Cool cake! But there is just something disturbing about black icing that I don't like! I mean how do you make black icing? And what color is your toungue afterward?

If you're like most people, you get a new toothbrush every six months, but you really should be changing your toothbrush more often, like every three to four months. When the bristles get worn and lose their rigidity, they don't remove plaque as well. But you should also do some maintenance within that three months, when your toothbrush is just sitting out in the open. After all, think about all the germs and bacteria floating around that would love to attach themselves to your moist toothbrush.

So to prevent colds, flu, and other sicknesses, Reader's Digest recommends that once or twice a week you run your toothbrush through the microwave on high for 10 seconds immediately before brushing. If someone in your home is sick, you may want to sterilize it in the microwave each time you brush. If you're the one who's sick, after the illness passes, ditch your old toothbrush and replace it with a new one.

Well if the temps are getting like that in the south, then there is no sense in us moving down.

Not today, but yesterday the high was in the upper 40's and was rainy and very windy. YUCK! And they said we may get down into the 20's the beginning of the week. Did the weather not notice I live in the DEEP SOUTH? What's up with these temps in October??? :confused3 :rotfl:

Tom that is just adorable. :goodvibes
What a special daddy Leighanna has, to make these cute outfits for her. :)

Leighanna has a Halloween party to go to today. I stayed up WAY too late last night to start and finish it.
She loves pink, so this is what I cam up with.

Too many Leighanna Bo Peeps!

Becky, I don't see this weather letting up anytime soon, so I think you are off the hook for tonight.

I hope tomorrow is better, as that is trick or treat for the development.

Happy Belated Birthday Hunter.
party: Hope you had fun on the cruise.

Tammi, I am so sorry.

Kristine, don't you feel triumphant now? You conquered the barriers to successfully procure the cake! Was it good?

I really wasn't joking when I said I am too fat to fit in my jeans. I am in shorts right now, and I will continue to be in shorts for the forseeable future. I have decided not to buy bigger jeans. I have a drawer FULL of jeans, they are just too tight. It is stupid to go buy more jeans. I just need to lose weight so I will fit in the jeans in the drawer. And freezing while I try to lose the weight is a good incentive. I knew this was coming - I should have been trying to lose weight for the past 2 months. No more cake for me!

Awesome costume, Tom. I mean truly amazing.

Tammi, I am sorry. Sending you a hug.

YES! We got it on Friday when we were leaving for rehearsal - literally as we were walking out the door the mail truck pulled in! I've been using it since we got back - for forgive me for taking the picture from the site!

Thank you Denise!!!

I'm so glad you like it. I had Thanksgiving, and I thought the bucket would be handy for fall. Especially since you love this time of year so much!

It is now thundering and lightening here.

I ended up buying a few pair of pants for work in a larger size. I could not fit in my pants. Between my trip, a broken foot, lack of exercise and just unhealthy eating.. I am working on getting back in them, but I could not go naked. Plus I can not wear shorts or capris to work this time of year.

Yay. The bill for the Dr's portion of DH's colonoscopy came in the mail just now. And I know the amount is right, so there's no need to call anyone about it.

The Spring enrollment brochure for theater came, too! There are only 3 classes for DS's age group. One is on Thursday, which conflicts with Band, so that's out. He could do an improv class or a class to learn audition techniques. I think he would like improv better.

The issue with the video class is that it is open to 4th - 6th graders. I don't think he really wants to go to a class with 4th graders. Better to encourage him to try the improv class.

I think you will be staying home tonight, Becky!
I don't have the excuse of needing clothes for work. My bosses might think it is odd that I am wearing shorts, but that's about it! I did tell Momboss my jeans don't fit, so she might not be surprised if I wear shorts all winter! :rotfl2:

I have a few pairs of capris that sort of fit, and the jeans I had on Thursday weren't too horrible. I also have 2 pairs of wind pants that fit. They aren't flattering, but they fit.

Tammi great picture of Nicholas! Sorry to hear about your friend  Many prayers for his family.

Kristine the cake looks really cute!

Elizabeth I think you might get a little cranky if you go to long without cake ;)

Tom I love the outfit you made, you are so talented & Leighanna is one lucky little girl :goodvibes

Becky glad your brother & everyone else involved in the accident fared so well :wizard:

Janet, in the battle of cake vs. pants I think the pants will eventually win. I am so cold natured I don't think I can go pantless for long! :rotfl2:

I made the mistake of trying on jeans earlier this week. They were called "mid-rise". The waist was like 4 inches below my belly button. Um, hello? If the majority of my panties are showing in "mid-rise" then what on earth are "low rise"? :scared1:
I walked into Gap to see what they had. They carry a whopping 3 styles of jeans, all of them flare-leg, low rise, stretch or some crap like that. In this economy you would THINK they would be all about customers. Nope. 2 of the employees were working on resetting some merchandise against the wall (with their backs to the door) and another guy was behind the register (NOT with a customer, also with his back to the door). When I worked retail employees would have ben written up for that. I walked in, looked at the jeans, took one pair off of the hanger to see how long they were, put them back on the hanger, and walked out. Not one of those employees ever noticed I was in the store. I SO wish I was a secret shopper at times like that.

So, between the ridiculous cut of the jeans, the ridiculous price of the jeans, the pitiful customer service, and the fact that I HAVE jeans, I am not buying any new ones. ;)

I cannot wear jeans like this, I refuse to look like I have a so called "muffin top" :rotfl:

I guess I like to wear the mom's pants that sit at the waist lol
