Oct 3 - Dec 30 FD & Code Watch (Only)

just checked.....no FD, still better off w/the 20-30-40 PIN. We miss the public FD by 1 day......so it's still cheaper to use the PIN...:sad2:
 
I mentioned in another thread, I ended up calling to check for a pin because I hadn't had anything come up, and a couple of things struck me as odd when talking with the cast member....

- I was straight forward with her mentioning that I had booked and wanted to see if I could save any money by adding a discount pin, and asked her to see if there were any attatched to my name or my wife's...no problems, but her next question caught me off guard "what kind of discount were you looking for?" I get a choice? (I should have asked for the 100% off one!) I am not going to call back just to see what else was allegedly attatched to me.

-The CM seemed a bit confused or surprised I didn't use the most recently sent pin to me ( I am guessing the 7/13 FD pin?) as it covered my travel dates. I explained to her that I haven't recieved anything like that. My TA also could not understand how I had it with nothing sent to me either....(it took her a bit to find it, but she got it squared away). She said it was sent out to me, but as of this time, I have not recieved anything, in either of my two email accounts, nor my wife's.

I still think something was up a few weeks ago when I received from Disney Destinations, in my main account, TWO emails with the same deal offered (the original summer dining plan offer that ran till Oct 2. The same for my wife, the exact same offer twice, in the same week. I read here that others got the same thing, and I think that the offer was supposed to be something different, but the current offer was sent instead. Something got Snafu'd.

All and all, it worked out for us, we got our ressie changed and saved around$500, which helped cover the cost for the MNSSHP tix we bought. We are staying at the POP from the 15-24 Oct., and have ressies for the Castle on our 10th Anniversary. My oldest DD is SO excited.

I am hoping though, that some pixie dust and lots of luck come to everyone else who was blacked out, or needs a little help with their trip.

Nice! Those are the same dates I am booked for a POP but no FD pin for me. :(
 
We're booked during the black out dates the first part of November, so I've been watching for the FD to be extended. I called today, after first saying I was in the black out days, the cast member found FD for Nov 7-11 with a 4 night stay. She didn't tell me the name of the discount plan, but it falls right in the middle of the black out. She looked for a few minutes before she found it, and seemed happy to have found something that would work for us.
So... there's something out there that's working during some of the black out days! Keep trying!:)
 
My TA just emailed me and confirmed Im now BACK at POP and at a cheaper overall cost!!

I'm sure we would have loved CBR, but I gotta think about saving as much $$$ as I can right now.

YEAH! I knew that just didn't seem right. I bet she'll have you fixed up in no time! :yay:
 
Called again this morning...nothing. I'm officially done calling. Wish I could trade someone my 20/30/40 PIN for their FD PIN. We would save about $900 more dollars, make our trip very affordable, and not miss any school with our family of 5 at POR!! :(

Going in December with my 24 yr old daughter. We are both Disney fans, no one else in the family can stand us.

Just got an email for Free Dining PIN for our Dec 8-13 trip! Have to have hubby (he's my travel agent.) call tonight to verify, but NO black out dates listed like the general Nov/Dec FD offer had! Looks like everything except Thanksgiving week.

We had booked already, using a 20% off (on room only), but since that was only $80 something, even with only two of us going, pretty sure FD is a better deal for the week! We're staying at a Value, so Quick Service only, which is fine with us. Having our other meals paid, means we can now splurge in some nicer dinners!

AND, we have enough Disney reward points from our Chase Visa cards to pretty well cover all our souvenirs.

Well, hope springs eternal I guess. I said I was going to let it ride but someone posted a different phone number to try so I thought I'd give it one more shot. I was disappointed when it ended up routing me right back to Disney Travel anyway, but I figured I'd hang on the line and ask since I had invested the time getting through the automation system (so annoying!).

Glad I did because I got a CM who was very nice. I told a little white lie & said my DH thought he got an email PIN but couldn't find it now and was there any way she could check. She did and we had a FD pin on DH's account.

Called our TA and she was able to add it. Phew, I don't feel so shunned now. I guess you really do have to be persistent and keep trying until you get a rep willing to help.

I'd much rather have a 40% off code but FD is better than nothing!

It has black out dates, including my arrival.

Dont give up! I had... then my wife got a PIN today!

I have called numerous times and told there was nothing.

I have a feeling they never looked. Keep checking that email.
 
I never actually got a pin, but when I called and had them check they said I had one. :confused3 So, don't give up! :goodvibes
 
I'm very upset with my chances of getting pins. I'm aware I should be grateful that I am even receiving them, but they are not for the dates I will be travelling. Last night, I called and no pin was attached to my name, although I believe it was the rudest CM I've ever encountered. She basically said that I would get an email if I had one and that was that. I checked my email and I have the Free Dining Pin, but it ends on 12/16 and I'm going December 28 - January 4th. I was really hoping for anything but the 20% off pin that a person in my party has. It's not saving us much with 3 adults and 1 child (age 3) going. I wish I would've taken advantage of my bounceback offer, but this trip was spontaneous with my two best friends and my goddaughter.

I wish I could give someone my pin for Free Dining. Times are tough and I feel like Disney should be thanking those that are even going by allowing to use pins from others that are not going during the available times.

Guess I'll just join the wishful thinking train on a pin being released for me to use during my stay. I've already changed my dates three times to be able to use the 20% off pin. However, the CM I talked to said to keep my eyes open as a deal for my ressie was getting ready to be released. :goodvibes

Usually nothing is given out for that time frame and never free dining

I have free dining booked but got a pin for 40% off deluxes so we called to see what is available that week and nothing in the deluxe catagory:confused3. There are a few villas available in OKW and SSR, but we do not want that. Oh well I guess.
 
I'd keep calling everyday. Cancellations occur all the time. You might just get lucky.

I am right with you. What stinks is my mom has recived 2 Free Dining Pins to my work email and I got shot down trying to use them. She went with us last year but I booked everything under my home email and name and I have gotten squat. Go figure :confused3
 
Yippee!! Just got the email to DH's account! I had just told him yesterday if he got anything from DisneyDestinations to please read it. I just checked my email and he got it at 12:30. Just forwarded it to me without saying anything one hour ago! It was so much fun to open my email and see it there! So now my TA is calling to change that first night which was blacked out! Hopefully that will all work out!:banana::banana:
Continued pixie dust for everyone else! I will say my TA just told me everything but WL is booked for our week the 22-28th. Hopefully you all get what you want/need!!
