alright here it is....

WE LOVE CRUISING!! and we will only cruise with DCL. It's an amazing experience. We honeymooned on the Magic (it was supposed to be the WONDEr, but the hurricane had us on a different ship!).

It's an amazing thing! It is super expensive, for what you get if you think about it in terms of what you could have at WDW, BUT it's worth it for us!! We're cruising in September of next year, September 3rd! We are in a Veranda room and I can't wait! The kids will be a bit older and we are ready to hit the high seas!! We are renewing our vows again in WDW, so we figured we'd repeat the honeymoon too! only this time with 3 kids! hahah!

No specifics yet, other than Mark's sales meeting in May is in Huntington Beach. He came home and said plan a trip, we're going to DisneyLand. Oh. My. Gosh.

Hey-
I am overwhelmed at the thought of planning for this trip in May!!!! Ugh.

It's one thing to plan a trip rather quickly to WDW when you know the ins and outs of it,

But I have never been to California. I'm scared.

Just looked up flights to LAX on SW and it looks like if I don't want to use DH's miles for a free tix on US air, I can get flights for about $144 each way. Not bad at all. I'm surprised!

still waiting on dates to be confirmed later today or tomorrow.

4 years. Sooo sweet.
We will have our tenth in March, but we've been together twelve. Time flies when you're having fun!

Anyone want to guess where Sulley is in the US?????

WOW WDW, cruising, Mexico, DISNEYLAND!!!!


Where to begin. . .


First off - Sulley we are all thinking of you and wishing you the best of luck in all of the wonderful adventures you are going to have!!


Lake - We've never been on a cruise. We want to, but are just unsure of it. We could afford Carnival or Royal Caribbean, but have heard about bad things happening on them. . . Drunk people everywhere, people falling (or getting pushed) overboard. So we don't really feel it is a safe environment for the kids. So if we were to cruise we would have to go with a Disney cruise. I am assuming they would be the most family friendly! But those prices are scary!! I think the last time I priced it it was more for a 3 night cruise than a whole week in WDW. I just couldn't justify it! I'm sure it is great, but maybe when the kids get a little older.


DMM - Sounds like you have a lot of great trips planned!!


JO - OMG!!!!! DISNEYLAND!!!!! I can't believe it, you are going to beat me to California!! Where are Sea and JC?!? They are going to flip!! I am so excited for you!! DH and I were just talking about going to DL someday. He said we would need to take a guided tour of LA and all the sights so we wouldn't miss anything. I told him we weren't going to pay for a tour - I have people! Okay, well Seacrest!!


DS6 is home sick today. He had a fever last night of 101. It was 99 this morning and then he got sick to his stomach. He didn't sleep much all night. He did sleep for about an hour this morning after I got DS8 on the bus. He seems to be feeling a little bit better now, but is still moving pretty slow. He just said - I'm going to get some toys out of my Disney drawer! Looks like it's Buzzlightyear today!

Thanks Mari! He is up and moving around, he's just very quiet which is very unlike him! I am keeping a close eye on him. His temp is down though.

Sorry about the poor baby. question for you, though. Does he have a sore throat? Even if he doesn't, with a fever, check his throat and see if it's streak-y or anything. A lot of times they will throw up with strep, and the fever concerns me a bit.
It always goes down in the day but will probably spike tonight. Poor baby.

Okay, off of the nurse's box, and giving unsolicited advice (sorry, habit)

I'm going to DisneyLand!

I feel sorry for the kids. It will be the second time we have been to Disney without them in a year. I'm thinking that the surprise trip in October is not going to be a surprise much longer. It just makes me sad to see their little faces. Belle was all happy for us, and Drew too. He said "oh you get to do that roller coaster in the Ears, Mom".
Mary Cat was not as excited. She pouted a bit. Poor thing.

Little does she know...


Migraine coming on. Looks like Excedrine is coming out of the cabinet. ugh, no coke in the house. dang.

I actually have plenty to do. . . I am on my second load of laundry. . . I need to run the vacuum, dust, and clean the bathrooms eek: my absolute least favorite thing to do)! Lately I have been teaching my boys how to clean the bathrooms!! I end up having to do it over when they are done, but at least they are getting the idea. Their future wives are going to love me! I keep telling them pretty girls shouldn't have to clean toilets!!

Hey maybe we shouldn't be responding to all those threads telling them how great May is. . . Maybe it should be our little secret! hehe

So no response on the May photopass share thing??? That stinks! I was hoping to only have to pay like $20-25!!

Hey JO, he says his throat doesn't hurt. I don't see anything in there either! I'm thinking he threw up because of the Tylenol I gave him. I gave him the liquid kind first, he didn't like it and threw up! I gave him the tablets the next time, he didn't like them either but kept it down. He just ate a little bit of rice krispies (with no milk) and drank a tiny bit of apple juice.

Hard to say what he might have. Last week a note came home from the kindergarten center saying that many things were going around since Christmas break and to keep your child home if they have a fever or are vomiting. Apparently some parents were sending their kids to school sick. What's the matter with people???

Evening Mayers!! (Or should I say Mornin' Mayers since I know you probably won't see this til mornin?)

So we're at T-minus 4 hours til leaving the house and T-minus 12 hours til arriving in hopefully sunny (and warmer) MCO! I'm at the beyond excited point of this craziness (and I don't think I'm going to be able to fall asleep anytime soon).

Everything is packed up as best I can tell and I already have another box of stuff to be shipped of things that I had to take out of my suitcase to bring the weight down.

Thank you all so much for your warm wishes! I can't wait to meet the Mayers when you visit and I'll be sure to check in with reports and pics as often as possible!

That looks like a great rate to me! I checked SW to Orlando this morning and our cheapest was $182 one way! Of course I live in the land of expensive flights!

Uh.... My guess is Sulley might be over the ocean soon to be approaching the airport!

Shelly - Sorry your baby is sick. Just a little FYI my kids never say their throat hurts when they have strep (not that your child has it.) They run fever (over 100) and say their stomach hurts and maybe their head. Chris has vomited with strep and I think it is from the fever. Hope he feels better soon.




Well, I just checked Delta flights for the fun of it. $169.50 each way. That is on the direct flight which I love. I just think $99 one way flights may be a thing of the past for me!
