At long last, Nicki & Todd are going back to WDW, LIVE!

On the way out we stopped in the Xmas store so I could pick up holiday cards and the crowds were wild. THey were buying so much stuff the shelves were empty...and no Xmas cards to be had.

Oh well, next time.

DH had to visit the mens room so I popped into the stores nearby. I was in the Design a shirt store and came up with this little beauty but first someone was behind me

DH: Your are not getting that shirt

ME: Why not, its so cute

DH: Its not true

ME: Yes it is, its all true

DH: So what are ya saying?

I'll let it speak for itself

Needless to say he wouldnt let me get it (not really but the line was tooooo long to wait for it)

We had to wait for 3 buses to finally board one. This is craziness!

Tomorrow we are going to get up early and get to AK.

DH: What park are you going to kill me with tomorrow

ME: None, we are going to check out and go home so you can sit around and do nothing

DH: Yeah right, we will be lucky if you get us home by 8 for your precious Desperate Housewives

ME: Ha ha smart guy, it starts at 9 and isnt on tomorrow anyways :woohoo:

ME: We are supposed to go to RFC for breakfast...that was what you wanted

DH: (thinking, thinking, this is very dangerous). What else is there to eat in AK?

ME: Nothing, there is nothing else to eat.

DH: Well, I'll decide later and let you know, we have plenty of time

:scared1: Plenty of time for what? Me to go insane???? Let me know what??

So we are either eating at RFC or we are not, I might have to hunt down some sort of CS in AK....lunch will be who knows what. Maybe I will drop him off at AK and then just go to breakfast at WPE in DTD by myself (hey a girl can dream cant she)

I promise to update when I get home!

Can you believe its over?

Glad you had a great meal at Cape May! We ate there last year on our anniversary trip and really enjoyed the crab legs. It was DH's first adventure with crab legs and gosh I had only had them once before. They were wonderful but you should have seen the mess we left at the table when we were done. We probably should have asked our waitress how to crack them to get the meat out of them easily. We were having a difficult time. Meat was flying all over the place. :rotfl2: I had a reservation there for our upcoming trip but changed it to Captain's Grille. Gosh, now I don't know. I'm afraid the adult sons who have never had crab legs won't get enough enjoyment out of the buffet. Decisions Decisions! I probably wouldn't be able to make a reservation if I wanted (that only happens to you two)!!!! And yes, now I'm hungry for rice krispies. DH and I were just at the grocery store tonight and he was begging for a box of ricd krispies so I could make rice krispie squares!!!!!!!!! :) Safe travels on your way home!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, poor Romeo here almost had his second heart attack when he saw THE shirt. We definitely think you MUST buy it the next time you go just the way you have it in the picture. It is just TOO PERFECT for him.

Those crab claws look as amazing as every. I could almost taste them. Well, not really, but I can imagine almost tasting them. Fultoj's is the only oen I insist on when we go together next year.

I can't believe the trip is at an end. Where did the time go?

Let's just say this about Edward: :worship::worship::worship: I feel like a new woman. I went with a new massage -- the 80 Therapeutic Massage which includes range of motion, stretching and compression to increase circulation and heal muscles. My back and legs (which were also bothering me) feel terrific. I went with the Magnolia spray instead of lavender and it smells wonderful.

Anxious to hear about the Clambake. And I didn't Todd would cancel Fulton's....but this trip I never know what to expect from him. ;)

I am so glad you are feeling better! I think I am going to the chiroprator when I get home :lmao:

Thanks for sharing your trip and all your meals and fun. You definately have us in the mood for our trip! Have a safe trip home and happy holidays!

Thank you for reading! I hope you have a great trip and Happy Holidays to you too!

Okay....I am NOT so patiently waiting to hear about Fulton's tonight. And did you find my goodies? And I replied about my massage...but I think you missed it because it was be4tween your Cape May review (let's just say...I LOVE Edward).

I found it! I did get your magnet and the calendar :thumbsup2

I would go for the all you can eat instead of Capt Grille...you get the same thing but more of it. Just take the crab leg and snap the small piece off at the joint and then snap the long piece right in the middle..it will pull out in one piece...happy crabbing!

I loved the shirt too...given more time I could have come up with something like

Sir Eats Alot drives his wife to She Drinks Alot

I cannot believe the trip is over but we are sooo ready to go, the crowds are not our way of doing WDW

With all the walking to a "DIFFERENT" restaurant, you probably need to.

I found it! I did get your magnet and the calendar :thumbsup2

Thank you; let me know what I owe you.

Oooh...I like that too.l I think you and I should "buy" shirts for our men next year.

I cannot believe the trip is over but we are sooo ready to go, the crowds are not our way of doing WDW

I think we need to go September when we normally go or earlier in October so we don't have those crowds (plus I would like it a little warmer than you had it).

Enjoy your last day; be safe driving home.

Call me when you get home and are adjusted to the real world.

Mark sends a kiss; and give Todd a kiss for me.

Hi Nicki!

I am finally back and all caught up!

How fun you ended up at VN several times! The food there is good, isn't it? Guess I'll drop my La Hazienda ressie in favour of VN (again)! :lmao:

So sorry about that crummy meal at CG! :scared1: We don't usually order the filet or chicken there, and our meals have always been spot on! But then we usually go at a later time, right before the fireworks (when they are early), so that the family with kids will leave shortly after and the noise dies down.

Cape May looks good, are there characters for dinner? We both don't really enjoy buffets and if there are characters as well ........... :rolleyes1

All those Christmas treats brought back so many happy memories of our Christmas trip! Thanks for all the photos!

I cannot believe it's all over again! PLEASE, try to plan a trip again real soon? What about President's Day weekend? Not that I am selfish or anything, but it is only 90 days away! :goodvibes :rotfl2:

I don't want you to go home yet! I'm enjoying the reviews too much! But I can't blame ya for wanting to get out of there with those Thanksgiving crowds coming in. :scared1:

Now you have the Cape May dinner on my list. It wasn't something I was every particularly excited about before (seafood on a buffet? sounds dangerous) but since Miss DRE said it was good....it must be so!

Fultons looks yummy too. I almost made an ADR there for December since the friend I'm traveling with is from Missouri and doesn't get a chance to eat good seafood much. But since we're going to the Tampa area as well, I figured we could get good seafood a lot cheaper there!

I can't believe it's over! Than you so much for taking the time to share your vacation with us and for being so darned entertaining.:thumbsup2

Have a safe trip home!

Well, at least Fulton's was good. I never knew this before, but apparently, in many parts of the country, schools are out the entire week of Thanksgiving. I know a lot of parents will pull their kids out, regardless, but all the T-day crowds make sense.

I can't believe its over, either. Or that you and Kathy are wrapping up your reports at almost the same time! :sad1: And, for the record, I'm with Karin....a few days in February might be really nice! :rotfl:

Wow, Nicki...now I HAVE to try Fulton's!! :lmao: Perhaps THAT should be the restaurant DH and I go to on our date night in 2012! It's crazy huh? Planning dinners for summer 2012! ;) Maybe we should go there on date night, take the kids to Flying Fish, Citrico's and Bluezoo, and skip Yachtsman? I told you...I will change my mind 1,000 times between now and the 180-day mark when I will be on my computer at 5am waiting for the site to allow me to make our ADRs! :rotfl2: And then I will second-guess myself and all the dining decisions a couple of dozen more times before the trip...if I'm lucky!! Luckily though, we go for 10 nights, so we could get away with going to all these places and still have plennty of time for a few character meals for the boys! :rotfl:

Your review of Cape May dinner was very nice. Like I had said before, we can't go there because of my son's allergic reaction. But...the allergist says there is a really good chance he will outgrow the allergy, and we decided to test him again in 5 years when he is 10 years old, and then once again around the time he enters high school.

We never made it to Goofy's in DTD. We had lunch as EoS in July (it was great!), but we were so full and we had dinner ADRs at Chef Mickey's that night, so we didn't get dessert. Originally, I wanted to share something at Goofy's, AND share something at Ghirardelli. Oh well...that's why I'm glad there's always a next time!

The Gingerbread decorations at Beach Club look beautiful! Unfortunately, we can't go at this time of year because we're teachers, and I refuse to go Christmas week...even though we're used to summer crowds at WDW, I refuse to go there either CHristmas week or Easter week. So, when we retire...I think the first thing we will do is take a Fall Foliage cruise that September, followed by a drive down south, to the F&W Festival (if they still have it...we're talking about the year 2032!), then tour around down south a couple of weeks, then back to WDW in mid-November for our anniversary and to see holiday decorations! It's all planned already...yes, I'm a planner!! :lmao:

The crabs at Fulton looks so good but then I like the fried lobster (I didn't know its not on the menu)...if I want that I just asked for fried lobster. We are going to go for lunch and I'm hoping to be able to order dinner things.
Safe driving and can't wait what Todd wanted to eat for breakfast.

Hi Nicki,
Just getting caught up with your reviews. They are great and I love all the pics. I ate at Calif Grill twice. My dinner was delicious the first time I ate there, so we went the next year and this time my dinner was inedible. I don't eat meat, so they made some sort of vegie lasagna, that was awful. Haven't been back since. We love Cape May. Always had great food there and we're going back in May. Thanks for taking the time to share your reviews!! You guys sound like you had a great time!!
Joan

Your crowds really describe what our vacations are like since we can only travel in summer, Thanksgiving & Christmas times. DTD sounds like a nightmare. YIKEs... Loving the reviews!!!

Hope you had a great last day and safe trip home!!!! Thanks for sharing the week with us. I always look forward to your live reviews!!!!! If I could, I would definitely do the same but I only have a crappy cheap cell phone. :) Of the three Via Napoli meals, how many did you have an adr for? I'm thinking once half of our party returns home that maybe I can convince the adult sons to try this place (walk up of course). They are pretty plain pizza people so I think the pepperoni pizza would be safe for them to try. I can't wait to return to the world and only hope some of our meals are as good as yours. Again, thanks for taking the time out of your busy week to share it with us. Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

So glad to catch up - had relatives in town this weekend and then the baby decided to party from 1-3am! Ugh!
Your reviews are awesome! Thanks for taking us along. I might now have to try that cheese Danish - and Fulton's looked awesome!
I have friends who were there with you last week who said on Sat it got nuts. It was tough because their kids got used to walking on Wed and Thurs and then BAM!
I'm so sad it's over.. hope y'all are having a good day at work.
For our upcoming trip I might need to ask for some of your favorites!

Hi everyone!

We are home and safe and sound but back to work and that is terrible!

Promise to catch up as soon as I can...still have soooo much to tell you :rotfl2:

Hi Nicki,
I'm happy to hear that you had a safe trip home! It's going to be hard to get back to reality. It always is for me. Thanks again for the great reviews. It was really fun reading them. I'll look forward to your next trip reviews!!
Joan
