Can anyone clarify how many inches are between the two beds? If an inflatable sleeping bag would fit there, I would rather do that than put something in front of the door. But if even an inflatable sleeping bag will have to go in front of the door, we may as well bring a twin inflatable so he's more comfortable. TIA.
We've used an inflatable sleeping bag between the beds and it works out fine. But, I don't have the exact measurements.

I just wanted to thank whoever posted the pictures of the CMs doing The Twist from the first post. The tall girl in the middle is one of my closest college friends and former rowing teammates. I saw that photo this morning and started screaming! Who would have thought I'd find a photo of her on the Dis.

That is so cool! Whoda thunk it?

I wish I had the exact measurement, but another notation about this that I have in Post #1 under Making Reservations can help you if you go to Graco and get measurments:

....Graco Pack 'n Play (this will just fit between the two full-sized beds with about 1.5" to spare)

Hope that helps!

Are rooms in the 80's section refurbed? That's where we asked to be put (call me nostalgic for my youth!). Any suggestions for what room/building to ask for within that section? We stayed 50's last time and loved it and the view of the fireworks. I don't think the 80's section has a view of fireworks, but what about the lake or something "pretty"? We also want a short walk to the parking lot cause we'll be driving quite a bit. Thanks!

I actually like Pop better than the mods. I just don't get paying the extra money for marginal floor space and still getting double beds (except CSR) and still having rooms open to the outside.

IMHO Pop is one of the best resorts for the money, which is why we are heading back!

This had me laughing. Because dh said why pay 750.00 more for 2 extra feet of space.:lmao:

I am sorry if this has been covered before but I have not read all 244 pages. I want to take advantage of the free dining for 2011 but I don't think I want to spend the extra money for a moderate. So my question is, has anyone stayed at Pop after staying at a moderate and regreted the "downgrade"? This question almost sounds snobby and I am not trying to sound that way, just looking for impressions, promise :flower3: I have never stayed at Pop, it looks nice, but will I miss the extra space and fridge?

Another question...are the fridge swaps disney legal? I don't want to get in trouble for anything, I don't want a disney hand slap :lmao:. Are they trustworthy? Anyone use them? I am asking here because all the Pop fans are here with all the inside information.

Thanks for the help, I am going to continue to read the thread for more info.

We stayed at CBR in January and in previous years have stayed at POFQ, CSR, WL. Hands dow Pop is our favorite and we travel with no little kids. CBR I didn't like much the other 2 were OK but for the price difference we chose Pop preferred room. hope this helps.

Well...it is finally here. Our *Disney Eve*.
Off to bed now because we will need to be up at 3:30 am :-)eek:) to catch our flight to MCO. We didn't get any calls from Disney this week;), so we should be checking into POP tomorrow morning around 11:00am:banana:.
The only requests I put on the reservation was for the 50's section. So I will be back to report the latest and greatest at POP after the 26th. :goodvibes

YES! Thank you! I missed that part! Graco Pack and Play width dimensions seem to vary slightly by model but are generally between 28 and 28.5 inches so with 1.5" to spare the space between the beds should be somewhere between 29 and 30 inches. That helps a lot. THANK YOU!!!

Sounds like the flights we take! Best of luck trying to sleep tonight (Can't we all relate to the "I'm too excited to sleep!" feeling? :goodvibes) Have a great time and can't wait for the update!

Have to agree with the posters who said why spend the extra for a MOD!!!First that is more money in my pocket to spend on other things !!Secondly I like the closeness of everything !! At the mods and Deluxes I've visited I totally get lost and it seems like such a walk to everything !! Lastly I have found that Pop is soooo friendly !! I am a smoker and I thoroughly enjoy all the little chats we have and have made many a friend during my stays !! So Pop you ROCK!!!!!

Within the last day or so, Kelly posted the following update:

Just a quick update on the refurb situation. I know alot of people don't read the other thread.

Looks like from what people have posted 80's 90's done.
70's 90% done. This came from cm's at pop. We thought they were done.
60's Building 5 done with a report that they are now working on building 4.
50's building 3 done.

Someone please add if you hear anything else.

There's a link to the Pop Refurbishments Thread in Post #1 under "Classic Years' Rooms/Refurbishments" if you want to read that as well. :)

You may also appreciate looking that the property maps in Post #1 that shows you proximity of things and which buildings face what on the property. I especially like the one under the "Preferred Rooms" section of Post #1 because it actually gives distance from decade courtyards to Classic Hall.

Hello all!!! We just booked our stay at Pop for February 6-15, 2011. Last year we stayed at CBR and although we liked it regretted spending the extra money on a room. After looking through this thread and at pics we picked pop because it looks like so much fun.

Can't wait to go.

Happy trip! We have to leave super early for our flgiht also. We need to leave the house at 330 am ugh. But we get to Orlando at noon. It would have been earlier but we switched our flights from Saturday to Friday to get a extra day since airtran changed the saturday schedule. The only thing is the 2 hour delay.

I know that "can't sleep feeling"!!! We leave on the same day for Disney! 15 more days!

I love the smoking section. LOL! You see the same people each day and it's like you become friends and start asking about how the previous day went.

Hi all- I saw the cake info listed on posts 1 and 2- I am wondering if anyone has ordered a cake directly from POP- if so I would LOVE to see pictures and cost- the cake thread is massively long and would take forever to go through :)

I don't think Pop makes specialty cakes. I think you can order some, but they are very basic. All the info should be on the 1st page. (and I believe there isn't alot because there isn't much choice)

I am so excited I could burst!!!

I don't know if I mentioned this here, but the trip is not only last minute but a complete surprise for DS. When he gets up for school that AM we are taking him to the airport instead of the bus stop :ssst: I bought him an "I'm Going To Walt Disney World" T shirt from the Disney Parks section of disneyshopping.com to wear as well. I cannot wait to see the look on his face! :goodvibes

I had one back in May 2008, but it was a nightmare to get it. My TA finally got through to a chef to help get it arranged. And you have to pick it up in the food court, there is no in room delivery/set up like there would be at a deluxe resort.

(I brought the Mickey candle from home)

In all honesty, for what Disney is charging for custom cakes now, I would just get the Sara Lee one they have in the refrig. case in the food court.

Here is a picture of the decorated room that I did while DS and DH were at the pool. I bought it all at Walmart and brought it with.

We will be staying at the Pop again in Oct, this time we will be having someone using crutches and would like to request a room that will be easy to access. We do have a preferred room booked.

We want to request the first building, first floor facing the hippy pool. Anyone know what those room numbers are?

I think it is 5461 which would be pool facing and 5161which would be the first room on the back side of same building.

Anyone know??
