Maryland DISers!

Did anyone go to the Baltimore Grand Prix? What was your experience like?

Also, good luck to the Ravens!

My husband did! He is a huge Formula 1 fan and has gone to the Formula race in Montreal. He and a few of his friends went for the day on Saturday. They saw the qualifying race and the American La Mans race. He loved it. Said he would go back again. They took the light rail in, picked it up in Glen Burnie off of 648 instead of dealing with traffic and parking.

Do y'all like the new Maryland Football Uniforms?

Hi everyone just happened to come across this thread and I live in Hagerstown, MD! I love Disney and have my next trip booked for F+W :)

Just came across this thread as well. I live in Pasadena, and am going on a solo trip in February, my second solo trip. Glad to see lots of Marylanders here :goodvibes

Hello all. I live in Arlington, VA now but may be relocating to MD very soon. A job lead looks very promising. I'd be looking to move to the Rockville/Gaithersburg/Shady Grove-ish area. Problem is, I don't have a car. Does anyone know of any good apartment communities in that area that are near transportation (metro or bus) and close to shopping (mostly gym and food)?

Despite living rather close, Montgomery County is foreign to me; it's like the bizzaro world version of northern VA.

Thanks!

Shady Grove has so very nice looking townhouses right adjacent to the Metro station. I have no idea how pricey they are.

Have you considered looking along the MARC lines? We live within a long walk / short bicycle ride of the Odenton station -- I think with BRAC there are also shuttle buses. AA or PG counties can be considerably less expensive than Montgomery.

Good luck,

Hi TravelAgentJen. I'm in Frederick so we're pretty close. We have our next trip to WDW scheduled for October.

So glad to see that we have so many Marylander's on the site. :cool1:

I also am within 3 miles of the MARC station. It works great for us.

Is there anyone on this thread from Maryland or nearby that is walking in the Avon Breast Cancer Walk in DC - May 2012? If so, I would love to catch up with you. I registered and I'm looking to join a local team.

Thanks.

They are having the Susan G. Kolmen walk for a cure--the 2 or 5 mile walk (cant remember what one) in Ocean City in April 2012. I am going to try to do that one. There is no way I will be able to get off to do the walk in DC.
