Animals And Creatures Seen In Wdw

Sorry I don't have pictures but I have seen wild snakes on two different occasions. The first time was at the Animal Kingdom walking from Africa towards Pizzafari. A ~3 foot snake slithered across the path in front of me and went into the bushes. I thought a custodian CM saw it and was going after it but apparently she was looking at something else. I was a bit surprised but no one else seemed to notice.

The other snake was at Typhoon Lagoon on the path/line to Slush n' Gusher. He was hanging out by a tree in the bushes. My daughter actually spotted him first and pointed it out to me as she ran by.

We also saw a baby gator in the water by the bridge on Tom Sawyer Island. I did get pics but don't have them at work.

I get yelled at by the DW and children that I take far too many of these animal pictures. Besides what you see below, I have taken pictures of deer along the monorail line, turkeys, and armadillos. I wish I could find them.

We saw these ducks in many pools at the Poly last December. I snapped this one before a guest or lifeguard chased him away.

Somebody mentioned the soft shelled turtle in Epcot near the Pavillion. Here is one with a Slider friend.

Godzilla eats Germany.
There are so many of these that I stopped taking pictures of them unless I see one in a neat pose like this. I also liked the one in the HM Hearse posted earlier.

And of course, you never see enough of this guy:

We saw 2 bobcats on our way from POFQ to DD via the river (or canal). They were sitting up on the bank. They were gorgeous! Sorry, no pics.

We were walking in DTD last Oct and an otter came out of the water and ran across the road in front of us and into the water on the other side :) He was pretty cool!!!

I've got a few of CSR's alligators. Sadly, those are locked in the dust collecting machinery I used to call a PC. My little Web Kinz fiends did something to it and it refuses to boot up!

We have spotted lot's of armadillos and deer while driving to and from Magic Kingdom. Bunnies at several of the resorts.

But nothing compares to the SCARY FROG!!! Yep, I am scared of frogs!! I am at the pool at the ASMU when nature calls. I head into the bathroom by the pool. Do my business and start to leave. You have to go down a narrow hall way to get out and there sits the FROG!! Smack dab in the middle of the hall. Oh crap. I am not about to try and go around him or step over him because he will jump/hop/leap and I will die.

So I stand there. I wait. I wait some more. He doesn't budge. Finally a little girl (age 7-8) comes in and I kindly ask her if she will move the frog outside. Thank goodness for that little girl because I would have been there all night!

I have seen the following animals, insects, bugs at the following locations:
Alligator-Magic Kingdom.
Turtle-Disney's Hollywood Studio's.
Frogs-All Star Music, Caribbean Beach.

I have seen many more but I am having a hard time remembering the names of the animals, insects & bugs. I'll edit my post when I can remember.

I have seen Deer on two different occasions. One was standing at the edge of the TTC parking lot. The other strange animal was an armadilo hiding in the shrubs of AllStar SPorts . We meet him returning to the room one night late. I wish i had some pictures but all three times it was such a quick happening

Many Disney Ducks, gulls, flamingos, frogs, lizards. I have not seen any gators (although I would like to get a pic from afar lol) as much as everyone says that have seen them.

While in Animal Kingdom in July we got to talk to one of the CM's that runs part of the animals and tours. He told us there are many gators at disney. The CM's are all aware of where they like to hang out and are on the look-out and take care of it a.s.a.p They incourage them back into the water, but are aware of where they are most of the time.

Well I've seen Elephants, Giraffes, African Hornbills, and even a YETI!!! :scared1:

I don't have a picture, but last October we saw a snake slither right in front of us on one of the pathways at POP. I was ready to die! I hate snakes!

Also, for those of you not from the south...we have another name for armadillos...they are known as opossums on the half shell! :lmao:

We saw a pretty good sized snake last week on the path between Shades of Green and the Poly. We didn't stay around to take a photo!

Saw this while walking the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail this past June:
