Great job! :cool1: Doesn't it feel great??
I don't think I'll get caught up this month as I am trying to get Disney albums done, but am hoping by the end of Feb. to be up to 2007.

I've got one to add - sort through MIL's 2 carrier-bags full of photos, all mixed up in different developers wallets, none marked with year or contents :scared1:

They've been under my sideboard for 3-4 years now, and as I've caught up with the boys and mum still hasn't sorted out any heritage pics for me I'm going to try to identify those who mean something, and maybe use one of the large CM picfolio albums (as so many are vintage and should not be cropped, and I hate those photo corners - I can never get them spaced right :headache: ) That way if I've inadvertantly included total strangers or pur things in the wrong order she or DH can shuffle them easily.

Just need courage to start!

BTW I HATE all these bugs crawling everywhere - like having the DTs without the alcohol ;)

WOW!! Good for you! You've inspired me! I've got to get off the computer and get to work! :rotfl2:

Here's mine:

Scrap every Thursday with my scrap buddy!
Get albums from 2003 DONE 1/4
2004 DONE 1/4
2005 DONE 1/4
2006 and DONE 1/4 !:woohoo:
finished (just a few odds and ends) and finally get them all put in albums.DONE 1/5
Start/finish 2007 album.

Then I can do our upcoming WDW album, "I Hereby promise not to start Disney until old stuff is DONE!" I'm not even going to print my pics until then to stop the temptation.

Use up old scrap stuff!

Make christmas and b-day cards.

Stay organized!!

Good luck everyone!

I got all my pages put into albums today! one more thing off my list:woohoo: I does feel wonderful to finally have them done. It was fun looking back at my little girl though, she was just too dang cute and has grown up way to fast.

This is great! Here are my goals:

1. Finish 2006 and 2007 family albums. 2006 is DONE!!
2. Order pics every month and keep 2008 family album current.
3. Do WDW book from October 2005.
4. Finish the other 5 or 6 album projects I have in the works.
5. Maybe try to complete an album of my dad's Army photos for his Christmas '08 present.

I separated all of my high school and growing up pics into photo boxes several years ago, and there they sit. I'd like to be able to do something with them.

Now, my "almost definitely not gonna happen this year, but I can try" list:
1. Do an album or albums for my brother of his years playing high school and college baseball--I think that when they have a child, his child would like to see that!
2. Do an album for my Mom with family photos.

Thanks, NEE for starting this! I feel inspired!!

I'm so excited! I finished our 2006 family album today!! Now, off to 2007! I want to get January and February done this month! :thumbsup2

Way to go all of you that already have things checked off your list! Great start to the year.

Last night while watching the presidential debates (all 4 hours!) I began to weed through all my travel "stuff" - brochures, maps, etc - and made some preliminary scrap outlines and journalling notes. I forgot that in 2006 I went away 5 times - none of which have been scrapped yet! I'm pretty well on top of my chronological scrapping (not caught up but 1-2 good scrap days away from being so) but I forgot how far behind on my travel stuff! There's a reason I keep that separate - it's a lot more work than "regular life" scrapping, as I call it.

Wow! How'd you get that done so fast? Did you scrap them all on 12x12 pages? What's the secret? The amount of photos I need to get into albums intimidates me. I think that's why I often put off the job.

yes I do 12x12. I had been working on them off and on for the past 9-10 months and only had a few odds and ends left when I finished them up last week.

But when I first started them I had them seperated into like groups for each year ie b-day, x-mas, seasons, etc and did each year. its went much faster as I only took out that specific embellishments etc once scrapped every year then moved on. I then just kept them in crop cases until I had each year done then put in my albums.

Good luck, hope this might help!

That's a really good plan. If I organized my themes, that would probably work for me. Right now, all I do is rummage for the things I need but that is rapidly getting old.

Anyway, do you find that you procrastinate with putting your pages in albums? I find that I love the creation process but I scrap CM so I have to glue down all of pages once they're done. It feels so much like work to me that I have to force myself to do it. I've thought about trying to reward myself by getting $10 to spend on paper for every 20 pages I glue down but that smacks of bribery (even if it is me bribing myself). How do you do it?

Shauna, I scrap CM too, but I don't adhere my pages right away. I always wallpaper so I do the layouts, if I come across photos I can easily add a page layout. When I am done that trip, that year, etc. I then adhere the paper in whatever order I wish to the album.

Don't think of the $10 for every 20 pages as bribery, think of it as positive reinforcement. :lmao:

 What do you mean by wallpaper? Is that a CM term or a technique I haven't heard of? Enlighten me.

Wallpapering is pretty much a CM term from what I understand. Since the CM albums are strap albums, you strap in the pages, scrap directly on them and then put the page protectors over them instead of putting whole pages into page protectors in standard albums.

Wallpapering refers to using a full base sheet of paper to arrange your layouts which is then attached to the CM page. I wallpaper all of my albums as it allows me the flexibility to scrap out of order.

Thanks for backing me up, Lisa! I like your thinking. ;) BTW, it's nice to hear of an actual CMC that wallpapers as they are usually scolding me not too. How many pages do you normally get in an album?

Thanks for the explanation. I hadn't heard that before. I did that in my CM albums, too. I was wallpapering all along and didn't realize it.
