We finally wake up from our nap and its about 315pm or so. Boy were we tired. We dress and get out the door. We get a call from the front desk that we have info regarding a Meet and Greet with Peter Pan for tomorrow. This will require a change of plans but that's already. We are feeling a bit guility since we have already met PP so we make a quick call to our Wish people back home and tell them the situation. They tell us that we can decide to go or not and we decide to do so. Michael will love another meeting with Peter. We finally drive out to SeaWorld! yeah! Mick and I are soooo excited! I have been to the Seaworld in San Antonio as I used to live out there and Mick has been to the one in Cali as he lived out there. We can't wait to see this one.
We get lost in this parking lot and end up in the handicapped section somehow. We stop and ask one of the attendants directing traffic and he just puts us in the next spot. It does not look as busy as Disney is.
The one problem with this is that we are feet from the entrance and there is no tram! Michael has a royal meltdown! Full on kicking screaming fit! Oh boy! Is this a sign. I hope not! We really want to see this park!
He finally calms but my hands are now full. I do not have easy access to my camera as Michael needs a lot of hands on. Mick is grumpy and not dealing well already.
We get into Seaworld and head to Guest Services. I like this Guest Service because it is inside and small and nice. The "baby" room is right there as well. There is water available and as I try and get what we need, including a map, Michael is bouncing off the walls. He is hyper. Mick isn't dealing with him well. Note! the nice guest service lady notices that my hands are full and that Michael is quite hyper and asks if we want a bracelet. What bracelet, I ask. Oh, one of these. And pulls out those bracelets that get put on kids at amusement parks or swimming pools. Their brightly colored and stick to themselves and you can write on them. She says, we put your cell phone number on it and if he gets lost, we'll call you. I'll take two! She tells us we get a free fish plate at the dolphin place and she calls and finds out there is a feeding here soon. Michael is still bouncing off the walls so we go into the baby room. Its small and quiet. I think there are two nursing stations, several highchairs, etc. Cute! Another nice thing about this place is that the strollers are right next door to the Guest Services office. We go and get our stollers. Michael takes off. He is not having a good day. Not good! grrrrr!
Ok, finally we have them in the stroller. Off we go. I'm looking at the map, trying to plan the shows we want to see. Mick and I argue over which shows we should see and when. All on the way to the dolphins! At one point, I stop and Mick keeps going. We're seperated and we're angry. Not good. Will this day get any better?
We finally make it to the dolphins and we wait. Mick goes to chat with some of the workers while we wait. We are waiting in the wheelchair access area, btw. We do get a free dish and we buy one more for Danae. Mick and I are soooo excited. I try and take pictures but I love touching the dolphins so I didn't get many. The photographers there take a few of Michael. I get to touch a dolphin. Danae gets to touch a dolphin. However, Michael can't get close enough due to his abdominal defect. Mick stops one of the trainers and asks for some help. She goes looking for a specific dolphin. After several minutes, she finds this dolphin who actually stays put even without fish. She apparently is well trained and someone gets a good picture of us four and the trainer (however, I don't have a digital version). Michael gets to pet a dolphin! Yay!
Waiting for dolphins. Note their bracelets!
I go to a little hut and I decide to purchase a couple pictures. I do believe I get a discount and we are told not to miss the Christmas Party on Thursday as it is "the best". Apparently they volunteer at this thing often. We make note. The pictures were expensive and I'm not sure I would take them again but one of the pics is the only one I have proving Danae was there so I got it.
Ok. Now where? We both agree that Seamore and Clyde is how on our list and head in that direction. Note: get there early. Once the mime gets there, he mocks everyone who comes in after him and he is hilarious! We decide not to use the stroller as a wheelchair but sit in the wheelchair section as it is packed and we want to be close to the entrance in case we need to make a quick exit.
This is a fantastic show. Somehow, I didn't take one picture as I was so engrossed. And I had my hands full with two kids who were in the mood to be wiggly. They loved the show but Michael was up jumping and moving the entire town. We all truly enjoyed this show and we decided we'd like to see it again. There is a 7pm showing of this show but its "different". We exit and look at the map. We agree to go to Shamu but disagree on how to get there. I finally let him lead and he gets us lost. Grrrrr! We finally make it. We decide to take the stroller in as the kids are just too wiggly. They can't seem to stay still. We try a few occasions and Mick finally finds one. As we pull up, someone else takes our stop. Grrrrr! Finally, another spot but only one adult can sit next to the stroller/wheelchair. Fine! I squeeze into the row in front with Danae. Mick runs off to get something to drink. Mick gets back just in time for the show! The show starts and Michael looses it. It is loud and there is no way he is staying. Mick leaves with Michael. Danae and I stay but Danae is wiggly and I didn't enjoy the show.
This has been another rough day so far. Off we go to find Mick and Michael and they are having the time of their life on the roller coaster! What roller coaster I say! See, I should have done more research on SeaWorld.
For those of you with young kids, their is an "amusement" type park outside of the Shamu Stadium. A mini roller coaster, twirly thing, and a few other rides as well as a waterworks. The kids love this thing and had a blast running around. Michael loves the coaster and we get "front of the line" access to this. After several rides, Mick and I decide the kids are just not going to sit through any shows and we call it a night.
At GKTW they are having "parents night out" where kids are paired with a volunteer and they do activities (movie, dinner, etc) right their on property. Awesome idea! However we are too late for it (you have to sign up for by Tuesday, I believe). That's ok. We get free popcorn and pop at the movie theater, we go ride the train, get ice cream, go on the carousel, go through the castle, see ole elmer and finally get back to the villa and order pizza, do laundry and crash.
Tomorrow, which was supposed to be a late morning is now an early morning. We need to be at MK and at POTC by 950am. Wheeeeee!
Will we get up in time and get out there? What will this Meet be like? Will Mick and I kill each other before the night is out? Stay tuned!
