Apparently the DM (who is making this order) is saying there isn't enough demand at the location I'm currently based out of. Which is crazy to me because I filled a vacant spot when someone quit a few months ago but I'd been working there on top of hours at the branch I was stationed out of for months-- WITH that other teller there, too!
I don't really know what is going on now. I called the DM when I calmed down and said "It's my understanding that I accept another transfer or not have a job, is that right?" and he got kinda upset that I put it so "bluntly".. I told him that that was my understanding of the situation, that I was pretty sure I would NOT be accepting another transfer and if that meant I wouldn't have a job I would need to know that ASAP because I have tuition due in January that I'll need to find another way to pay.
He told me he never thought I'd decline the transfer and he'd "see what he could do" because he didn't want to lose me and that he really appreciated the phone call.
I doubt anything will come of my phone call, but I wanted to hear from him that was the situation. Even if he comes up with a "solution" they're not going to let me stay where I am and I'm getting pretty irritated with being treated the way I am. I do not earn extra benefits on all the overtime I'm working, I do not get paid mileage and I'm feeling very abused!
It might be time to say good riddance! :sad2:

What's the latest?

What's the latest?
Jan :earsgirl:

I've decided I'm sticking it out long enough to get my 2007 Year-End bonus and then that is it.

I consider my two-weeks notice to be me telling the Dist. Manager I'd take the transfer but I wouldn't promise how long I'd stay there.
He might not see it that way, but right now I don't care. :rotfl:

Have you started your Christmas shopping? I have my mother's junk and some stuff for my brother. I know what I'm getting best friend and boyfriend.. but haven't actually bought it yet.

What is your fave Christmas film ? I love the Santa Clause movies. :goodvibes

Does your Christmas tree have a theme? It's non-existant. :sad1:

What would you like for Christmas? I want a spa certificate to go get have a day of wonderful-ness.

Will you be having a traditional Christmas dinner? No, my family never has eaten together on Christmas. :confused3
I think I might have to go "meet the family" with Tom on Christmas this year, though.. so maybe. :scared1:

Where will you be having Christmas dinner this year? I've got no clue. Maybe my Aunt's house on Christmas Eve.

What do you like to drink at Christmas? Hot Cocoa.. :upsidedow

People need motivation. We all do. Something that does not motivate one person will motivate another. You have found an appropriate motivator for 3D Tim. :cool1: That's not bad at all. It is clever detective work! That is what good parents do from the time we first get our babies--detective work.

Way to go!

I have never ever gotten a year end bonus or any bonus for that matter. I make less money for my home visits now than I made when I started homecare in 1995. Medicaid cuts.

Best wishes with your choices on the work situation, Christmas celebrations, etc. Where do Tom's folks live?

Are you in your own place or still living with your folks? (I probably missed some posts that answer that.)

Jan :earsgirl:

PS: There is no such thing as a traditional Thanksgiving celebration. Every family celebrates differently and the pictures that sell cards make us all feel like we are doing it wrong. We do not need that guilt.

The other day DH said he would like to sleep until he wakes up. Let me sleep until I wake up. I can start the turkey whenever I feel like it. We will watch the Macy's parade if we don't sleep through it. We will watch some football and maybe some Disney movies--CARS and MEET THE ROBINESONS are at the top of the list. We will eat whenever the turkey is done. We will not get dressed unless our friend feels good enough after his surgery to come over or we decide to take him a meal. The kids are in PA and we are in IN.
How traditional is that?

Thanks! That how we got him to go kayaking with us! Ask his friend!:rotfl:

I think it just plain sounds smart!!! If you and your husband are happy, it's no one elses concern how you spend your Thanksgiving day!!!!:goodvibes

Vicki I think that's great that Tim will be joining you on your cruise next year. He will have a great time I just know it!!!:cool1:

I was pretty surprised when I got it last year, and to learn it was a yearly thing. I also won some employee competition thing-- out of the 20,000+ employees 276 won something and I did, got a $25 Gift Card. Weird, weird company I work for. :confused3

Tom's parent's live in a different county, here in WV. It's not far but so far I've successfully avoided meeting them. He generally goes over on Saturdays while I'm at work becase I'm petrified of meeting them. My avoidance is beginning to make him very frustrated so I may have to suck it up and go for Thanksgiving. :headache:

I still live by myself :) I love it. Here's a pic of the room I'm in right now (My new favorite-- and the cleanest of them all:
frontroom

When I moved in this room was piled, piled, piled with boxes and clothes my Uncle had stuck in here. It took me six months but I finally got through it all and now I think it's pretty!!!

I agree-- tradition with everything is pretty much open to interpretation anymore. No one does anything "traditionally"...

Why are you afraid of meeting Tom's parents?
The room looks great! Is it an apartment? How long have you lived there? Somehow I thought you lived at home with your parents.

Are you taking classes this semester?

I just don't think they'll like me and I know I'll be all nervous and stuff.

I live in my Grandmother's empty house. She's unable to live on her own but didn't want to sell the house-- so instead of her losing money (monthly bills) because she lives with my Uncle, we all agreed for me to move-in and cover everything. I don't pay rent, but I pay all utilities and general upkeep.
I've lived here since March :)

And yeah.. I started out full-time but ended up dropping back down to part-time because I was going everywhere over the sun with work :)

How is everyone else?? :)
When does Heidi get back? I wanna see more Australia pictures! :cool1:

I don't know :confused3

Patsy:

You are sweet, charming, adorable and a hard worker. You get along well with all of us on the Thread and on the ship. You get along with your customers and all the clients you have had at your varying jobs.

You will get along with Tom's family too.

If this relationship is going somewhere long term--you will be spending a lot of time with them and getting off to a good start now is a good idea. Your friendship with them can grow as your relationship also grows.

You will be going for a visit, a holiday, a table loaded with food and lots of people to talk to. You will do fine!

ENJOY THE HOLIDAY!

Aww:flower3: . I know I'm nutty and complain a lot (Can we say DRAMA? ;) ) but that means a lot.

He keeps telling me the same thing. He's really frustrated with me, but working as much as I have been (Until 6:15PM, with work a half hour from where I live, and then they live an hour from my house the other direction) He's been somewhat tolerant with my excuses.

I know I need to suck it up but I think it's hard because I've got so many issues with my parents, why would I wanna meet anyone elses??

Jan :earsgirl:

Aww.. you're too nice to me! :goodvibes :rotfl:

I think it is pretty long-term. We have a routine. Which shocked my parents. I think they really looked like this smiley- :scared1: - which made me chuckle. They never thought I'd "calm" down.

He's taking me to Vegas for my 21st and all my friends think he's gonna try to get me to marry him. They say we're practically married already.

We're going to NYC in a few weeks, too! We'll be flying out of Pittsburgh, Vicki!! :woohoo: :dance3:
