Hi Schnerk...

I saw you checked in Yesterday. Did you stay up through Dreamgirls? If you fell asleep I'm sure you and SweetinMaine are living together!;) Maybe you were able to stay up because of the Green Tea...(oh, should I have not used those words?):rotfl:

Mmmmm Green Tea! Time for another relapse!

Well, I finshed it. Witht he help of my green friend! But I still don't think I have a problem!

Oh, good morning all :)

Morning! I know, I missed you. Kathy is gone, but Tammy is MIA...maybe she fell asleep and is still dreaming about Dream Girls?:rotfl: :rotfl: ...everyone else usually shows up later.

So I'll just sit here and talk to myself. Tammy, we hope when our kids are grown they will still voluntarily spend time with us. (There is always the DVC to hold over their heads..:rolleyes1 )

This morning was another non-standard one--Field Day! I feel strange because I'm not volunteering this year, but I have been in DSs class three times this week if you count last Friday's field trip, so it was time to do some other things.
I miss doing all of that stuff! Good thing I talked to my friend this morning online. She mentioned having to bake cookies for the afterprom party tonight, and that reminded me that I have to drop off 4 cases of water after 2pm sometime.
The travelin' boy is doing fine. He said his shingles are bugging him less and the little blisters are healing, so I think he's probably on the downhill slide. We have successfully gotten through two nights away without a "come pick him up" call, so the world is good.:goodvibes They DID do the Dolphin cruise yesterday because it was on the Inlet side of the island, not out in the surf. But he said it was a little rough and there were whitecaps on the inlet:eek: ! But they did find some dolphins! They also spent some time at the shore learning from Marine Biologists. I asked him, and he said the waves were big, but we've been to the beach before when there were big storms somewhere else and he said it was about like that. (No, he didn't see anyone from the Weather Channel!) Today they finish up in the historic section of Savannah and head out. As soon as he gets home he has to jump in the car and drive across town for the start of a--you guessed it!--LaCrosse game. They're playing in an end of season tournament that starts tonight!:headache:
Somehow, I dont' think he'd tell you if the weather was really rough. :rolleyes1
And I'm going to try to chase off some of those dust bunnies today and get my house in order since it looks like I'll be doing this all weekend. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
DD's due home tonight. She'll just have to deal with 'what you see is what you get' I did wash her sheets though!......still have to put them on her bed.....
Good morning...A little late checking in...I did fall asleep during DreamGirls so I'll have to watch it again tonight...Being with the grandsons yesterday afternoon tired me out more than I thought..
I just barely made it through ER before I crashed!
Glad that traveling boy is enjoying his trip and getting better from shingles...And for you..:flower3:  because you're a good mom who attends all of the Lacrosse games and attends to all of your childrens needs..And yes, the DVC has been a big plus in keeping our kids vacationing with us even after they are married :goodvibes :thumbsup2
I don't have that, but they insist on hanging around anyway. :rotfl2:

Hi again and Bye again! :upsidedow

You obviously have done something right too! They hang around without bribes:flower3: ...and DD will live with WYSIWYG. She might even make her own bed!;)

You have a big weekend with prom and visitors...have fun!:goodvibes

I've been doing paperwork. All of the ER and surgery bills finally clearing. DS certainly did help us with our deductible!

Tammy, my mom was like you. She had to work, and she wasn't really allowed any time off for school stuff. I think that's why I've been compelled, I remember not understanding her not being there. I didn't grow up mad about it or anything, just as a kid didn't understand why bosses wouldn't just let her get off to do stuff at school like the other moms! You didn't do it ALL wrong, tho, cause look at you guys now!:goodvibes

I've been working on paperwork, now need to go run errands. At the rate I'm going my family may have to live with WYSIWYG too, and the dust bunnies may live to fight another day!:lmao:

You just reminded me that DH got a call from his company's benefits place yesterday.........well, actually a company that they've hired to investigate all the costs associated with ds's broken back. DH was on the phone here interviewing with them "any other insur. to cover? no....blah, blah" and their computer system went down. The guy said he'd call back to finish in 15 min. and never did. I haven't seen the bc/bs bills come through yet, but I'm sure they're shocking! Ok, off to exchange a 'pink' tux tie for the 'fushia' on that goes with ds's g.f.'s dress.......oh, and also pick up the pocket hanky if they have it. He loves me.... :lmao:

Hi Gang, very busy! I will catch up later. :)

Sorry for the fly by, just very busy!

I was able to exchange ds's pink tie for the fushia one, but they didn't have a hanky to match. So I got him the black/fushia diagonal striped set. He said that was his second choice. I made it his only choice!!!:rotfl:
I also looked closely at the vest and found the adjustment thing on it. Now he doesn't have to look like Saggy McBaggy tonight. It didn't bother him, but it bothered me! :upsidedow

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: We moms can't let them go to something important like they look the rest of the time!

You know we're all expecting pictures, right?

Now....where was that grocery list.....?:drive:

I'll be taking pics tonight and see if I have time to post a couple.
I just got off the phone with my mom and she was all excited. She got a delivery of a dozen red roses from my sister today.

Off to pick up a neighbor's afterprom donation to drop off to school with my cases of water. :wave2:

Witch! (sis, not mom)

But your gift had more thought to it...it's actually better! :goodvibes:

Hi everyone! Do you all still remember me? I've been MIA a few days due to being busy, busy, busy at work and home.

I've got some catching up to do on my reading here....have I missed anything good (other than the extension for the challenge)?

I've got to order some dinner, I'll be back in a bit.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yes, it's one of those "shift" kinda days.

Muhlenberg, ya gotta throw us a bone or two.

lips-pillow?
Mandy Moore - more?
book and rocks - under layers or something?
Grover Cleveland - Cleveland?

In Cleveland the pillows have more layers?

judging YES
starts YES
celebrate NO

We'll celebrate when the judging starts? The judges are starting to celebrate? NO

Sorry, but the more guesses I give the more "out there" they will be.:rolleyes1
Sorry...just got back and unloaded.:)

Or the lips could be kiss...

Kiss books more grover?

Cleveland Kiss more rocks?

OK, here's a picture clue about what's under the stickies on my desk...

bullas-dust-bunnies-figurine.jpg

No to all of the above. Cute bunnies.

 Hi Nancy (missed you again) and Kathy. Busy night here with prom and gathering at someone's house so parents could all take pictures. DS's hair matched his tie/hanky and the diagonal ruffle on his g.f.'s dress perfectly! They really looked good together.:) I think I'll hold off on posting any pics for right now though. DD called about an hour ago and said she was getting ready to head up here. I had posted earlier that the bay bridge tunnel she uses had a big accident last night. It wasn't that one. It was the bay bridge that's on the other side closer to Norfolk or wherever. oops! :rolleyes1

Just went through and caught up on reading. I am SO GLAD you guys were not in a real talkative mood!:lmao:

Mom's out in Illinois visiting her sister that's in a nursing home. She's also visiting with some of her extended family. I just sent a bud vase with 3 red roses (her fav) because I have a bro and sis......that makes 3. :) I hope mom's not disappointed that it's not a whole dozen. I did put the meaning on a card for her.

I am a firm believer in less means more. It takes no thought to order a dozen roses, but to come up with 3 for each child took thought. I have done that for my MIL. My FIL died before any of us had kids, so on their anniversary I would give her roses (1 for each granchild) along with a little thinking of you card. This year would have been their 50th and my SIL wants to throw a party for her:confused3 :confused3 . My DH flipped out. He told her that Mom will not want a party yo remind her that Dad is gone..so we should just all go out to dinner close to the date. I like the dinner idea better than a party.

We all seem to be missing each other online today. I haven't checked in here too much today. I have discovered a new way to keep track of all the notes about this challenge.

I figured that since I didn't have time to drive it........................

OK, I've been trying to talk DH into DVC so I will NOT tell him that. HIS dream is to take vacations by ourselves again! He wants to go to Key West and DD #2 said she wants to go too...he said to her "If we go to Key West no kids are coming along". That cracks me up because he is so into having to know where they are all the time so thinking that he would go out of town and leave them is too, too funny.

Silly work story.

My store does 100 % proofing for buying beer (so even if you are 80 years old you have to show ID).

Today a cashier calls me over to OK an out of state license. I look at it, looks ok to me hand it back. He show me a NY license that says temporary visitor on it. I don't even take the time to look at the person in line, just looked at the words, checked that it wasn't expired and told cashier it was ok.

I walk away to help another customer and when I finish first cashier calls me back over. He says to me...I wasn't calling about the temporary thing, I was showing you the name on it....that was Thomas Vanek! (Thomas vanek is on the Sabres...see below). So me..I'm doing a stupid nancy thing in my head...but to the cashier I said..."oh that, I am so not impressed by that stuff" BUT inside I'm kicking myself all over creation for missing it!

We have a lot of the Sabres shopping in our store and I always seem to miss them...but 4 of them do live by my Mom and I did see one of them walking his cute little dog last week when I picked up my Mom to go to CT.

You don't think about 'famous' people doing their own shopping! Too bad you didn't recognize the name right away. What would you have done?

I didn't even look at the name! Me, I would have very calmly walked away and then I would have run into my little room and called home to tell my DD #2 that I just saw a hockey player...cause she would be SOOOOOOOO jealous!:rotfl:
