The internet is a strange place....
I guess it's time for me to take a break from the Dis, for a while.
I've had a weird situation going on since last year, and I think I need a break from here. Thanks to the lovely internet, I now have a (sort-of) stalker..:rotfl: I wish I was kidding. I met someone recently and their love interest, boyfriend/husband/whatever he is, decided he wanted to get to know me better, so behind his girlfriends back, he's been calling my cell, and driving by the house, when he's supposed to be at work. I've thought of telling her, what her boyfriend has been up to, but I figured that since I wasn't interested, he would just go away..he hasn't. So, I had to notify the police, and I guess they will be calling them. :confused3 He's a really nice guy, but it's just gotten weird. So for now, I'm taking a break from the Dis, I will be checking in from time to time, just to lurk, but until this whole situation has died down, I don't feel comfortable posting any more. You all have been wonderful, and I will be thinking of you all as I sit and sew all by myself...:sad2: Take care everyone! and Big Hugs to all :grouphug:

Wow that seems very scarry, and you are right to take a break. I've only ever posted pics rarely on the internet, because you just never know. Stay safe, we will sorely miss you!!!!

Hello Everyone...we actually went on a two-day getaway to Lancaster PA and just got back....I missed you all. I just scanned all the pages I missed. Great Easter pics everyone!!!:thumbsup2 And I wanted to say too that my prayers are with you, Princess Kel and Teresa. Oh and just cause you posted right above me, Laura, I love both outfits you made!!!! Your children are just so adorable. Now how did you make the rocket ship? Did you cut out fabric and applique it? Its really cool! I wish I had a fancier machine.:rolleyes1 So I will post a few pics while I am doing laundry :laundy: First I gotta load em up....it may take awhile. If I dont get to it tonight, perhaps tomorrow.:confused3
One last thing, Lisa (Lisazoe) have you made anymore outfits for your trip?

Thanks, I used software to digitize a simple image of Rocket and then stitched him out on my embroidery machine.

I love these! And those are my favorite 2 patterns at the moment! Did you do the ties on the neck strap? I LOVE the buttons around the waist. I may have to CASE that! (and the hidden Mickey!!)

Yep, I did the long neck ties version. Seemed easier for getting it on and off my squirmy girl ;)

Ok, I know that Laura will not know me cause I've been off of here for so long.... but I have to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE your stuff. Little will definitely have some outfits cased off of you...if only I had an embroidery machine (when is Christmas??)

Thank you, I do love my embroidery machine with a passion.

Hey everyone! I love all the outfits today, and the Mulan is awesome!! Love it.

So I am going to my brothers tonight to look and see what type of car I will be getting.

I told my landlord that dh (or soon to be ex dh) is gone and it will be just me and Georgia. He was very supportive about it and understanding. SO that was a HUGE plus! So we do not have to move or change her schools. My dad also said he would watch Georgia here at our house on the nights I work so she could still maintain a routine! YAY!! Because she sooo needs it. That is a huge plus as well.

I can say that this week is hard but on a plus side I am not down 5lbs! Ok so the lack of wanting to put food in my mouth helps. But I have been able to walk and work out because I have to keep busy. So I will keep that up too!

Its going to get easier right??

I hope it gets easier for you soon! I know it's hard but it sounds like you have a great support system in place which will totally help.

I wanted to post my bows last week, but alas I ran out of hours in the day.
Here our our ST Pats bows and others. I forgot the easter ones
and I can not find them.

I'm sorry to hear that you are going through this. Take care of yourself and I hope you'll be able to post here again soon when things are resolved.

Just love these!!! What digitizer do you use? I am wanting to get one, but everyone has a fav!
Lori

I use a friend's copy of PE Design every once in a while. I can't afford to buy it for myself yet so I just digitize with them. I really like it a lot. I use Photoshop to do the line drawings and create the images and then digitize them in PE Design.

Amazingly, I still have quite a bit of sheets left! I have only used half of the flat sheet. I still have all of the fitted sheet, and quite a bit of the flat. I made Caity's skirt from the pillowcase. I love how these look on, maybe I can get some cooperation from the girls and get them to model! :lmao:

Castlecreations, I am so sorry to hear that! I will miss you! I know I don't post a ton, but I try to keep up. I hope things work out for you.

Elisa,
So sorry to hear of your situation. It sounds so scarry. We are going to miss you around here, and Ireland too. But you know what is right for your family. I hope all goes well, and when you check in I look forward to seeing your girls smiling faces in some great castle creations. God bless, Michelle

I have been MIA for a while. Sorry! I haven't even been lurking, so I missed a LOT in the last week or so.

Teresa told me that someone asked what pattern I used for Sawyer's Prince Charming outfit. I used Simplicity 9862, the Captain Hook costume (just the jacket). I shortened the sleeves and the jacket length. I also straightened out the bottom (it bells out at the bottom for Captain Hook, but I just cut the fabric straight down for Prince Charming). For the pants, I just used a pajama bottom pattern with an elastic waist.

I am so grateful to everyone on here who is praying for Barbara, my SIL. It's been so hard for all of us, especially dealing with the uncertainty. Thank you so much for your support. :grouphug:

PrincessKell: I don't know exactly what is going on because I just saw one of your posts, but I want you to know that I am thinking of you. You and Georgia must be going through a lot right now.

CastleCreations:Yikes! That's scary! We'll miss you around here. I hope everything gets taken care of soon!

Lurker coming out of hiding...

I did post last summer after I made my first ever piece, a sundress, and now I am getting ready for our June trip. My mom is going to help me make some pieces for DD and I am looking for a great Peasant Top pattern. Do any of you have a favorite one? I would really like to make it in the new blue Kids fabric for Epcot.

I didn't see any outfits made out of the blue in the PB so I didn't even look through the fabrics.. YES!!! I was thinking of doing the dainty designs halter dress w/ the shirred back w/ it. You know I hate it when the patterns say "pant pattern not included" Then don't tell you where to find the pant pattern, I didn't see the pants for that one or the DD's peasant dress either. GRRRR
But YEAH those ar the fabrics I have. Good lookin out;)

I think that would be really cute in those fabrics. You could easily use 3 of the fabrics with it & you could always trade one of the ruffles out to use all 4.

People just TICK ME OFF. I mean really...what a jerk...your life is being disrupted, those of us who love and adore you and your talent will be robbed of that...grrrrr.

I've been through something similar though and you absolutely DID THE RIGHT THING calling the police.

Please keep lurking until you feel safe to re-emerge. I will miss you. I too was drawn in by your talent and your gorgeous girls. You have always been so helpful and complementary to everyone who is just joining the dis boutique-ing craze!

Stay safe. Be careful. We love you!!!

Welcome back!! I love the Portrait Peasant top pattern from youcanmakethis.com. I've used it LOTS of times and it always turns out cute!

I HATE to cut fabric, so I sat down and cut out the fabric for 7 different outfits a few days ago. So far, I've completed this one, and a matching Build-A-Bear dress. Tessa's going to wear this on the day that Sawyer wears his Peter Pan costume and Lydia will wear a Tinkerbell dress. I frankenpatterned the portrait peasant top for the top and CarlaC's a-line jumper for the bottom half. I don't have a picture of Tessa modeling it yet. It fits like a long shirt and she'll wear some capris under it.

I'm almost done with a minnie dot jumper (and matching Build-A-Bear dress), too. Hopefully I'll finish them today.

Sorry about the large pics
 I am having trouble with photobucket shuting down on me when I resize.

that happens to me all the time too. I have to select the photo and then resize it by entering 640x480 manually instead of being able to select message board, which is why it takes FOREVER to update my TR!

That is really really cool and original! And it will look great with Tessa's blue eyes! :lovestruc

All I can say is WOW!!! I love this. If I was better at appliqueing I would CASE this. I do have some similar planned for DD with a Pooh bear silhouette.

That's stunning, I love the sillouhettes on the starry background :)

Just wondering if there's a record for the number of needles someone's broken in a single project - I'm up to 2 right now. I just want to know what I'm shooting for!

hey y'all. I haven't been keeping up too much lately, but I just wanted to say I'm praying for Heather and Teresa's SIL and HEATHER!!!! The peter pan shirt is GORGEOUS!

My record is 4!

Thanks so much for the compliments on the Peter Pan dress! Tessa wanted all of those characters on her outfit, but I didn't want to piece together a bunch of appliques. So, I got the idea for the silhouettes while we were watching the movie. The silhouettes were easier than I thought they would be! I'm working on making a picture-heavy applique tutorial. I'm trying to spell out each step carefully to make it as easy as possible for beginners. When I get it done, I'll post it here.

The link Aimee just posted is for a Trip Report!! YAY! I love me a TR!!

Barbara update: She just called me and told me that the sonogram they did on her left breast a few days ago was clear. The cancer they have already found is in her right breast.

After Teresa forwarded a very helpful PM from CampbellScott (thank you so much:hug:). to me, I called and made Barbara an appointment with an oncologist at our local cancer center. Then, I called her and let her know she had an appointment. She seemed really glad that I did that for her. I didn't want to overstep the boundaries, but I also really wanted her to see an oncologist. Barbara is mildly mentally challenged and also deaf, so it's really hard for her to communicate with doctors. My brother is really stressed out about everything and doesn't seem to know what to do. So, I really hope they don't mind us "interfering".

I went back and read all the well-wishes and prayers that are being sent our way. You guys are so wonderful. :grouphug:
