Hi Everyone - a little late, but a few more valentines things....
These are all adorable!!!
Riley finished her first project on her new sewing machine today!
.
I am so proud of her. She was sooooo excited when she got them finished!
She's getting too old Denise!!! She is looking much too grown up! What a fantastic job she did on those pants! You should be proud, and so should she!
Here's a picture of the "whipped up" outfit I made Leigh today.
I made it extra twirly for her
Leigh says that this is "her pose!"
That is so cute!!! I was soooo close to buying some of that fabric yesterday! I love it!
and her pose is terrific!!!
Teresa- who is mk & ashleys cousin??
In one of Marie Kate and Ashley's videos they went to the Mall of America with their cousin. My girls like to watch that video. I think it's called Mall Adventures or something ingenious like that!
So here's a post of the two new projects I'll be starting next week.
The first is a really cute top that I'm borrowing out of the Limited Too catalog. The blue top is $27 retail and my fabric combined in the blue and blue flowered total cost $8. Can't wait to finish is.
This bottom fabric is my nightmare!!!
I don't know what DD5 was thinking about except that she LOVES
Buzz Lightyear. She wants a skirt and I thought I'd be able to pull out the light blue with some different fabrics, but she wanted the pea soup green? Again I don't know.
I think I'll do the basic three tier skirt because otherwise I'm going to be sick with the color. Any ideas?
She'll be popular with the boys in her class that's for sure!
I made Lydia a Buzz outfit with the redondo style pattern, it turned out really cute. you could do that and put rick rack betwen the dark colors, or use three colors for it.
I'll be adding a tutorial for decoupage jeans to the DISboutiquers board. I also reposted my corset tutorial and added some photos of examples as well as how the corset can be used for the bodice of a dress.
Your first corset top tutorial is still bookmarked, but I will update it and add your decoupage jeans tutorial too. Thanks!!!
I would really love it if you wrote up your applique tips again. They were great, and I haven't been able to locate them on Google.
Pretty please?
SO...prove me wrong, doesn't anyone else say Rad, or am I REALLY the only one?
I never said it, so I'm no help. But, I'm SURE there is SOMEOME left out there that still says it though!
scott took the kids to the zoo an hour ago and I am already done with outfit #1.
This is a new little nautical outfit for nicholas!
Lori
That is so cute Lori!
I am cutting it tonight!!! WISH ME LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait to see it!!!
I like your dea of the gingham under the skirt! I was just looking at the scallop pattern and I had purchased some tulle for the HM pink fabric in blue, pink and purple that I didn't use. Maybe Buzz will be scalloped with pea green underskirt with purple and blue tulle between! This is starting to sound good! You guys are the best!!!
That sounds cute too!
Will the pillowtop dress big too big for her, she's tiny. I thought maybe she would be too small. I think it would cut off part of the picture. I'll have to go look at the pattern.
I guess it depends on how big your daughter is. If she is really tiny then you porbalby would lose some of the picture. That can look cute sometimes though.
This is my BIG project for the weekend. I bought a $20 folding lawn chair with a canopy, used a dremel tool to cut the bolts that held the canopy on. I went to Home Depot and bought some new bolts, spacers, washer and wing nuts. Then Chris helped me drill out the holes a bit bigger and we reassembled the canopy on the wheelchair. We can take it off fairly easily since we used wing nuts
I'm happy to have this project completed. One more thing that I can check off my to do list.
Wow, that is seriously cool! What a great job you did on that !
Lori- Love the summer wear! My cousin just had a baby boy. I am going to need some advice on Jon Jon's.
My3Princes- That canopy is fantastic!! It is very cute and functional. It looks great!
I am working on my outfits for Ohano's. Here is the babies outfit. Funny this pattern was brought up a couple of days ago. I could not figure out the button thing to save my life. LOL I think I worked on that for about an hour. Then it dawned on me.
My older daughter is getting a very ruffled outfit. I was going to do capris and a shirt but she is my dress girl. I cut her dress first and did not have enough fabric to do the same for the baby. That is why I ended up doing this one. I am pretty happy with the way it came out.
Aimee that is really cute!
Yeah, but did you get up and do the Cabbage Patch, like the mom in the commercial?!!
You
KNOW I did !!!!
Thankfully, there were not many people in there though!
As you may have guesed from Teresa's comment earlier, my appointment with the new hematologist did NOT go well! It was a complete waste of my time. I got there and she starts looking at my chart on the computer and she asks "Did they ever find out why you had that super huge (yes she said super huge) blood clot in your portal vein?" I said "Because I have antiphospholipid antibody syndrome." She said "Oh!" She didn't even know what was wrong with me, or why I was there!!!!! She knew absolutely nothing about it, and just kept telling me "I think you'll be just fine." when I mentioned the extreme fatigue and sometimes excruciating pain I have in my muscles. When I left, I went out to my car and cried. She's the 4th doctor I've been to about this and none of them seem to think it's a problem for a 33 year old to have debilitating muscle pain, for days at a time, for no apparent reason. Okay, that was way more than you guys probably wanted to know. But, I'm really frustrated with the whole situation.
OOOH that just makes me so angry!!! Why are these doctors so stupid!?
