1st -- sorry to hear about the missing stroller.

2nd -- yes, we still want to be in the swap, Nov 14-18.

3rd -- We can work out stroller sitting arrangements closer to the date, if you need me to.

4th -- if it helps at all, I arrive after 2pm on Nov 14th and we are just doing a resort day. So I really won't need the stroller until late evening of the 14th. We'd like to use it first thing in the morning for our Epcot day on the 15th.

Obviously all of this is contingent on the quality of the strollers. I'll wait to hear back from you.

I still need to hear from goff1029 so DisneyDreams4P&B knows who/where to leave the tinkerbelle stroller.

If I don't hear back from Goff tonight, then leave tink for me as planned. I'd rather be safe and know where it is exactly than worry about losing it too..KWIM? If Goff checks in, we'll go from there.
 
OK...here was todays events....

I talked to urgoinagain and her loving DH left the stroller with luggage services at Pop Century at 11pm on 8/25/09. He watched them wheel it into the storage area.

When photolover showed up on the 26th, no stroller. She initally contacted urgoinagain on the 26th about the stroller. urgoinagain gave her the same info she gave me about where it was left so photolover was going to check again with POP. She didn't called urgoinagain so she assumed she found the stroller without a problem on the 26th. Yesterday, 9/2 she contacted urgoinagain that she still hadn't found the stroller...and that is when I was contacted.

Yesterday, no such luck in finding the stroller. I called POP luggage services on three different occassions no sign of #1. I talked to the front desk and still no luck.

This morning, I called Pop Luggage services and nothing. I called the front desk and still nothing. I called Pop lost and found and it hasn't been turned over to her. She was so sweet as she could tell I was getting frantic. She promised that if it did show up in Lost and found she would call me immediately. She said everything must pass through her before going to Central Lost and found so it would definitely be her that would be calling if it showed up in Pop Lost and found.

But the bad news...new policy/adapted policy...if a stroller isn't picked up on the day on the stroller, they SOMETIMES will set them out front and let other POP guest use the stroller as a freebie. So I asked her if that happened, does the guest bring it back to Pop, should I continue to call a couple times a day looking for the stroller. Her answer was no, that it is up to the guest if they want to return it or keep it. OMG! I hope this isn't the truth because that isn't so right on so many levels.

I explained to her that even if photolover's information fell off the stroller, my information was on it incase it was lost at WDW. The only reply I got to that was that was if it did show up to Pop, she would call me...but the CM in LS might not have noticed a small luggage tag.

I've got tomorrow off so I am going to spend the entire day calling each and every resort front desk, luggage/bell services, and each resorts Lost and found. 22 of them times 3....heck I have 66 phone calls to make tomorrow:scared1: I'm going to start with CBR, AS Music, and POP. Since urgoinagain was at Music...I'll start there. Then I'm calling CBR...This is just a thought but photolover was staying at CBR. Maybe Pop Luggage services noticed her name, ressie number, arrival date and accidently shipped it to her resort instead of leaving it at Pop. They do have resort to resort shipping for guest...so maybe that happened.

Lastly, I'm not sure who has been my hidden angels but while on the phone today I was told I was the third caller on the stroller and two ppl have already been there and went through LS and Lost & Found. So whoever you are swappers...THANK YOU for trying to help.
 
Phew. That's a lot of phone calls.

I'm still in for whatever you need while I'm there. I'm very disturbed about that new "policy". I hope it isn't true.

Fingers crossed, you've pulled many a rabbit out of your hat since I joined this swap. I hope your luck continues.
 
A RABBIT IT PULLED OUT OF THE HAT!

I found the stroller!!!! But now I am trying to get hold of photolover for her to pick it up!

Disinsept....The seat is on the way for #3 and I had already contacted Disneynuts777 with your information through a PM and leaving her a voicemail last night and today.

As soon as I get hold of photolover...if I can get hold of her...I will update you. The worst thing, you might end up with two strollers while you are there plus the new seat for #3. Is this going to be a problem?

OK now to the sleuthing...

As I stated before, since one swapper was at AS Music, the other was arriving at CBR and the stroller was left at POP for pickup on the 26th. To me, in 12 hours a stroller just can't go missing. So I decided to start calling tonight...first calling to Pop one more time. Nope not in LS, Not behind the front desk. Then I called CBR and asked for Bell Services. Really funny cast member answered and within 3 minutes of me explaining the situation and him checking...we have a foudn stroller.

BUT they can't take it to photolovers room since the name she gave me is not the name on the ressie. Last name is the same but the first name isn't...so I was told. I've left her a voice mail and hoping she returns my call tonight or in the morning so we can get the stroller back.

Right now...no...until I know the swap is back on track. My luck I would and the darn thing will go missing again or be stranded at CBR until I get there in two weeks.:rotfl:

Gilliansmommy PM'd that they have decided to take their double because of the issues with #1. I totally understand as the seat is in bad shape...needing sewn again.

I have a one day overlap in #2 and the big overlap in #5 but I also have a swapper who hasn't read the last two PMs (as shown on my end) so if I can't get a response soon, those two overlaps can be moved to #5 safely with only the 1 day overlap on your last day there.

So that takes me to Disinsept and Goff1029. If I can get the swap back in full swing, Disinsept will be getting two strollers and she can leave #1 with goff1029 as originally planned and give #3 to Tinkerbelle21 as now planned.

Ok...someone correct me as I am getting confused myself...lol

We sent the extra frame down to replace #4 which was on it's last leg. Jenok0426 was kind enough to take everything off #4 and put it on the frame. Old #4's frame is in a box waiting on me at Pop Century.

#5 is needing replaced so when Disneynuts777 leaves tomorrow, she is going to leave #4 in #5's place and sending damaged #5 to me at Pop Century.

So at this point, I have a boxed stroller and a damaged stroller sitting at Pop as of 9/5/09.

ok...this leaves #1, #2, and #3.

#1 has been found but not picked up.

#2 is still doing good with the hand sewn seat

#3 has broken seats but a new seat has been ordered and will be installed by disinsept.

Soooooooooo since #2 has a hand sewn seat ad #3 has a new seat, I can leave #3 which will be in near perfect shape in it's place.

that leaves me with #1, #2 (leaving #3 when I get there), old 4 frame in a box, and old #5 which is damaged to bring home. Do I have this right?
 
Excellent detective work Maddi. That is fine i will get the both strollers and hand off 1 to Goff as already planned and give 3 to Tinkerbell. Tinkerbell please private message me with your info and arrange a handoff location.

I will stick with our new arrangements for #5 and as i am leaving and she is coming in, our overlap wont affect either of our use of the stroller, great work!!

Oh and the rain cover has shipped!! yipee!! (especially as i hear it has been raining in the evenings)
 
I talked to Photolover, got her room number and called CBR with her information.

Called back 20 minutes later and the stroller is already on its way to POP Century. :banana::banana:

We are now back on track. She will be leaving the stroller for Disinsept who will be leaving it for goff1029 who will be leaving it for me!:rotfl: It's all good!

We leave in a week and airline has screwed up our dinner ressies. They moved back the departure time 1 hour which means my DS won't land until 4pm. Our ressies are for 5:15 at Ohana and of course the have nothing later. Any suggestion on a backup resturant????

Jazz even though the airline changed his departure time to later doesn't mean you have to accept that time. Honestly this has happened to us several times and this is what I do...

Call the airline and tell them that you have an appointment the demands you be there at a certain time and that the departing flight will not work. Request an earlier flight (it's always good to go to the airline website and find a certain time/flight earlier in the day so you can give them that) and they can/will put you on an earlier flight. To date, I have always taken an earlier time out. If the first airline rep says no, call back or ask to speak to a supervisor. Heck they can even put you on a partnered airline to get you there on time.

I just looked at our thread stats...guess what!

We have had over 101,000 views since the start of the thread and we are on page 244. Which means we are going to be getting a new thread soon as each thread is only allowed to have 249 pages...if my memory serves me right...which after this week it might not be!:rotfl:
