair cut every few YEARS! WAT or other tour might be good. I'll have to check those out! Thanks for all the suggestions! :goodvibes

I looked really wonderful!

OH NO!!!!! I think I waited too later to buy our MVMCP ticket!!! We wanted to go Nov 15th, but it doesn't look like the adult tickets are available any longer. Can anyone look and confirm for me? I am praying I'm looking at it wrong. I am going to be so upset if I can't get them.

ETA: I found them! Duh! Apparently, I am "10 and up"! :rotfl:
