Yea that is what I said too :rotfl:

Sorry I forgot that you would still be there as well!

That's ok...I can't really keep everyone's dates straight.

I really think that I would have changed hotels by now if I had "control" of my own reservation. It really is best to just keep it, though, so I'm glad I don't. We'll see how Laura feels about it tomorrow! Though she is going to catch me if I keep typing about it now with her home. :rotfl:

Well I look forward to meeting you at dinner!

After much hemming & hawwing about my resort choice & saving some $ I have switched our ressie from BC to POR. I saved $1200 with the AP rate PLUS dining over my CM rate & OOP for dining. If we took only one trip this year I would have left it at the BC but since we already were lucky enough to go to the BWI this year I knew this was the better choice to make. Of course I will miss my BC but the savings will make up for it. My only peeve with POR was the buses but now we will have our own car so it should be fine.

We have to come in a day earlier so our trip dates are 8/17-8/29. Anyone still there on 8/17???

I am so excited!

I think that is a great decision. We have stayed at POR and POFQ and liked them both. POR was definitely roomier than POP, but not hard to navigate. We too had a car so no problems there.

Glad you're home safely Denise. Travelling with kids is oh so much fun. I can't wait to travel home from Florida with all 3 boys  I hope that more kids can come to the party. Are their any cousins or neighborhood kids that you could invite just to boost numbers?

We don't have one around here and don't get to Disney until the 28th

All this talk of resort changes is kind of funny. We typically go as least expensive as possible because really we are not in the room much at all. With the cost of living rising exponentially we just feel priveledged to be able to vacation as often and as long as we do. This trip is for 3 weeks and we have fun things planned, but it will definitely be a budget trip. We will eat in the camper as much as reasonable possible and limit souveniers. As long as we have fun that is all that matters. :woohoo:

So Stephanie and I were driving to lunch and I asked her if I could buy the plane tickets for the trip down when SW puts out the ding on June 26. Now, mind you, I am a little slow at times. I was born blonde. :lmao:
I guess I figured that the dates were only open to the beginning of our trip. Not for the whole month of December.

I could see that she was getting a little frustrated cause at one time she crossed herself and muttered, 'God she was born blonde' :lmao:

I kept thinking since I had the $$ now I would get tickets for the flight down if that was okay with her. She kept saying that I could do it and she would get them for the way home. Whatever time I wanted, coming or going was okay. Needless to say, I muttered under my breath something like witch while I was getting out of the car. :lmao: :rotfl2:

So, we are sitting at our favorite Sushi place and she asked me if the headrest worked out fine today. She was able to get it fixed.

We came in my car-----------

:lmao: :rotfl2: not hers.

We figure there has to be some blonde in her too.:rotfl2:

O M G. We were laughing so hard we actually had tears streaming down our faces.:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao:

Especially when I asked about the headrest. :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

We are such twins.

But we BOTH will be buying airfare, down AND back on June 26th.:rotfl2: :rotfl: :cool1: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: yes, we have to come home...:rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks for the link!

And I answered you on the other thread, but I will answer you here too.

Man, Anne Marie, we miss you by 2 days. I hope you really enjoy POR. But you are right, with the savings AND the DDP, it really was a no-brainer. Now you can put that $$ toward your NEXT vacation at BC! :yay:
Yeah, the CM discount is good but you cannot get the DDP with it. it just made more sense...I am sorry we miss you but hopefully we will swing by you on our way back home. Our driving dates coming home are now 8/29 & 8/30 (fri & sat)

You miss Janet by a day.
Oh poo!

sounds wonderful....and saving money too!! :thumbsup2
:woohoo:

We like POR, and that is a significant savings! I've been thinking about a moderate, but I'm leaving it at POP. This is supposed to be as low-budget as possible for me.

We're at WDW from 8/13-8/23, so we'll still be there!
Ok we will have to meet up!

I replied to this on the other thread too :rotfl: So here it is!

Oh change it to 2 days earlier :rotfl: We leave on the 16th! Elizabeth will be there on the 17th, not sure what time they leave & Bernadette will be there.

If you arrive on the 14th you & your family can join all of us at Cape May for dinner :teeth:

My only worry was the buses as well, but we will make do & you have made me feel much better! I know you are saving a lot of money, but to leave BC for POR, says a lot :thumbsup2
Yep, & hopefully we can go again next year with the savings.

You are so correct!!!! I know we are lucky to go as much as we do so I am thrilled.

I was born a toehead and use the excuse, "I was born a blond" a lot. :rotfl:

This has been one interesting day to say the least. The kids have been as well behaved as 5 kids can be. I'm not sure how it happened, but I'm not going to question it. I worked in my bedroom while they watched Toy Story and Toy Story 2. Then I was looking for something in the master bedroom closet and the shelf and clothes bar on Chris' side ripped out of the wall. Everything hit the floor. What a mess. It made some nice holes in the wall too. I was able to use big wall anchors and longer screws to get it back up without much visible damage. When Chris gets home he needs to weed out about 2/3 of the crab he has in there. He wears uniforms for work so it's not like he needs tons of clothes. The problem is that he is a pack rack. Chances are he will not wear his high school football jersey again, but it was still hanging in the closet :confused3 I also managed to replace the thermostat in our room.

I think that other than a quick clean through next week I'm all set there. At least it will be after Chris does his part tonight.

 is how I might look after 15 days in the car with 3 kids! Fortunately, mine travel pretty well. I was going to say that they are older, but sometimes that is even worse. :rotfl:

Surgery is scheduled. its next Thursday. He will have a valve replacement and a double bypass so please send prayers to my family and that the doctors have a steady hand and he comes out fine.

pixiedust: Your father and his doctors will be in my prayers.

Thanks Vicki!

How appropriate of me after the all the conversations of being blond!

Elin - what time would you like me to pick you up in the morning? I see you can buy the tickets online. Do you want me to do that?
