I tried looking at the specials page and it just shut down on its own. Maybe they are trying to mess with it?? I know they didnt release their 2009 deal until Oct of 2008 cause we were out of town with our daughter in the hospital and I had to check it out online!! LOL! And we booked then. Ill check later, Im gonna go back to bed, this is my last day to sleep in since the kids go back to school tomorrow. We leave for Disney in 24 days!!! YAY! Hoping to go back during spring break too, we will see.

A couple of hours ago when I clicked on the Special Offers, those old offers were there; now - nothing. The website doesn't seem to be experiencing any problems so perhaps they're busy working away getting a fantastic new offer loaded.............. let's hope, anyway!!

Would the CMs admit if there were a new special coming? Because if they would, this seems like a tell-tale sign that this is all just a rumor....

Some will, some won't, some don't know, and some are misinformed. Just this year, I've seen posts from people who were told to check back on such-and-such date for a new deal, some who have gotten "I don't know" or "I can't say", and some who have been told outright wrong information like "There isn't going to be free dining this year". So I'd put CM information as about as reliable as DIS rumor, overall.

I'll throw my speculation in on this one. Just as it was before free dining the special offers page is in indeed blank. Also a few threads earlier in the week mentioned seeing a 4/3 banner up on the website for a few minutes but nothing happened when it was clicked.
I remember this from another time before a deal was released. The website was odd for days.
I'm willing to bet there will be something released for today.. and that like the podcast rumored it will be a 4/3 deal with different conditions than last time.
Just my hunch but I'd be willing to bet on it.

when i go to the website I see the same offers that have been there for weeks. What page is/was blank? I go to Disneyworld.com . . . is there another website that lists the special offers? thanks!

You know, a few days ago there was a 4/3 banner, but when I clicked on it nothing happened. I wondered about that. I am hoping that the deal is for 2010 though!

When the 4/3 deal was released in November, wasn't it released at 5:00 PM or some odd time? I remember being upset because it was at a time when I had to drive my kids somewhere and I didn't have access to my computer.

Maybe the big announcement wasn't a deal. Maybe the big announcement (which they happened to release today) was that fact that starting October 27th they will be releasing park hours 180 days in advance and dining reservations will go back to 180 days in advance

Last year when codes came out for December dates I called to apply the code to my existing reservation. The CM played all dumb "I don't know about any codes? What codes? If you don't have a code I can't do anything." While we were talking I looked up the code (on the DIS) and then she seemed to actually know all about it.

I think they're told not to give any info about discounts away.
