We have USAA and love that company! It is actually not through the military though. It is a civilian company that is offered to miltary folks (which has expanded to include others, like retirees, and maybe reservists). We use them for all of our investments, insurance, and USAA is my TA...:thumbsup2

Thank you, you did a lot better at explaining that then I did. All I know is my father tells me it is because he was in the army. I have everything through them. Banking, cars, loans, insurance. But I was unaware that they have TAs. We do not have a local branch here. How does that work.

Best Western Anaheim Inn and Best Western Park Place are also right across the street, and both are decent places to stay. Park Place is the nicer of the 2

None of the Best Westerns will even pull up for pricing. I think now that you mentioned it is a holiday that might be why.

It is kind of like MVMCP for High School Seniors. They close DCA and DL early and high school seniors attend a party. It's a pre-paid event and the schools are assigned to certain nights. Our high school didn't stay overnight, so I am not sure if the other schools do

I am off to bed or I will never get up for the garage sale. Have a good night everyone.

Becky thanks again for the help. I will touch base with you again on this.

That is so cool. They don't do things like that out here. Just another reason to live near the parks. How do I find out what nights those are on.

Cass, how do you like my new avatar? Someone very special made it just for me.

(Thanks):flower3:

I really like it. I was just noticing it tonight.

Is DL a one day deal? Or is it like WDW in Florida where you need a good two days to get through it? I've never been to DL, maybe one day.

You could do DL in one day, but not DL and DCA. But that one day would be a full one. In DL you will find that everything is much closer together and you can cross the park in just a couple of minutes. As a result you can cover a lot of ground. I've grown to hate doing the park in this way. Since my son was born, I've taken the park much slower, adding in plenty of time to just relax and occasionally just sit and enjoy the ambiance. DCA can easily be done in once day. My minimum stay and DLR is now 3 days. And I still don't think it's enough. This Februrary I'll be there for 4-5 days. I like two solid days in DL and one in DCA with another that I split between the two. I'm thinking about squeezing in a trip to Universal Studios this trip. We haven't been since Laura was pregnant with our first.

This was taken about an hour ago. My dad came to visit us. We don't see him too often so it was a nice evening.

Here is the current movie line-up on DCL:

Wild Hogs-- A+ Hilarious!! Must see for us Middle aged "I-feel-like-a-young-buck" guys.
Meet The Robinsons B Lot's of fun.
Bridge to Terabithia Haven't seen it yet. Sounds interesting.
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End A- Better than the second!
Ratatouille B+ really enjoyed this one. Not so good for very young children.
The Game Plan B+ Just saw this... Had a real good time.
Invincible Haven't seen this yet.
Underdog! B- Enjoyable. Patrick Warburton was a great Cad.

Not a bad line-up at all.

Good morning everyone from a cold and miserable grey England.

I'm sitting in this morning waiting for parcels:yay: -$ money, flight tickets, cruise tickets, and another. Hopefully something will turn up soon.

Cant remeber who asked but someone was talking about the Titanic exhibition the other week....its definately closed. The rest of the mercardo is being bulldozed. they were the only business still running. The landlord gave them 3 months to vacate - they ignored it and he got a court order and put the stuff out on the street.

Its re-opening Decmber ina new location but not sure where yet.

Two more trips to the hospital to visit our Godson and by then it'll be Monday already.:rotfl2:

Any more signs of movement Nancy? Hows he doing?

For those of you that have little ones, or just a kid at heart. This site has some downloads that will keep the kids busy during the trip to Fl..

Sorry it is through the Military, But in order to get a military discount you have to be active and we are not. USAA is another company like AAA. Jack of all trade company.
