Sept, Oct, Nov F&W Meets - Will There Be Disers At Your Event?

I will be at --> October 6: Afternoon Tea with Stephen Twining:cool1:

Wanted the 7th but it was booked solid!

Just wondering as I'm penciling in my plans for our stay - its the "start" of Food and Wine - official it is Friday the 28th -

does anyone have a better memory than me?

Do some of the booths do a "dry run" or open early to practice on the Thursday? (or am I just making this up because we went the week after the very first week last year??? I have selective memory sometimes!!)

TIA

I'm counting on some of them being open a day or 2 before the official start on the 28th. Yes, some have opened early in previous years - but my foggy memory doesn't remember which ones! :rotfl:

Updated.

I'm also adding information about sold out events...i'll be going through the thread to pick up on the ones I missed or if you know of one that is also sold out, just message me

:upsidedow DH and I are going to Party for the Senses on 9/29!! 1st trip to WDW, 1st PFTS, 1st everything!

How is the sandcastle club, DD is currently booked in at the Neverland club but the sandcastle would be more convient for us. (Dd is going to be 7) I never thought of the sandcastle.
I don't know yet. This is their first time in any of the kid's clubs -- we've been waiting not-so-patiently for DS to turn 4! I've heard good things about Neverland Club and had originally booked them there for a different night before we decided to do PftS. We're going with Sandcastle for pure convenience -- I hope they like it!

In recent years we almost exclusively use the Sandcastle Club. Neverland is definitely better, but a bit out of the way if your not staying at the Poly or dining near there. Sandcastle is #2 on my kids favorite list for the Disney kids clubs. We like it because of the proximity to Epcot, which is usually where we wind up when not with the kids. When we did the PFTS without our kids, we loved that they were only a few minutes away heaven forbid something unforeseen came up and we had to get to them quickly. The kids never wanted to leave the Sandcastle. I think about 2 years ago they did a refurb there and it is pretty nice. Probably the only kids club on property that I wouldn't highly recommend would be the one at GF, but that is because it is soooooo small. Good care, but not a lot of space there.

DH and I will be at:
10/21 - F&W Pairing R&C
10/23 - F&W Pairing Morocco
10/31 - Regional Feast Turkey
11/3 - Wine School Greek
11/10 - Vertical Tasting

We are also renewing our vows on and it will be our DGD1 first trip to WDW. So I guess it is a super trip for us.

Meg

I'm thinking of somehow attaching a Lime Green Mickey Head to my Party for the Senses wineglass. Good idea? Too unwieldy?

How about making a lime green Mickey head wine charm for your glass! You could use paint chips and attach it to the stem of your wineglass.

In fact, that's such a good idea, I think I will steal (I mean "borrow") it from you!

This is a great idea! But I think I'm going to try green beads and beading cord and twist a Mickey head.

We're doing a NOLA DIS mini meet on Oct 25th at Epcot and I was looking for little ideas for the gals (&spouses).

SHERYL- Quit reading here, or else you won't be surprised!

I've found lime green feather boas for us gals, and light up wine glasses (green, of course) for all of us, some blinky flashy magnet pins for the guys(hula girls, I think) and some glowy bracelets and necklaces for the kiddos. I have an embroidery shop so I'm making little totes with a logo to hold everything. I think some charms would be cute to go with that too!

Thanks for the great Idea! If you see the feathered flock stop us and say something!

That sounds great, and an even better idea for me to "borrow"! Too bad we are leaving on the 21st or I would definitely be on the lookout for all of you. Sounds almost like a reunion of the Sweet Potato Queens, but in lime green.....too funny! :thumbsup2

Updated

I like the idea of the LGMH

I may try to make my own cut out so that its smaller and better suited for my wine glass. I'll have to stop by Michael's in the upcoming weeks and checkout what they have.
